My family and I enjoyed staying at this beautiful home. It was quiet and cozy. The porch was outstanding to sit out on and enjoy the weather especially in the morning. The outside shower was also a plus, especially with little kids. I would definitely recommend staying at this house and I actually looked at the upcoming schedule to book for next summer and unfortunately they are all booked up!

Loved the location and the how well kept the house and property were. Short walk to the beach and great seafood nearby. Plan to pick up extra amenities, bring shampoo, etc. Great experience.

The Buxton Hideaway was easily the most relaxing stay we have had in the Outer Banks. Comfy beds and the tucked away location behind the brush make you feel like you’re in your own private world. Having all that and still being able to hear and see the ocean from our room was such a bonus. I am a remote worker and the WiFi was more than capable of handling my needs as well as streaming sports at the same time without buffering. We truly have no complaints. My sleep was better than it had been in months and the kitchen equipment made it so we didn’t have to leave if we didn’t want to. It truly is the perfect getaway. I can’t imagine how wonderful it is in the summer and I can’t recommend it enough.

Recently stayed at the Buxton Hideaway as a getaway for my Father-in-law in-between his chemotherapy sessions and for our 90 year old grandmother. Didn't have to worry about his immune system as the home was very clean and very well kept. Great lounging area on the deck for all of us to sit and relax and soak up the sounds of the waves and breathe the fresh ocean air and feel the gentle breeze. Nicely equipped kitchen for us to prepare family dinners during our stay, and a comfortable dining area for long dinner conversations. Guest services was quick to respond to any questions/concerns we had; they provided excellent customer service. This home is a great place if you're looking for a quiet, serene place in OBX. Highly recommend!

Lovely home and location. Very secluded which we appreciated. Could still hear the ocean and loved the 3/4 wrap around deck. Backyard was perfect for family games.
