This attractive home is right across from the Avon Pier and just down the street from the community pool - exactly what you've been hoping to find for a long and rejuvenating getaway to Avon! The living room is tastefully dressed in lots of comfortable furniture and coastal decor, with beautiful floors, high ceilings, and lots of natural light throughout. Watch a good movie or show on the wall-mounted TV or head out to the private balcony for a taste of the salty sea air while you savor a delicious beverage. The kids will love eating their afternoon snacks on the full kitchen's four breakfast bar stools while you take advantage of the ample counter space and appliances to prepare a mouthwatering meal for everyone to enjoy at the dining room table with seating for six. Spend the day on the beach then come back to spritz away the sand via the outdoor shower. The private washer and dryer will make it easy to pack light and the free WiFi will keep everyone connected and happy during your stay. Download a good playlist to your device for a trip to the shared pool or for a long walk to explore the area. The fish-cleaning station will help you make short work of today's fresh catch. Canadian Hole is less than 10 minutes away and is a great place for kiteboarding and windsurfing.

Excellent location for the NCBBA Fishing tournament. Short distance to all the ORV ramps and right across from the Avon Pier. We've been coming to OBX multiple times a year for many years and this house is in perfect condition. I'd highly recommend it for a group of 6.

Great location and perfect for little families. Loved the tv’s in the rooms. The screened in porch was a nice morning coffee spot. A ceiling fan on the porch would be the only thing in would add to the home. The downstairs shower and hoses were a nice way to clean up after a day at the beach.

House was clean and comfortable decor was pretty. Beds were super comfortable we enjoyed this house very much best part is the local neighbor my aunt it was so nice to rent next door to her and enjoy her property… we loved the house

This is an absolute gem of a house that we ran into purely by accident while trying to find where to stay for a short extended weekend break. It was available exactly for the days we needed for, so we jumped in and never regretted it! The house was very clean and had everything one may need for any stay, be it a quick fishing trip or a week-long family vacation! We will definitely try to book it next time we are in Avon!

A great hidden gem with easy access to everything. The house was clean and in excellent condition. Parking was easy and we all had room. I highly recommended it and would stay here again.

Rental was immaculate and very comfortable. Spent most of the time on the porch. Close to most shops and beach. Nicely decorated.

The house was perfect for our family of 5! Super clean. Recent construction. Loved the screen porch! Avon beach just the other side of the road! A bath tub would be awsome! ;) Thank you for the great memories! It was perfect!!! :)

My family enjoyed our stay here. It’s in a great location. The screened in deck and outdoor shower were lovely. There was more than enough room for our family of three.

This house was perfect. Beautifully remodeled and the perfect size for our family of 5. The beach is not too far, we were able to load a beach cart and walk to the beach and back from the house 5 out of the 7 days we were there. We had perfect weather in the second week of June 24’. Our kids are older though, 16,15,10… definitely would be a little tougher if you had to walk with younger kids. We beached to the right of the pier and it was never too crowded and always relaxing and peaceful. One little thing I loved was the slatted walls underneath the house in the carport, they made it really easy to hang your wet towels and suits. The linens and towels provided were great. The kitchen was stocked well with supplies, although I wish there was access to an outside grill. The street was peaceful and is a dead end so there was never a time we didn’t feel safe and there was literally no traffic except your 5 or so neighbors. Such a great place to stay in Avon. We loved hatteras island, the sunrises and sunsets were magnificent but you didn’t have good view of them from the house, which is nothing a quick walk to beach or 5 minute drive to the Canadian hole or along the Pamlico Sound couldn’t fix. Thanks to the owners of Prickly Pear and Vacasa for a great family vacation!

This property is located in a perfect spot for beach lovers. There are not the crowds and congestion found in other areas of OBX. There are plenty of places to get necessities and several good restaurants within walking distance. We especially liked to local seafood store.

We loved staying at prickly pear! Great amount of space with three bedrooms plenty of beds. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and there were tons of games to keep our littles occupied. Definitely would stay here again - location was perfect just a couple blocks to the beach/Avon pier.

Beautiful new, modern beach house, we loved our stay here. Quick walk to the beach. We had some rainy days, so we enjoyed the Roku TV. This house is great, the only negative we found is there’s no ice maker in the freezer and only tiny, cracked ice trays, so we bought bagged ice. A few suggestions I have for improvement would be a ceiling fan on the screened-in porch along with some string lights or dimmers on the overhead lights out there, and maybe some dimmers on the kitchen lights. The downstairs area under the house was great for cleaning up beach equipment, plus there’s plenty of room to hang out there if you had chairs and maybe a corn hole game! Not sure when we’ll make it back to Avon, but we’d definitely stay here again.

This house is relatively new. It was exceptionally clean and sparse with no sign of prior inhabitants. The decor is beach like and comfortable. I immediately felt at home. The furniture is just the right amount, not overly crowded like many rentals. You will need to bring everything, but towels and bedding. There were no left over spices or condiments in the home, as I said, it was like walking into a new uninhabited home. Which I liked and prefer.

Prickly Pear was sparkling clean and in a great location for walking to the beach a few blocks away. The house was well stocked, well laid out, and very comfortable. Would definitely rent again.

My husband, 20 month old, and two friends stayed here in August. It was clean upon our arrival. Located close enough to walk to some shops, the pier, and restaurants. The shared pool was nice and was very close by as well. We will be rebooking in the future.

This house was gorgeous, spacious, and comfortable inside and out. The outdoor shower was so nice to have after coming back from the beach and the washer and dryer made it so that I didn’t have to take back tons of dirty laundry. The kitchen was clean and organized and every room was beautifully decorated with comfortable beds. This house made our vacation the most fabulous one yet.

Wonderful vacation in OBX! Home was beautiful and super clean upon arrival. Bonus was the screened in porch. Walking distance to Avon pier, beach, and restaurants.

The location was very clean and had all that we needed. We had a couple of safety concerns. There should be a light at the top of the stairs for the rear kitchen entrance. The rear kitchen door has a door jam that is not always easy to navigate and someone could easily trip and fall on the steep stairs. Also, we recommend a handrail that goes the full length of the staircase on the rear entrance. We recommend a better quality of linens and towels. The screen door on the porch needs a better latch. During a storm, it kept banging and was not easy to close.
