May 2009: A newer clean place Out of the way, very quiet off season. No views and no sun exposure on either porches but the swings are nice and the gas grill is a must. 2 queen rooms have no clothes dressers. Great TV and satelite package in living room, seats 4-6 very comfy. 1 TV in bunk room only visible from 2 top bunks. If you read in bed bring a book light, no lamps. Only sits 4 comfortably for eating at kitchen island, no dining table. Outside shower room and laundry room are located on back porch with separate outside entry. Cool ice machine but noisey. A good place for 4-6 adults who are all day beach goers and need a good shower, a good grill maybe a movie and a good nights sleep.

We enjoyed the house. It was nice having the semiprivate pool. We were almost the only ones using it. Do not let the back road drive to get to the house turn you off. It is a great little hidden treasure with creek/sound access. The only real drawback is the lack of a dining table and seating for eating dinner.

Overall a great house to rent. We really loved the free standing ice maker in the wet bar. We did not have to buy ice the entire week to put in our coolers for the beach. Loved the layout of the house, central family room / kitchen w/ 4 bedrooms surrounding this central area. Very private / secluded location w/ private pier/dock on canal, private boat ramp & pool.

Overall, this was a great house for a summer vacation. We had 7 adults & 3 kids and it fit us well. There is not a whole lot of "extra" room but the layout worked well for our family. The road that you take to get back to the house is questionable, it sits on a secluded lot, however, it's not bad. The 3 other units (2 connected duplexes) in this area were vacant so we had the pool to ourselves. The pool was well taken care of and nice. To say the kitchen is "stocked" is incorrect - the bare minimum was available. This was consistent with the rest of the home - a fairly new home but did not have some essentials such as bathroom mats in all bathrooms. The porch, with nice swings was very nice! The outside shower was a nice addition. As mentioned in another review, the eating area is tight but this also allowed for more room for the kids to play in the nice open living room area. Overall, this house made for a great vacation!
