Dishwasher and stove worked incredibly well. Customer service was great when the house was missing a high chair (as listed), and they rented one for us.

We love the layout of this home and close proximity to the beach. It’s so convenient walking out the side door directly onto the dune boardwalk/path. Very comfortable for 4 adults and 2 kids. The kids love the breakfast nook and loft for hanging out. King bed is very comfortable. The queen bed is not so comfortable. Appliances are updated overall - especially appreciate a decent washer/dryer with our longer stay! Overall the property was clean and cozy.

This house is on the ocean side, the beach is spacious enough to spread out from other beach goers. The hot tub was HUGE. Loved the outdoor shower, foot wash and multi level deck! This house is great! Right on the beach and close to shops/food. The rooms look as shown in photos and everything was in great condition. The sitting area on the top of the house is a nice addition. Overall, a great house. I highly recommend.

This house is great. Right on the beach in a quiet neighborhood; it’s exactly what I and my partner were looking for. The listing is very accurate regarding the rooms and living areas. Also, there are plenty of stores within minutes of the house. I highly recommend staying here.

This was the perfect little place for us to stay in the OBX. Everything was clean and you could see the beach from the top deck. Everything worked in the kitchen ( we went to food lion and cooked almost every night ) Everything in the description was correct. The hot tub is out of this world! I will be staying here again!

Wow we loved the house! What a great location and layout. We also loved the vast amount of deck space and hot tub. Beautiful view of the stars. There were plenty of towels and dishwasher soap and washing machine tabs. Wonderful location and we liked the modern looking living room, loft and that there were books and beach gear provided. The home does need some updating and maintenance, but overall was a pleasant stay. The bathrooms are on the small side but the bedrooms and closet are a good size. Overall it felt clean and pleasant. Some minor negatives - there were toothpaste splatters all over the bathroom wall, the blowdrier was stored touching the toilet plunger. The modem and router in the master bedroom has bright blinking lights - If you like to sleep in the dark like we do, bring a sleeping mask.

This home was comfortable, clean and spacious (4 adults, 2 kids at the house). It was a short, easy walk over the dune to the beautiful Avon beach. If your not familiar with the area you should know it’s a pretty big dune (my kids call it “dune mountain”). But my kids both 8 and under walk it just fine with all their stuff! We liked having 2 separate eating spaces - the kids enjoyed the nook in the kitchen! Kitchen appliances were up to date for the most part. Bedrooms were clean and spacious with comfortable beds. The bathrooms were on the smaller side but fine. We brought a small fan for the kids bunk bed room which was helpful to keep cool airflow. Lots of storage and space for beach stuff. We loved the house and look forward to our next visit!

The house is just a short, beautiful, walk across the dunes to the beach. The house is cute inside and very clean. And the hot tub is perfect for when you are done with the beach for the day! My family of 8 (5 adults and 3 kids) was well accommodated here. I highly recommend.

Convenient to beach, shops and restaurants. Hot tub was enjoyable. Loft area does stay pretty hot so fan would be needed to be comfortable. Nice outdoor area as well.

This house was perfect and by far one of the best beach houses I have stayed at. Our family of 5 fit with room to spare. The hot tub wad larger than expected. We loved that it was nestles away from neighbors view but still offered a view of the ocean. Can't wait to come back.

Overall, we had a great stay at pipers nest. The location was quiet and the proximity to the beach was amazing. The only thing I wish we would have had access to was some beach equipment. No chairs or beach towels were available. The house was clean, comfortable and the perfect size for a family of 5. They provide you with enough toiletries to get through the week which was nice. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great week at Piper’s Nest. We stayed here with a family of 5 and it was the perfect size. Our two teenage girls loved the loft area! The location was perfect. It was quiet and there were plenty of restaurants and shops close by. The beach was just over the dunes which was amazing. The only thing I wish we had access to was some beach equipment. There were no beach chairs or beach towels available. The house was clean, comfortable and well maintained. We had one minor issue with the tub faucet not turning off fully and the Vacasa team was very quick and responsive and had someone there to fix it almost immediately. We were overall very happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again!

What a wonderful home away from home! It was cute, stylish, the perfect size for the 8 of us and the hot tub was amazing! Not to mention we were just a few steps away from the beach. Highly recommend this property! I'd def go back.

My recent stay at Pipers Nest beach house in Avon Beach, NC, was a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nestled in a quiet and secluded location, this charming coastal abode offered a serene retreat during the off-season. As advertised, the proximity to the beach was unbeatable - just a few steps away, making it an ideal choice for those seeking the soothing sounds of the ocean and the soft touch of sand beneath their feet. The privacy of the off-season added an extra layer of tranquility, turning the beach into a private haven. The house itself, while generally meeting expectations, did leave a bit to be desired in terms of upkeep. The appliances showed signs of rust, which, while not affecting functionality, gave a slightly worn appearance. The need for a touch-up in this regard was apparent, and it would enhance the overall aesthetic of the property. One minor inconvenience was the state of the coffee pot. Coffee enthusiasts, beware - you might want to bring your own pot. The provided one seemed a bit worse for wear and could use an upgrade. While this was a small hiccup, it's worth noting for those who rely on a good cup of joe to kickstart their mornings. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was positive, and the charm of the location far outweighed any imperfections. If you're looking for a quiet getaway with easy beach access, this Avon Beach house is worth considering, especially during the off-season when you can fully appreciate the peaceful surroundings. Just be prepared to overlook a few signs of wear and tear in exchange for the tranquility of the coastal escape.

We stayed at Piper's Nest during Thanksgiving and everyone thought the house was very clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots/pans for cooking meals. The top deck was a great spot to read and the kids liked the covered porch for board games, and of course the hot tub. The close beach access was a plus. We would definitely stay here again.

My family of 4 (two adults and two children, ages 2 and 5) stayed at Piper's Nest for a three-day weekend in Nov. The check-in process was easy and seamless, with all info provided prior to arrival. The cleanliness of the house was somewhat lacking (very sandy kitchen floor-had to sweep upon arrival, several dead bugs in the kitchen, bathrooms, and hallways). Plenty of towels provided for bathrooms, more than we needed. Beds were adequately comfortable for the three nights we stayed. The kitchen had enough supplies to make several meals while we stayed. We did not use the loft for our stay, but would have been great if an additional bedroom was needed. The house indeed oceanfront, but due to the size of the dunes and their restoration, you cannot see, nor hear, the ocean from the house, which was not an issue for us during our stay. There was a hot tub provided, probably the largest hot tub we've ever seen; however, the water level was less than half full and there were several floating bugs, which deterred us from using it. Overall, the house was great for what we needed, just an improvement in the cleanliness would be appreciated.

Our family loved our OBX vacation house here in Avon. The beach was so close, our guys surfed at the break right in front of the house. Our kids played in the sea, and we made memories of a lifetime. Vacasa was very supportive during our stay and communicated with us promptly.
