The best equiped kitchen that I have ever encountered, good storage area for fishing equipment and beach items, good handicapped facilities, good location within walking distance near a food market and hardware store that has everything .

With our large family, it was a home for all ages. Especially nice to have master suites for 5 individual families sharing a cottage for a week. We have been vacationing on Hatteras Island for over 20 years and this was our favorite home thus far!!! Thanks for a wonderful week even with the pesky mosquitoes.

Descansar is a wonderful, comfortable, well-appointed, well-cared for home. It is easily a step above every other home in it's price range that we have rented. It's spacious, impeccably decorated, extremely well-equipped, and the owners have taken great care to anticipate every possible need of their renters. We usually house-hop, but our experience here was so overwhelmingly positive that we've re-booked for next year!

What a wonderful welcome basket of goodies was left by the owners! The owners show more caring and thoughtfulness to detail, completeness, and quality than we have ever experienced with OBX rentals. This started with their architectural layout of every floor and continues through obvious refreshes of needs and additions as they occur. Every door, drawer, cabinet, and room opens to abundant, thoughtful surprises. Spa Koru, movie rentals, elevator, and hot tub are superb additions. We only wish the family that booked the week before us, and who obviously liked the house as much as we did, had not rebooked for 2010 so we could have booked for two weeks in 2010.
