Would definitely recommend this place if you are bringing a pet along and want a space for them, while still being close to the beach.

Enjoyable stay! Perfect place if you just want something simple and relaxing. It had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable. The location put us right in the middle of where we like to go on NC12. The only complaint I have is that there was some kind of capsule left on the kitchen floor up under the cabinet that my dog found. Thank goodness he spit it out and we were able to throw it away.

Affordable place not far from the beach, restaurants and activities. Make sure you and your pups can climb stairs. Worked into fitness plan. Nice neighborhood. Would rent again.

Beautiful weather and we went to surfing competition to watch at Avon Pier. Great music and nice family fun!

Location was place. Close to everything Avon has to offer. Short walk to beach even if you drove to drop beach gear (tent surf boards coolers there was no parking but people there understanding just unloading. - after mall you are on island time. The unit was perfect for us. Nicely decorated and beds very nice it was at night lights out game over we slept soundly Bathroom served it’s purpose. Maybe some may want a more updated bathroom But it’s a beach house There was also an outdoor shower and also a hose. Great for hosing down beach equipment. And one self Would highly recommend. Reluctantly. Want to say this for selfish reasons. I would like to re-rent the place again. Definitely coming back. Thank you.

The place itself has modest furnishings, but plenty of utensils and a nice setup for any couple with child, potentially two couples. Nice deck, fenced in back yard for pooch and even a common TV room on the ground floor, to hang out in. All pertinent places --- Food Lion, Water Sports, Kitty Hawk Kite Surfing, Fresh Fish Market nearby. It is 3rd floor so pack light, and the beach is across Highway 12, but still only a 5 minute walk. I give the place a 4, only taking away for Hwy 12 and 3rd floor. Vacasa gets a Zero for customer service. They are a west coast company, so when you call their office, you are talking to someone in Oregon who reads off a prepared script. In my first time renting the year before last, it took maintainence three days to come over and adjust the TV setting so I could watch TV. And they never answered the question of where the public walkway was (100 feet from the house). (Its behind a cactus garden). This time around, it took three days just to book the reservation. Their websites were not accepting payment, so I finally had to call their Oregon office to pay over the phone. They required me to upload an ID before confirming the reservation, and the ID system they have set up would not accept my upload, so my reservation got canceled. It took numerous phone calls, of which I kept telling them I could go in person to their local office in Avon. One of their specialists told me they didn't have an office in Avon, it was just a maintainance shed, when actually it is a large building with about 15 Vacasa vehicles. Then at the last minute, on the day I arrived, they called me insisting I sign the Rental agreement they had emailed me 90 minutes earlier. So I had to drive around for a half hour to find a McDonalds to get online with my laptop. For some reason, Vacasa does not want you talking to anyone in their local office, and wants you to talk to their west coast office, featuring specialists who --- as I found out --- are not allowed access to certain information because it is a North Carolina rental. Of the two places that I have stayed with Vacasa, one was the most perfect house I have ever stayed in, and this last one I really have no complaints and would recommend it highly, so long as you know it is a 3rd floor unit and you have to cross Highway 12 to get to the beach. But I am recommending that if you don't want your vacation ruined before it even begins, that you find all other options with other entities before renting with Vacasa, and if you do rent from them, you need to do it months in advance to cover all the issues you may encounter as I did. Also, if there is a maintainence issue with your unit, do not bother calling their maintainence line because it sends you to Oregon. Try going to the local office in person (yes they have one, and it's huge and well-staffed, and the staff is very friendly and cordial --- though for some reason Vacasa doesn't want you to know they have local contacts.)

The property was clean and cozy. Plenty of room for 2 people on a long weekend. Parking was good as well.

We loved every second of out trip stay at the Tarpon! Our dogs loved it, and it was just enough room for us. It had everything we needed. Only downside was no washer/dryer, but we packed accordingly! A lady at the vacasa office even offered for us to use the washer/dryer at the office. Very sweet people! We will be back!

Unit was incredibly clean with a great AC. I would stay again. Only weakness was poor water pressure and volume. Good stay
