The location was good. It was only a short walk to the dunes. Inside the home was outdated. Furniture, such as the only sofa in the living room and the main bed, was falling apart and had some nasty stains. The kitchen was in very rough condition. The fridge was very rusty inside and out. The cabinets wanted to fall apart. The floors were nasty, dead bugs all through out the house especially around the baseboards and corners. We had to kill a couple of live spiders during our stay inside the bathrooms and bedroom. The bathrooms had mold around the shower curtains and air vents. The shower heads need updated and were very nasty. Some other knitpicky stuff like missing blinds in some of the shades around the house and etc. Overall impression, the property had an easy check in and check out process. It has everything you need to stay at the beach for a couple days. The location to the beach is good, but the view is not. It is very outdated, not well kept up, and not very clean. Probably won’t be staying here again.

That said, your notes about the stained and falling‑apart sofa and main bed, rusty fridge, loose cabinets, dirty floors and baseboards, live spiders, dead bugs, mold around shower curtains and vents, old shower heads, and missing blinds are not acceptable. Actions we’ve scheduled: - Immediate deep clean of the carpets and upholstery. - Pest control visit within 48 hours to address spiders and insects. - Maintenance inspection within 72 hours to assess and document furniture, appliances, cabinets, flooring/baseboards, blinds, and plumbing fixtures. - Shower heads and shower curtains to be replaced and vents cleaned within 1 week. - Repairs/replacement of cabinets and blinds to follow after the inspection; timeline will be set based on findings. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention — we’ll follow up internally to make sure these items are addressed and hope you’ll consider staying with us again to see the improvements.

We’ve been staying at this home since 2009 and love it for its simplicity and proximity to the beach.

Another in a long line of great trips to the OBX. The house was clean and comfortable. Short walk to the beach. Also very close to shopping/dining in Avon. We particularly enjoyed the screened in deck. If I had to nitpick anything, the kitchen could use more utensils/dishes/cookware. Will absolutely look at this property for future trips.

The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Easy access to the beach, right over the dunes. Lots of room on the beach and no one bothers you. The house was quaint and enough room for my boyfriend and I. The screened in porch is great to hang out or just to leave your sandy items from the beach. We have a very nice time
