This oceanfront five-bedroom house has a near-perfect resort design and a large furnished sundeck that wraps around the entire east side of the home. Topping this special home is a Widow's Watchtower with seating and postcard views of the ocean and sound. The ground level has concrete parking with an easily accessible first-level entrance.This home is off the main highway in a neighborhood that is great for walking, biking, and walking. Everyone will be happy in the extra-large game room, and enjoy the wet bar with a full fridge, a microwave, and a sink. A laundry nook is convenient for all your laundry needs. You'll have a pool table, a game table, and a well-furnished media corner anchored by an extra-large streaming TV with surround sound and a DVD player. Around the corner are sleeping quarters with a pyramid bed and a nearby full bath with a shower. This level has deck access to the oceanfront swimming pool with a hot tub and a furnished sundeck. Recently renovated, the pool area now features a tropical bar with hot and cold water, a fridge, outdoor shower, and outdoor bathroom.The second level opens with a large oceanfront king main first bedroom and a king main second bedroom offering streaming TV, a full bath with a tub/shower, and access to a large, shaded, oceanfront deck with deck furniture. The third bedroom has two bunks, great for the kids. The fourth bedroom has a queen bed, streaming TV, and deck access, and is close to a hallway half-bath.It's all eyes open to the ocean on the third level which includes tall cathedral ceilings and plank flooring throughout this open floor plan. The great room has a comfortable living area with a large streaming TV and DVD player. The large kitchen has stainless appliances, two dishwashers, and a breakfast bar. The dining area has a large table and a west sunset deck. This floor also has a south-facing screened porch with a picnic table and ocean to sound views.Things to Know:The private pool will open seasonally from 04/01/2026 and close 10/09/2026. Dates are subject to change.Free Pool Heat April 1- May 29, and September 12- October 9, 2026 The home is equipped with an elevator and accessibility-friendly ramp.You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. The pool is open seasonally from April through mid-October. ------------------------------ ## Reviews ### (4/5 stars) The pool had lot of sand in it upon arrival. The pool deck and pool bar area also had a lot of sand that we cleaned off as best we could. We called and left a message about the pool area but never saw anyone clean the pool or had anyone call us back. We did have a problem with the air conditioner on the top floor and a maintenance man was very prompt in response and got the unit working before it got too hot on that level. Both sets of steps were very creaky/noisy to walk on (especially with sleeping children). We did not know about the very high dunes to climb over to get to the ocean (glad we were all is pretty good physical shape). The high dunes also made the ocean view impossible unless you were on the highest level of the house. We had to leave the house one day early due to the heavy rain and the road/bridge temporary closing and threat of additional rain. The loss of use for one night was financially disappointing. Climbing the dune to the beach was problematic for three in our group. If you have trouble with walking, it probably isn't the house for you. The loose sand and steep uphill climb is for the younger generation. The pool was great and a perfect temperature. The stickers that get on feet are a problem so I recommend having one pair of shoes for outside and a trash bag and paper towels to scrape off shoes at the lower level. That way the stickers aren't tracked through the house. I would love to stay at Tanourfannies again if it weren't for the rest of my family. Multiple fridges on different levels made for easy access when we spent days down by the pool and hot tub. Views of both the ocean and the sound side from the crows nest. The house was clean. More than enough bedrooms and sleeping arrangements. The walk to the beach was very short, just have to climb over 1 sand dune, but it's not a very strenuous climb. You do not have to be in great physical shape to make the walk. My mother who had both knees replaced was able to make the walk without any issues (just bring sneakers). Large family room is perfect for watching movies and playing games. We loved that the decks, pool and hot tub, all of which were very clean. No sewage issues like the one review mentioned. Great layout, played a lot of pool and lounged on the couches. Just a short climb over a dune to get to the beach. None of the surrounding towns are overly touristy which was awesome. The kids loved the pool and proximity to the beach. The adults appreciated all the kitchen space, three refrigerators, and two dishwashers. Bedrooms were spacious and plenty of bathrooms/showers for the 9 of us. Washer and dryer on-site in very good condition. New decking was gorgeous and allows for nice outdoor time. Sand leading to beach is HOT - so wear sandals. And there are little burrs that hitchhike into the house — so we ended up wearing socks or slippers inside. Entry was seamless. We were there over the Easter weekend and the weather was cold, windy, and rainy. So we enjoyed the pool table. The home was stocked with more board game than l can name. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pan, bakeware, cookware and even had a griddle, crockpot, Keurig and two dishwashers. The views were amazing. The elevator was very useful for our luggage and groceries. Lighting was great! It was clean, spacious and felt like home. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We had plenty of room for my family and our German Shepherd. Our 5 night stay was amazing, despite the bad weather.
