Club Hatteras After Dark! You don't have to be a kid to participate in Hatteras Realty's After Dark Summer Series. These two programs combine the great food and great stories that have been passed down through generations along the Outer Banks by the local folk who have etched out their lives where land and sea meet. Experience the essence of the Hatteras culture through our cuisine and legends. Carolina Coastal Cooking This program is sure to please even the most discriminate palet as our chef Bob prepares local favorites before your very eyes. He will also share hints of seafood selection, cleaning and preparation. Our chef is constantly combining the new trends from the culinary arts with the tried and true traditions of Outer Banks cooks. Carolina Coastal Cooking is held on Wednesday nights from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The charge is $10 per person. Reservations required. Seating is limited to 32. Hatteras Heroes: History & Mystery For a night of exciting and interesting storytelling, don’t miss historian Danny Couch’s show, “Hatteras Heroes- History and Mystery.” This event is free to the public and sure to keep visitors on the edge of their seats! The whole family will enjoy Couch’s storytelling style and multi-media presentation on everything from the origin of the name “Graveyard of the Atlantic” to lighthouse lore, pirate tales, the first settlers on the island and the geologic processes that created our dynamic barrier islands. “The History here on this little sandbar we call Hatteras is compelling,” says Couch, known on the Outer Banks as the “Hatteras Historian.” Hatteras Heroes is presented every Thursday night at 7pm. This program is free. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended. Payment Options: Club Hatteras Kids and Hatteras After Dark are fee-based programs. Reservations are advised and can be made at check-in.
