Description

Find ever-present fun and sun at Daily Reflection, a soundfront retreat situated at the end of a canal, where you'll have amazing views of the sun setting over the glassy Pamlico Sound. Located in Avon, this three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom cottage comes packed with amenities and value, making it the perfect getaway for your small family or group. There's a fenced yard for your dogs, a fish-cleaning table, an outdoor shower, charcoal grill and a shallow private dock. Take advantage of the direct launching access for windsurfing and kayaking adventures. Daily also boasts two furnished sundecks - one on the bedroom level and a larger one on the top floor that overlooks the dock and the canal. The first bedroom has two single beds and a TV, while the second has a queen bed and a TV of its own. A full bathroom sits across the hall. The third bedroom is a primary bedroom with a queen bed, a TV, and a full bathroom. Also on this floor is an intimate sunroom with a card table, a TV, a DVD player, a daybed, and the same gorgeous views straight down the canal into the Pamlico Sound. Moving upstairs, the kitchen, dining room, and family room await. A half-bath is also located on this level. Sliding glass doors to the sundeck and tall windows allow natural sunlight to illuminate this area. Whether you're preparing your next meal or kicking back watching TV, the amazing view never fades from this vantage point.

Please Note: As a barrier island, Hatteras is constantly changing. Beach conditions, dunes, and access points may vary due to erosion, restoration projects, weather, and other environmental factors.

House was very clean. Had some minor issues but were handled very quickly by Hattetas Realty. Our disappointed was our dogs like to dock five and there was no way to get them out of the water. Other wise a great place to stay for us.

Great house on a back alcove on the sound. Beautiful sunsets and lots of fun kayaking the local canals. The fenced in yard was terrific!

The views were absolutely beautiful. The dock was a huge plus to have. The location was great. However, some upgrades do need to be made to the inside of the house.

Nothing fancy but great location and sound view from upper deck. Lots of stairs. It was very clean house. Beds took a couple of days to get used to. We would stay again.

Fantastic location with amazing sunsets on the sound. Sun does get intense late afternoon so curtains in the great room would be a big help. Lots of kitchen items, beds comfortable, furniture is a bit old but ok. Dishwasher needs fixing or replaced. So all in all a fine house for us which could use a few upgrades. We will most likely rent it again.

Would definitely stay here again. Nice stand up paddleboarding location and dock, well thought out pet area, nice sheltered garage type area under house, nice deck furniture, comfortable beds, relatively peaceful, convenient boat launch on adjacent property ($5). Just be aware that bedroom lights are not on the switch (cell phone or other flashlight), there is an apartment building next door with some gravel traffic and noise, and driveway is single lane. An outdoor luggage/grocery lift would be a great addition for us older folks.

We really enjoyed our stay at Daily Reflection. Not only is there a great view from up top, but there is also a good one from the dock, and the beach itself isn't too far away.

Great house! Perfect house on the sound! Short walk to the beach. We saw different wildlife daily, from stingray, crabs, fish. We enjoyed the morning and evening on the deck. Absolutely loved the fenced in area for our dog! No cactus in the yard. We fished off of the dock, rented kayaks. It was a perfect vacation! The house was clean, plenty of start up supplies, toilet paper, towels. A lot of thought went into the double gates for the dog, the fences in area, the night lights for the stairs going to the laundry area. The placement of the outdoor shower with its privacy and quick entry into the home, available hoses to rinse your feet. Great washer and dryer. Everything worked well for us. I would rent this house again!

We loved the view from the deck off the kitchen. We would have liked to have more comfortable seating in the living/dining room but it was not a deal breaker. Kitchen had a lot of supplies but could use some new pots and pans. Carpet on steps was a little yucky, could benefit from a deep scrub. Beds were comfortable but some new or extra pillows would be nice. Overall we loved the house.

I am a frequent visitor to the Outer Banks. Usually 4-6 weeks per year. One thing that really stood out about this house to me was that they provided things like Shampoo, Plenty of Toilet Paper (lots of house put a Single Roll…, laundry detergent). With exception of Food - a trip to the grocery store was not necessary. That is rarely the case for a Rental house

We loved the views home is a beach house so in previous reviews we saw people were not happy about the furniture we had no issues with the furnishings if I owned a home like this I also would not put top of the line furnishings with so many people in and out. Can’t beat the views loved the top deck. The dock was great for fishing. Only complaint and we reported it was the dishwasher had a funny smell during the drying cycle pls check on this it’s a burning smell and my firefighter husband is worried it’s a fire hazard. All and all We enjoyed the house..

Great location. Beautiful views. Kitchen well equipped. The only real downside, and this is a fairly big issue, is that ALL furnishings are due for an upgrade. Kitchen table not tall enough for the chairs provided and a little shaky. A complete mismatch of furnishings throughout the house. One of the bedframes so shaky, we thought it might collapse. With the income this house is bringing in, there is no reason for the lack of quality furnishings. Almost gave it three stars because of this.

This is our 2nd stay at this home and while it certainly could use a bit of maintenance, the views from the top floor and deck and dock make it worth it! My 4 year old and husband did pretty well fishing right off the dock and sunsets with cocktails and coffee in am on the deck are great.

We absolutely loved the location! Being sound front and able to fish and kayak out back was the best! The house is set up nice, but the furniture is literally falling apart in the living room/kitchen area. We had to sit w caution afraid we were going to break something as it's all on its last leg. The drains in both showers are so clogged that you have to wade in about 6" of water during a shower. We gave it 4 stars because of ease of rental and location. Just update a few things for safety and hygiene and it would be an amazing house!

Location location location

We had a great time staying here. Family time is the best time. Loved the view from the upper deck. We would hang out there every morning and evening. The views were amazing! Loved the little gated doggy park. Wish we could have had access to the kayaks
