Free access to the pier, fitness center, and video rentals was very nice. The house was quite comfortable, and it was a quick stroll to the boardwalk with an easy walk over the dune to the beach. We would definitely rent this home again. It was a better value than the oceanfront home we rented last year, and we enjoyed it more.

If you are a fisherman this is the house free access to the pier, and plenty other things for family as well pool, tennis, putt-putt. The house grew on us as the week went.

My family and I have stayed at this property in the past , and have totally fallen in love with it . We are planning to come back next year in August , but I feel like I can't wait that long . We LOVE the pool access and the free movie rentals that is a VERY nice feature . We have not yet used the free workout room passes at Spa Koru , but we may next year . There is also free mini golf and fishing , but the golf course is rough and we have never caught one thing with the fishing on the pier . Some fun things to do while you are there are to take the ferry out to Ocracoke island and eat at Howards Pub , they have very tasty food . I do NOT insist on eating at Dirty Dicks restaurant , we were not impressed with them at all and will not go back . Also if you are ever in Carolla take ride at Rick's Jeeps Adventures . They will take you for a ride on the beach and will get to see some wild horses that were set lose there by the Spanish a couple of centuries ago . Be sure to see the Whalehead Club and Carolla lighthouse also they are very interesting things to visit . And last but not least have a nice trip !

Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars...It is not the newest and best home in Avon. But for the price, condition and location it is the BEST BUY IN AVON. FREE PIER, GOLF, SPA AND VIDEOS are wonderful! Oh, and the NEW LIFT FOR YOUR LUGGAGE! Located as a side ocean view, we see more of the water than some of the homes on the water with the DUNES in front of them. Can walk to the Pier, Golf, Video Store, restaurants, Spa and medical center and even to the pool at Hatteras Realty! The owners do upgrades to this home every year. We ask for wireless Internet and got it! As a retired real estate agent, we checked out a dozen homes before deciding on this one about 6 years ago! We come to Pier Preshore about 4 to 6 wks each year! And plan to keep on coming to this home!
