Large home with great views from the decks. The open area for the Dining, Living and Kitchen are great for get togethers for a large group. The beach is just steps away. The WiFi worked well. The hot tub seating is a bit awkward but it worked well and we did squeeze 6 adults in. Ample parking for 3 vehicles and 5 can fit with a some jockeying about. A few minor issues with regards to cleanliness (addressed directly) but overall a wonderful place for a large group.

This was a really good house. The location is fantastic it was plenty well supplied with everything we needed. I really don't have any complaints. We had a wonderful time as a family and the house was really comfortable for my husband and me, our 6 children, 2 of their spouses and 2 grandchildren, and our dog.

The view is beautiful and the 3 balconies make it easy to sit back looking out over the ocean and enjoying the breezes.

Really liked the house, right on the beach with easy access. An elevator!!! Lots of kitchen counters and a good refrigerator plus a second down in the lower level game room .

It’s such a wonderful home just a few minor things, but I know the staff were fixing right away. It’s so close to the ocean beautiful view easy access.

This house was very clean. There wasn't any smell of mold or dampness that sometimes happens. The layout of the house was great, you could see and hear the ocean perfectly. Everything was in good working order. The elevator was really handy for heavy luggage. Would certainly recommend this house. It is a bit pricey, but super nice.

Beautiful house well decorated. Great large kitchen. Lots of room with a living area on each level including tv in each area. Nice pool table. Very comfortable chairs in all areas. Hard not to enjoy this one.

Loved the convenience of the elevator. Loved the unobstructed ocean views. Loved the separate living areas, nice to have a refuge occasionally. Loved the kitchen Loved the location also. Best beach vacation yet!!!

The home is perfect for a family like ours. We have the 3rd floor bedroom. My younger daughter, husband and their son have the 2nd floor. Our older daughter and husband have the 1st floor. Every one of us enjoy this house and hate to leave.

We had a family of nine staying at Coastal Charm for the week. The middle floor was excellent for the kids in the family! The top floor master suite was amazing—perfect view of the shore. It was great for the older adults in our group that the elevator was quick and fully functional. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and we were able to visit the nearby FoodLion whenever more food supplies were needed. We enjoyed easy access to the beach, a lovely hot tub on the porch, and plenty of indoor spaces for playing games and doing puzzles. Thank you!

We had a family of nine staying at Coastal Charm for the week. The middle floor was excellent for the kids in the family! The top floor master suite was amazing—perfect view of the shore. It was great for the older adults in our group that the elevator was quick and fully functional. The property is well positioned on the beach with a public access next to us. Don’t be concerned about an increase in the number of people on the beach. It never happened. The house décor showed the owner’s pride in the property. Compared to other properties we have stayed in over the past 25 years, this rental is at the top of the list.

The cleaning crew did a great job - the place was spotless when we arrived. The house is beautifully decorated, the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils and small appliances. The beach couldn't be closer! We had a great week - went to Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, rented bikes and had a delicious dinner at Cafe Pamlico. One morning when going for a walk, there was a race, so we joined them and discovered a great route out to the sound. Would love to rent this house again!

The 3 stories gave my wife and me, my younger daughter her son and husband and our older daughter and husband each a separate floor for privacy. The kitchen was very well equipped, more than we needed. Who goes to the beach to cook? The elevator saved my 80 year old body from hauling suitcases, cooler, food, etc up 3 flights of stairs. The view is fabulous from any of the 3 decks. The pool table added some extra fun. We are already looking forward to our stay next year.

This home was immaculate! Whoever cleans this home does a fabulous job. Best home feature was the elevator. It made move in and move out quick and easy. The kitchen has lots of utensils, gadgets, glasses and dishes. However, it would be helpful to have a few more pots for cooking. There was no hand mixer there, however all other appliances were there and the ones we used all worked fine. The hot tub wasn’t working when we got there. After a phone call and a couple of days it was working again. The view from the deck was fabulous. We had a great vacation and totally enjoyed this home. We would definitely choose this home again!

Overall it was a positive experience. Great location. Comfortable beds and furniture. House does need some minor "fixes", the key pad door is difficult to turn and the knob is loose making it tricky to enter. The screen door on the top floor, off the kitchen was torn almost in half. The frying pans were very used and could use some updating. Only 1/2 of the toaster worked. We were unfortunately only provided with a set of 2 bath towels between 6 people. Multiple messages were left for house keeping across 4 days. I sent a message through the VBRO account, and the manager did resolve this that day. I learned the housekeeping had no staff due to a death in the family. I would suggest that the answering machine be updated and that an alternate option be offered otherwise the customer just feels they are being ignored.

Everyone loved the house and location, just off the beach. We all had a great time. The ABC stores were wiped out, bring your own booze.

Everyone had a great time staying in Salvo Sunset. The best vacation rental we`ve ever stayed in. Salvo Sunset is a beautiful house. The furnishings and decorations were great and the couches and beds were extremely comfortable. Everything you could possibly need was available in the kitchen. This house is as close to the beach as you can get. Just a few step out the back and you’re on the beach. The 2nd floor pool is a feature that I did not see at any other house along the beachfront. It was awesome. The home itself is very well equipped and a beautiful home. It had everything you could want with the exception of a dedicated game or movie room. However, the living room tv is large with multiple movies available. But, we don’t ever use those features choosing to spend our time on the beach and in the pool and hot tub. Oh, and the elevator was a nice bonus. Groceries and luggage straight to the different floors. We hope to reserve the house again next year. The house was in the perfect location right on the beach. It had beautiful views from all of the decks and was big enough for the whole family to spread out in. I would recommend staying at Coastal Charm!

Sea Monkey was the nicest home I`ve rented on Hatteras Island from about 8 houses over the past few years. The decor is thoughtful and high quality without being `worn` in the slightest. The easy walk to the beach and panoramic views from the decks is very unique to this property and provided a constant feeling of awe. Outerbeaches was by far the most pleasant property management group I`ve worked with on Hatteras Island and I`ve rented from all of the largest 3 or 4 companies. The house is bright and airy, comfortably fit our large family. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of service for a large crowd and also has a bunch of fun gadgets like waffle makers, kitchen aid etc. The main living area is large and the open floor plan is great for having a big crowd.
