The dune to get to the beach is no joke - if you have mobility issues this definitely is NOT the place for you. The kitchen had all the necessities for cooking meals at home, the shared space was nice enough. There were a few small things that were noticed as not being cleaned prior to our arrival. I found several pistachio shells under couches/chair in the living room and a window in the downstairs bathroom was left open by the prior occupants. A/C worked great, the outdoor shower was nice, and the hot tub was definitely enjoyed in the evenings - lovely stargazing from the top deck. The location of the house was close to all necessities: shops, restaurants, local businesses. We had an issue with our access code at the very beginning of check in, but it was rectified immediately so that was definitely appreciated! The house was very clean and comfortable, and included more amenities than expected. We ate in most of the trip and it seems like a small thing but having quality cookware was a welcome surprise! Our last trip to OBX was almost 20yrs ago.
