The holiday season is upon us and Hatteras Island is ready to start the celebrations. Local events for all ages will be taking place all month long and you're invited!
Wednesday, December 11th
Bingo! @ Cape Hatteras Anglers Club
Join the CHAC for the last BINGO night of the year! This family friendly game night offers an evening filled with games, prizes and refreshments. Doors open at 6pm.
Saturday, December 14th
Winter Lighthouse Climb @ Cape Hatteras Lighthouse
The lighthouse will be open for a few hours in the morning to allow visitors and residents a chance to enjoy the winter view of Hatteras Island from the top. Climbing Hours: 9am – Noon – FREE!
Holiday at the Museum @ Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum
Spend the day at the museum for their holiday party! The event includes crafts for the kiddos, live music, and festive refreshments. Break for the Hatteras Village Christmas Parade at 2pm and then head back to the museum to finish up the day with holiday cheer. Party Hours: Noon - 5pm.
Christmas Parade Party @ Lee Robinson General Store
Join the crew of the general store for their annual parade party. Refreshments, family fun, and friendship will be had by all! At 2pm head outside to watch the Hatteras Village Christmas Parade march by. Party Hours: 1pm – 3pm
Hatteras Village Christmas Parade @ Hatteras Village
Park along Highway 12 in Hatteras Village for a front row seat to the annual Christmas Parade. Watch as decorated floats, marching bands, fire trucks, and the big guy himself, Santa Claus, cruise through the village tossing out candy and goodies. Parade Starts at 2pm at Teach’s Lair Marina and will wind through the village to the Hatterasman Drive Thru.
Tuesday, December 31st
Old Farts NYE Party @ Pangea Tavern
Pangea Tavern will be hosting their annual NYE party for those that cannot stay up until midnight to watch the ball drop. The party will include live music by Jeremy and the Generations, champagne toast, and dropping of the anchor at 10pm to celebrate 2020.
Roaring 20s NYE Celebrations @ Lighthouse Sports Bar
Ring in the new year 1920s style! Dress to impress in 20s theme attire (encouraged, but not required) and get ready to dance the hours away until the clock strikes midnight. Must be 21+.
