This home gets two Fins Up! Located on a quiet cul-de-sac and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and ice cream parlors, this two-level, canal-front home offers a world of fun right outside your door. The spacious, furnished deck is the perfect respite after a day on the water, offering built-in seating to help you relax and unwind. Or, you can take in the lovely cove, sound, and sunset views from the second-floor living room, also known affectionately as the sunset lounge. When it's time to retire for the evening, choose among four inviting bedrooms, including a queen primary bedroom. Additional amenities include six TVs, six DVD players (two are Blu-rays), and high-speed WiFi for your laptop. With plenty to do both on and off the water, you'll want to return to Fins Up year after year. Two Kayaks available for guest use.

There was plenty of room for our group of 7. The dock was broken and not fixed during our stay so the water sports from the backyard wasn’t an option. This was disappointing but otherwise we had a great stay and the area was quiet and the views were awesome.

The home was a good value for the time we were there! Well stocked kitchen, clean on arrival, super fast wifi for working, and so neat being on the canal. We even got to watch a family of otters play! I would come back. The bed in the master was comfortable.

Great location. House is showing it's age and needs a few improvements and a thorough cleaning but it was fine for a week of fishing at the OBX.

Extremely easy check in and check out! The home had everything we needed including towels , life jackets , kayaks and a surfboard! Great house and great vacation!

The dock out back was very convenient. We caught some various fish and crabs there, launched kayaks pretty easily. Theres some walkable shops and coffee shops / ice cream. Also walkable public beach access across the street on N. Beachcomber dr, about 0.3 mile walk to the walkway. The cleanliness and house overall met expectations.

We loved the fact that it was very easy to kayak from the house. And then the ocean/beach was only a 2 block walk if we wanted some of that action.

We loved our stay at Fins Up! The outdoor area is really the star of the show here with two empty wooded lots on either side, perfect for our dog to get some outdoor time without disturbing the neighbors. Loved that the kayaks (and life jackets!) were provided with the rental, we used them daily! The dock was quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed many mornings and evenings sitting out there while the kids fished. The home was comfortable, clean, and had lots of little details that made it clear that the owners care about their guests! The kitchen was fully stocked - they had everything you could possibly need (and then some!). We hope to rebook and be back next year!

Location is great. Canal view is awesome. I like the underhouse parking. Dining room table is a bit dated as is the living room furniture. All in all a nice place at a fair price.

Fins Up is a well appointed and cared for house. Spent many evenings at the very large dining table enjoying each other’s company. Great access to the water and the sound. This house is situated in the best part of Avon if you enjoy paddle boarding and kayaking. The deck is great.

Fins Up is a charming cottage that sits right on the canal front. It was very clean, and well-maintained. The windows are large, providing beautiful, panoramic views. The kitchen was stocked with everything one might possibly need...and the cooking implements were of high quality. But the real star of the property is the view. It was cloudy and windy for the first four days of our visit, but when the sun was finally out, we were treated to the most beautiful sunsets, both from the deck, and in the aptly-named "Sunset Lounge" room on the second floor. We highly recommend FIns Up.

The house was very well laid out and having no carpet was nice. Being right on the canal allowed for my son to put his kayak in rather easily.
