The great room features 360-degree views, while the living area has a large TV (one of four in the house) and a Blu-ray player. There are also two DVD players, a stereo/CD player, and free high-speed WiFi. You'll have access to a lockable storage area, a grill, and compressed air for 4WD vehicles. I want to address some of the reviews I read about the house being out-dated. I suppose you can say that if you're going to the beach for the decor of the house your staying in to which I say you're vacationing wrong. The house reminded me of a perfect 1990s era beach house which is a dream to a 90s kid. You can not beat the view this house has. The balconies on this house are amazing sight seeing gems. The beach is literally in your back yard and to anyone with anything negative to say about this house I feel it says more about them than the house. This house is located a mile from a food lion which is very convenient as to there are not grocery stores every mile in the outer banks. There are restaurants and little souvenir shops with in walking distance in both directions. The pier is a half a mile away. It's a great area to walk your dog (which is why we picked this house - dog friendly!) This trip was dedicated to our dog Griffin who has cancer and won't be getting another beach trip. He got to have fun in the ocean and sand one last time. Very clean and accurate to how the pictures represented the location. Our only complaint was that the sliding glass doors from the balcony to the kitchen were not properly sealed for rain. It rained Friday and Saturday of our stay, and even with the screen and sliding glass doors shut, water continually dripped in from outside. We ended up putting towels on the floor to try and keep the water from pooling. When those soaked through, we used the garbage cans from the bathrooms to collect the dripping water for the remainder of the trip. The main second floor room was great for our family with a table big enough for all of us. Decks were roomy only wish there were cushions available for the seats. Beach was uphill and pets were allowed there. We had a bonfire one evening which was allowed with permit. Only complaint was lack of close proximity to the pool. There were no community pools opened so kids had to be driven to pool at VACASA headquarters. Important to know to bring your own beach equipment and boards as there is none onsite. VayK is no longer available for rentals. Otherwise it was enjoyable house and right on beach. Just be patient getting there. Be prepared for a lot of stairs but that is typical for the area. The decks are in a little rough of shape but have many options for sitting or laying out, we really enjoyed the raised chairs so you had a great vantage point to see over the railings to the beach. The bathrooms and bedrooms are on the smaller side but the beds were comfortable to sleep in. Two of the rooms do get a lot of sun though as the blackout curtains are on the doors but not the windows. I typically stay south of the pier but this area surprised me with how quiet and private it is.
