Description Description
Exciting upgrade for the 2025 season: new carpet installed in all three bedrooms. Drift Inn to this classic and charming beach cottage with all the comforts of home, where you'll enjoy easy access to the beach just 350 feet away. Located five lots back from the Atlantic, Drift Inn offers a great location, only 800 yards from the fishing pier and near plenty of eateries and scenes. The screened porch and grill provide plenty of reasons to stay outside, as does the rooftop crow's nest with breezy ocean views. There are also two small decks at the back of the home for extra sunbathing opportunities. Inside, everyone in the family will appreciate the three TVs, three VCRs, two DVD players, stereo/CD player, and high-speed WiFi. The open living/dining/kitchen area provides ample space to spread out. At the end of the day, retire to one of the three comfortable bedrooms.

I really liked the home. The closed it front porch, the spacious bedrooms, the place was welcoming. My only 2 recommends, 1- can opener was useless, need a new one. 2- need a blow dryer for the house.

This is a smaller and obvious older home as it needs attention to the wood work on the outside including the walkway decking as there is quite a bit of rot. The interior of the home is nice with newer carpet on the bedrooms and tile that could use attention throughout the kitchen and living/dining areas. The walk to the beach is not bad at all and the week we were down it was very quiet. The mosquitoes are quite bad on the property as the parking area is not paved or concreted the grass area had not been mowed. With that being said the laundry area is also downstairs as well and makes for an uncomfortable time trying to clean your clothes. Make sure to have plenty of bug spray along.

Although we have stayed in some larger, more upscale homes, Drift Inn was perfect for us!! The kitchen is very well equipped and it looks as though the whole house has recently been updated. I love that there is only one flight of stairs and the short stroll to the beach was easy. It was perfect for my older dog. We will be back to Drift Inn!!

Quaint cottage in walking distance to the beach- we enjoyed our weekend stay very much! However, do not expect a glamorous, updated fancy, modern beach house! The house smelled strongly of mildew, but after a bit it became less noticeable. Top bunks are not safe to sleep on- this is coming from someone who owns 2 bunk beds that are slept in every night. Bunk in front room needs a railing (due to the narrow mattress) and the ladder to the top bunk in the back room was broken- you couldn’t even safely climb up if you wanted to. Couches were very uncomfortable. The house was clean, but the water coming out from the tap tasted very salty. Coffee as a result was very salty. Decor is dated, but in a very charming, “grandma’s cottage” sort of way. My husband and I were delighted with all the quaint little details and decorations. It felt like a home that has been lived in and enjoyed for many decades.

We are a family of 6, 2 3 adults and 3 children(18, 13, 9 and 2). The home was perfect for us with the bunk beds. The layout was a bit small, but we made it work. The porch door had a lock on both sides so it was nice with our toddler who loves to explore. There are definitely areas that could be updated and repaired, but for the price and location it was all we needed.

Home is conveniently located in Avon. Kitchen was nice with everything we needed for the week. It was also nice to have some starter supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) already in the bathrooms when we got to the house. The furniture is nice, but I would just note that you'll probably be uncomfortable if you prefer to sit on something more plush. Laundry setup is good. Biggest reason for a 4-star rating rather than 5-stars is that one of the bunk beds had a broken ladder which could have been dangerous had we not noticed before any of the kids tried to climb up. To Vacasa's credit, we contacted them about this and they would have sent someone out while we were there to address the issue had we needed them to (we didn't, as we only needed to use 3 of the 4 bunks). There was also a nail sticking out of one of the feet on the dining room table which one of us scraped our foot on. Lastly, I would say it oversells the crow's nest a little bit to boast about the ocean views. The crow's nest is a nice place to go up and look up at the stars at night and hear the ocean off in the distance, or maybe to read a book. But there isn't much ocean to see from there, just a greatly limited view of what you can see of it between houses. I'm not meaning to focus more on negatives than positives, though. Overall we really enjoyed the house, and assuming that the couple of small maintenance things are addressed we would consider staying in it again if we returned to Avon on a future vacation.

The house is close to the beach aaccess. It is older, so if you're looking for updates this isn't the place for you. It met our needs just fine.

This cottage is similar to the one we owned for many years so, although older, it was comfortable for us. Loved the screened porch.

We were locked out to begin with...after several calls to closed office, the OBR lady got us connected with local person who remotely got us in...have stayed there for several years, always helpful. Was afraid big guys would not be as personable...they were!!!
