General Information

From the north turn right at the Cape Hatteras Baptist Christian Church onto Buccaneer Drive. The Brigand’s Bay subdivision is one of the island’s older developments. It is however one of the best, because there are over 460 well-kept lots in this spacious waterfront subdivision. The great majority of the canalfront properties are perfect for fishing, kayaking, SUP, or small boating. Say shallow draft outboard boats up to 23’ like the popular Carolina Skiff. There are over 50 direct soundfront lots that offer outstanding watersports access. Windsurfing and kiting enthusiasts love the Brigand’s Bay soundfront. The homes range from older original three bedroom beach boxes to large luxurious four bedroom residences. There are a small number of homes with pools. Brigand’s Bay is perhaps the closest large subdivision where boaters can access the clamming grounds of Hatteras and also have entrance to Hatteras Inlet and the ocean. Brigand’s Bay also splits the difference perfectly for surf fishermen who want to visit the Cape Point one day and the False Point at Hatteras the next. Kids will love to read about the historical significance of the Cora Tree on Snug Harbor Drive at brigandsbay.org.
