Sea Dream is a water lover's paradise! Situated on a private lagoon that leads directly to the sound, offering kayakers, windsurfers, paddle boarders, and fishermen an excellent home base location! The first living level features a conveniently located laundry area and access to the sound-facing deck with direct access to the backyard. At the top of the stairs on the second level, you will find a bright, airy great room with high ceilings, comfy furnishings, and superb views of the lagoon and sound. The well-equipped kitchen is conveniently located close to the dining area. The screened porch and sundeck are ideal places to end your day as you relax and watch the sunset. Outside amenities include an outdoor shower, charcoal grill, a carport, a grassy yard, and a walkway to a small boat dock newly rebuilt for the 2023 season. One of the bedrooms has a pyramid bunk bed, perfect for the kids. The primary bedroom has a full private bathroom with a jetted tub, a TV, and deck access! Your next vacation can be just as you imagined with a stay in Sea Dream!

The house was pretty nice in general, definitely needs a little TLC. TV in the living room is a flat screen, but pretty ancient. The refrigerator has a condensation/leak inside and we had to put a bowl in there to catch the water and empty every other day. The location is great. We did find that when the sun comes up...it lights up the master bedroom quite brightly..so you have no choice but wake up with the sunrise. We really liked the dock and used it a lot for fishing and launching our kayaks. Did have some guests in the way of cockroaches, but only encountered 4 so..I guess not terrible?

Good house with a good price. I don't go to obx to stay in big fancy homes. This house had everything I wanted and a good price. I would stay again any year here

The house was very tidy. Everything was in working order. The view from all the decks over the basin was so nice. My son had his kayak out days and evenings. Vacasa was easy to rent from as always.

My family and I had a great time. We enjoyed the homey atmosphere, nice neighborhood with friendly people in the area. Had a great time walking to the beaches and DQ. I would so recommend this to any family that is looking for great family time and doesn't require all the glitz and glamor. I will return

The house was a lad older but was still amazing. It sits off the lagoon in Avon and is right of highway 12. The kids loved the Dairy Queen being a short walk from the house, we went almost every night. The storage closet had some beach chairs and stuff to use that helped with trips out to the ocean. We rented some kayaks for the week and had a blast paddling around the lagoon and out onto the sound for sunsets. Highly recommend this house for smaller families!

This house had lots of space, great decks and a nice dock for fishing and kayaking/paddle boarding! It is a nice private peaceful area to take a break away from everyday life. Hope to come back in the future.

Contrary to various poor reviews the home was as advertised and the previously defunct dock had been replaced with a new one. All in all we really enjoyed our stay. The house could definitely do with a bit of TLC but other than a missing shower control handle (had to find and use pliers!) there was nothing big and the house was well equipped and comfortable. DISLIKED: the enormous, automated and impersonal Vacasa organization. When I called from the front door of the house, it took me a while to realize that I was actually talking to a (very polite) lady at a call center in El Salvador that kept repeating scripted texts and had zero power and control to affect my situation. Once I figured out how to navigate this bureaucracy things went a lot better. LIKED: house was super clean and the local staff that I was able to engage with really helped me by letting us check in early. That was super! Also liked the layout and location of the house. Would visit again!

This was a great location for a family vacation. We like to use the 4x4 beaches so we have to drive anyway. This house was a great spot to go crabbing. We were even able to have a whole feast of crab the 3rd day. So fun. Thanks for everything. We will be back!

Location was central to shops, restaurants and the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was in good condition. Liked the dock on the water. Located in a nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Could see the sound from the house. Liked being able to see wildlife. Liked that linens and towels were provided.
