Kiteboarding Hatteras is a full-on experience that won’t disappoint you. The lay-out of the Cape creates prime conditions for kitesurfers of all abilities that come to harness the power of the prevailing South Westerly wind. The Outer Banks is a large area where the water is smooth and shallow – an ideal place to learn and the perfect spot to practice your tricks. Here you will find miles and miles of waist deep water.

	Kiteboarding Hot Spots Kite Point- Just past the renown Canadian Hole, this is a good place to check out when first in Cape Hatteras kiteboarding. There you will meet other kiters with useful information. The shallow waters and steady winds make for a great spot for beginners and advanced riders. Salvo Day Launch- The water is shallow enough that you can touch the bottom and the shore is a slightly protected cove, which reduces some of the chop.
