Welcome to The Hatch, a charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath oceanside cottage that puts you close to the best of Avon. With the beach just a short walk away, a screened porch for relaxing, community pool access, and local shops and restaurants nearby, this pet-friendly home makes it easy to settle into Hatteras Island vacation mode.

Inside, the bright and comfortable open floor plan brings the living, dining, and kitchen areas together, giving everyone plenty of space to gather. Kick back for a movie after a day at the beach or prepare the day's fresh catch in the well-equipped kitchen featuring sleek stainless steel appliances.

Step outside and enjoy your morning coffee or an evening drink on the screened porch, or gather around the picnic table on the sun deck for an outdoor meal. When you're ready for the beach, a quick walk through the neighborhood leads to the nearby community beach access.

After a day of surfing, fishing, or soaking up the sun, the enclosed outdoor shower, hose, and fish-cleaning station make cleanup a breeze. Guests can also enjoy access to the community pool during their stay.

Around Avon Village: There’s plenty to enjoy beyond the beach! Grab fresh local seafood, browse locally owned shops, or cast a line from the historic Avon Fishing Pier. Outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of nearby ORV beach access ramps or head to the Haulover Day Use Area for easy sound access, watersports, and beautiful views across the Pamlico Sound. 

Beach Access: Just a short walk from the house! Head east on Marlin Drive toward the ocean, then follow the neighborhood route to North Beachcomber Drive. The beach access is located at the end of North Beachcomber Drive, where you can follow the walkway over the dunes and onto the beach. The access is approximately 176 yards from the home.

Community Amenities: The Club Hatteras Community Pool and Playground are located at 41156 NC Hwy 12 Avon, NC 27915. The pool is generally open seasonally. Please note that the operation of community pool dates and times may vary dependent on weather and pool management companies.  

The Hatch's convenient Avon location puts local restaurants, bakeries, ice cream shops, tackle shops, and more just across Highway 12, giving you plenty to explore without venturing far from home.

With easy beach access, comfortable outdoor spaces, a convenient location, and room for your four-legged family members, The Hatch is ready to welcome you to your next Hatteras Island stay.

No Smoking/Vaping. Dog Friendly - 2 Dogs Maximum Allowed. Dogs allowed for an additional per pet fee.
