Take pleasure in the sunrise and sunset from this unique Avon, NC home. This 4-story vacation home is the perfect place to enjoy breathtaking panoramic oceanfront-like views. Sipping your hot drink, you witness the birth of the day as the sun rises over the rolling ocean. End each day relaxing with views of the sunset from the screened-in porch just off the main living area. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac with beach access walkways directly across from the home. You will love the convenience of returning home from the beach for lunch or quick bathroom breaks while the rest of your party carries on with their adventures.

Rogue Wave is equipped for large gatherings with its top-level open floorplan entertainment space. The great room with its soaring ceilings is filled with a comfortable sectional and recliners as well as a table for puzzles and games. The 55” smart TV is provided with Spectrum for local TV/cable programming and is ready for you to login to your favorite streaming apps through Roku. There are games, puzzles, books, and a large DVD collection to enjoy while visiting as well. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the equipment you could need including a toaster oven, large coffee maker, a Keurig machine, instant hot water pot, and a commercial ice maker. Comfortable seating is available at the kitchen counter, or choose from the 10-person large dining tables either in the dining area or on the screened-in porch.

The lower two bedroom levels create a private resting experience for guests with ocean views from most bedrooms. Bedrooms are equipped with TVs and Roku for streaming. Towels and sheets are provided and all beds are made and ready for your arrival. Note: single sheets for top bunks are provided but not made. The middle bedroom level has a king master bedroom with a large walk-in closet which can double as a small nursery with a small rocker and plenty of room for a pack ‘n play (not provided). This room also has a desk for working or writing. The bunk room has plenty of room for a fun sleepover experience and books about ocean adventures to explore. Enjoy the wrap-around deck and the large six-person outdoor hot tub to relax in after a long day or start your morning there with the sunrise and your drink of choice. The bottom bedroom level contains one master king bedroom, a second king bedroom with a shared hall bathroom, and a bedroom with two single beds. The mattresses were recently updated to ensure a comfortable night's sleep regardless of the size of bed you choose.

Exploring the Area: Location is everything at this home with easy access to fun amenities:

Pool Option 1: The homeowners of this property have provided complimentary access to the Kinnakeet Shores Olympic-sized pool, kiddie pool, tennis, and pickleball courts. Access to these amenities is available during the peak rental season. Address: 41184 Kinnakeet Blvd, Avon, NC.
Pool option 2: Club Hatteras pool, located at 41156 NC Hwy 12 Avon.
Walk just ½ mile north to local restaurants and the Food Lion grocery store.
A 1.5-mile walk to the north along the beach will get you to the Avon Fishing Pier where you can enjoy a different view of the rolling waves and see fishermen reel in their dinner. Grab some coffee and a homemade breakfast or lunch from the food trucks located at the pier in the summer months.
Sound access is just 2 miles south on Rt.12 to Haulover Beach, also known as Canadian Hole. This is a perfect location to enjoy calm relaxing waters. Small children can play in this pool-like water (approximately 2' deep) while parents enjoy floating on rafts and the views of kite surfers whirling in the wind. Take your camera for spectacular sunset views!
If you have 4WD, take some air out of your tires and drive out on the beaches off Billy Mitchell Rd in Frisco. There you will find calm waves for smaller kids to enjoy. (You will need to buy an ORV permit before you head out to the beach. You can find those online or at a park service office.)
Under the home you will find covered parking for 4 cars and additional parking on the paved driveway for up to 4 more cars, an outdoor shower with hot & cold water, a foot cleaning sprayer, and a separate hose for cleaning off beach toys.
Rent or bring along bikes to enjoy the sidewalks along the entire Avon village.
Outside the home is a park-style charcoal BBQ grill for your use as well as a fish cleaning station.
A basketball hoop is located in the driveway for a family pick-up game (bring your own ball).

We had a wonderful stay at this OBX home! Everything was truly copacetic—the house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable vacation. The hosts were very responsive and easy to work with. The views were incredible—we enjoyed stunning sunrises over the ocean, breathtaking sunsets over the sound, and amazing starry skies at night with no city lights around. The beach was clean, felt private thanks to the small island setting, and was just a short walk from the house. We also loved the outdoor shower and foot-washing station after beach days. The location was perfect, within walking distance of the grocery store and close to everything we needed. Highly recommend this home and would definitely stay here again!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Rogue Wave and it was a perfect home for so many reasons, from proximity (steps) to the beach on a quiet and safe street to the very comfortable and elegantly-appointed home. Every detail was considered here and it shows. Far and away, the best feature is the top floor, which offers an incredible social space and kitchen with stunning ocean views... there's nothing like preparing a meal with family while looking at the ocean. There are very expansive decks on every level, and a nice shade area on the top deck for all day relaxation and listening to the waves. From the screened-in porch on the top level, you can experience the uniqueness of sunsets over the sound, which is was makes Rogue Wave so unique - its height allows you to see sunrise and sunset over water. The house is stocked with great movies, games, puzzles, a hot tub and even a vintage arcade which was lots of fun. As seasoned travelers, we would absolutely recommend this house and definitely plan to come again.

3rd time at Rogue Wave, We love it! Perfect location for beach access and close to all "creature comforts"...grocery, coffee, etc. Only issue was the dishwasher was on the fritz, so we washed dishes! Vacasa was on the ball on trying to get a repair done while were there. Rogue Wave rocks!

We loved this house! Avon is super family friendly, beaches are not crowded and house was so close to the beach! There are a lot of stairs, but otherwise the house was spacious and the views of the ocean were fantastic. Hot tub was great, kids played games in screened porch. Would love a puzzle/side table.

This home was one of our favorites that we've booked. Plenty of space and we loves the spacious decks. Of course the view was the highlight! Our only complaint is that the provided bath towels were still wet. Aside from that (and one windy day) our trip was great!!

The localisation of this house was just perfect : short walk to the sea, short drive to the grocery store and the pharmacy. The upper (main) floor is open and bright, and offers a stunning view of the sea. The house was generally very well kept and clean, and could easily welcome our party of eight people. It is a great place to sit back, relax and simply enjoy the moment. The house is also close to many sporting activities (surfing, kite surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, etc.) but it is better to make a reservation a couple of days in advance since these activities are very popular.

The view from the top deck is absolutely spectacular! Nothing but ocean and waves as far as the eye can see. There was ample room with plenty of comfy beds. It is a four story house with no elevator, so be ready to heft everything up a few steps. I would definitely rent this house again!
