This unique location offers those amazing ocean sunrises and sound sunsets that have helped make Outer Banks vacations famous, with the added bonus of the Cape Hatteras lighthouse in full view to the south. SUSHI offers peace & quiet, no traffic noise, and a place where kids can safely explore the Outer Banks habitat. SUSHI is equally well-suited and equipped for corporate retreats, with modern audio/video and computer systems, and large custom seating areas in the Library, Great Room, Dining Area, and Game Room.

For watersports, SUSHI is one of the closest homes to the Canadian Hole, where colorful windsurfers and kite boarders put on a great show just a few hundred yards to the north. This 4-inch thick, 4-foot wide, master of the home is constructed from solid Ironwood, glass blocks, and a huge pair of brass boat cleats that serve as door handles. Many of the glass blocks are filled with Buxton beach sand, seashells, fishing lures, and other maritime memories. A few steps up from the door and you're on the first floor of the main house, which sports a well-stocked Library with a 180-year old early-American library table and window seat, business office with custom tiger maple desk, Dell 2.4GHz PC with high speed wireless cable internet, HP color printer, color copier, and fax with dedicated phone line, a private gym overlooking the sound and ocean, a bedroom with two XL twin beds and solid teak furniture, a full bath, and soundfront & oceanview decks with custom 2-person Ironwood hammock.

The second floor of the main house offers 2 private master suites with soundfront & oceanview decks, an 8-person hot tub with shoulder & foot jets overlooking the sound & ocean (awesome moon and stars at night!), and a fully-equipped laundry room with Indian marble flooring and tiger maple cabinets.

Float up to the third floor, where you’ll find the Great Room with vaulted ceilings, high-end 6.1 DVD home theater system with digital cable, wireless weather station, VHF radio, gas wood stove, wet bar with ice maker and beverage center, custom leather couches, half bath, and spectacular sound, ocean, & lighthouse views through 180 degrees of windows and wrap-around decks. Want more? Cruise through the third floor breezeway to SUSHI's 4-level tuna tower! The first three floors of the tower are secluded master suites with private baths and soundfront/oceanview decks. The fourth floor of the tower is the Game Room with custom tiger maple pool table and real shark teeth inlays, plasma TV with satellite and cable, 5.1 DVD home theater system, over 30 feet of built-in seating along the walls, half bath, and 360 degrees of deck overlooking the sound, sea, and lighthouse. On the ground level, SUSHI welcomes and entertains guests with a crushed seashell driveway that first passes by a set of horseshoe pits, volleyball net, and custom Ironwood dartboard, which are great for outside happy hour tournaments or occupying competitive siblings. The driveway continues through a stand of live oaks and leads to 2 elevated concrete carports, each with hoses for washing the sand and salt off your vehicles. Great house! Great view! Good cardio exercise up and down the steps. Kitchen was TOP OF THE LINE for all the chefs in our group. All the kids had a great time crabbing and the dock was peaceful at night for us old folks too.

We've been to the outer banks 6 times, and stayed at 4 different places. Once we found Sushi we've had no reason to go anywhere else. Definitely a fun house, with lots of amenities, and personal touches. Unlike many of the places we have been to, the owner lives in Buxton, and cares a lot about his property, and that you enjoy your stay. He personally greets you when you arrive! Easily accomodates large and small groups - plently of space, but not so big you can't find your friends! Wonderful kitchen. Unobstructed veiws of the sunrise and sunset. In most conditions you can windsurf right off the dock, or a 5 min drive to Canadian Hole. Just can't say enough about the Sushi house!

Of all of the houses where we have stayed in the Outer Banks, Sushi is by far the best! It is an extremely well cared for property with many personal touches. We love the views, the pool, the layout of the house, and the wonderful kitchen! From windsurfing to kayaking, to lounging at the pool or in the hot tub, Sushi offers it all!

This house completes the trip to OBX! Been staying here for 7 years now! It features more than anyone could expect. Lots of room to move around, well equiped kitchen, pool table room on top floor, and even 2 private rooms located off of the main house. The upgrades are never ending, every year we find that the owner has improved! Great views of the sunrise/set. When you think you have run out of things to do...take a trip out on Sushi for a fun day of deep sea fishing! Things are never ending at this house.
