The private beach was not very usable. It was covered in seaweed and should not be listed as usable --Message from Manager-- Many of the soundfront homes on the Island do acquire an accumulation of seaweed on the beaches from normal weather washing it ashore. This does not make any of the beaches on the soundfront unusable. It is a natural part of the habitat.
The amenities that this home offers , the pool, hot tub, movie theater, jacuzzis, kayaks, etc. made our vacation fun, relaxing, and enjoyable for everyone!

Wet Bar #1 is near the pool table and very convienent for icy cold beverages for the game room, theater or pool. Wet Bar #2's refrigerator is ideal for wine. The interior decor was well thought out. The elevator is a "must" if you're cooking and need to fill the kitchen cupboards from the local grocery store for the first time. The pool looked small but was really big enough for our group. The kitchen has two different style coffee makers, so if you make a lot of coffee as our group did in the morning, you'll need two different styles of filters. The kitchen had enough pots, pans, etc. to cook for 15. It was missing a rolling pin if you were going to bake, a crock pot, and of course sharp knives. If you're going to grill, a strong wind from the sound tends to blow out the propane flame. There is no beach even though its Soundfront. The back yard is more of a swamp and accurately shown as such in the photos, be sure to wear lots of mosquito repellent. Hatteras Realty's Maintenance dept was notified about a minor plumbing repair and the worn out parts on the french door. They were there the next day fixing things. This was a great house, for some in our group new to the Outer Banks, they loved the decks and the view of the Sound.
