Great getaway with hubby and our dog in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Only complaint is that the bathroom shower head was extremely low/not adjustable and I’m only 5’5” so that was a hassle. There is an issue with the TV but maintenance came out very quickly to help resolve.

The rooms are smaller than they look in the photos. The master bedroom has a water closet and sink but no shower. There is only one bath with a shower and it is small. We were prompted to use the dishwasher but there was no dishwasher. The APP in my opinion is useless and phone numbers that are local and not 800s are difficult to find. The people at the local office were very helpful but they are not 24/7.

House was small but very cute and served our family (3 adults). It does not have a dishwasher and the kitchen area is small. The kitchen did have a great selection of utensils, cookware and dishes. Towels and bedding was included. The shower was on their small side but pressure was great. My husband used the outside shower all week and he loved the size of there. He is a bigger man so that was important. He was afraid a dining room chair was going to break on him. Very comfortable beds and good size bedrooms. The family rom and sunroom had plenty of space and comfortable. House was in a great area. Close to stores just seconds off the highway but you don’t hear any noise from traffic. Even when sitting on deck.Communication with owner and the rental company was easy. Previous place we stayed sent constant texts all week which became annoying. With this stay, we were contacted when we first arrived and took care of one detail and told us to contact them with any issues and we weren’t inundated all week. We heard from them about mid week to see how we were doing and then when checking out. Home needs some updating but overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely stay again!

House was easy to get to and in a quiet area close to grocery store. Everything needed was included…sheets, towels, kitchen appliances and cookware. I did miss not having a dishwasher but they did supply us with dish detergent. The home was very cute and perfect for my family. It could use a little updating but overall, it was great. I’d recommend for smaller parties.

The house was comfortable. Plenty of space to spread out. The house was as advertised, 3rd lot from beach. Supermarket, shops and restaurants close by. Make sure to bring your beach accessories.

The beach was just a few steps away. Avon is a great location with restaurants, supermarket and shops close by. The house was comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out. Kitchen seemed well stocked, though i didn't cook on my vacation. Make sure to bring your own beach accessories. I'd definitely come back!

We love this house its not to small or too big, its perfect, the bedroom with half a bath in it was a great size the bed was comfy, great location. This makes our 2nd year in a row staying at diamond shoals. We love this place!! Its clean, easy access.

Good basic place to stay. Close access to the beach and anything you might need. Renters need to bring all necessities, including coffee filters, salt/pepper, and cleaning materials for counters and tables as they are not available in the house.

Diamond Shoals is such a cozy and beachy beach house! We love the back den and deck and had a blast. Thank you for a great trip at an awesome house!!

This home was everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The sunroom was our favorite spot to hang our in the evening after spending the day on the beach. The hone was equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen.

The house was relatively clean, a little outdated but overall very cozy. Perfect for my family of 3 . The extra hour drive to Avon was well worth the location of the house and family like feel. The beach access was amazing, from the driveway to the water was less than a five minute walk! Everything we needed or wanted to do was less than 2 miles away. We will definitely stay here again!

We were so delighted to find this special place in Avon. The property has a nice layout and great access to the beach. The interior has the comfortable feel of many happy times spent here by the owners. I loved sitting out on the porch and listening to the waves. The beach was lovely, but please note that there are plenty of four wheel dive vehicles on this section. We will definitely want to come back to this quiet neighborhood!

The house is very close to the beach an close to the grocery store and centrally located on the island with easy access all over Hatteras. We loved being able to bring our dog and the rental company even had treats and doggy potty bags for her leash. We were able to get into our room 3 hours early and it was beautifully cleaned. During our stay we became trapped on the island due to a Nor’easter and they made it easy for us to extend our stay until we were able to leave. The only few things I wished were that there was a dishwasher and a view but that is just me getting picky. This was a charming home and we are so grateful for the details left by the owners to make the place feel so special and work well for our family. We are also grateful to the rental company for making the stay a great one.

Thanksgiving of 2006 I was working as a NeuroICU nurse. A young man (about 19) had been returning from college and was involved in a crash. He was not expected to survive. His father spent Thanksgiving night reading to him because this was their tradition. When I asked about what he was doing, the father replied “you don’t know how much time you have with loved ones, so always try to make it special.” I rented Luna Tuna for my family as a Christmas gift because of that statement. 12 years later we still remember that family and all of the love and laughs we have had. We are both saddened and inspired by that family and Outer Beaches has been a part of making this legacy happen. Contactless check in. Good selection of kitchen items. Cable on all TV`s. Internet speeds 8 down/1 up. Shuffleboard was a lot of fun. Very clean. We had considerably less than occupancy so we could easily distance from others. This unit was perfect for that. Especially with the large living/dining area. My parents owned the beach house when it was Joie de Vivre. My kids are grown and wanted to go back and stay at the beach house that they have so many fond memories. The Summer Shack was amazing! So much room & the amenities made it difficult to choose between going to the beach & staying at the house.
