We loved the location and the path to the dock could be cleared up more. The kayaks almost blew away from the winds the 1st 2 days. The house was clean and great view. Hot tub was dirty. Hopefully they are cleaning it. Overall I'd stay again. Great things to see that direction plus food as well.

The views were great, especially from the private dock at sunset. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and we never got around to using the kayaks but they were in great shape. Beds were all comfy and so was the enormous couch in the living room. The kitchen was well stocked, the only thing missing was a selection of basic spices (salt, pepper, etc). It’s not a big deal, we are just used to having some of those things available, so didn’t bring our own and had to buy some. The ice maker did not work, but there were ice trays in the freezer. Overall is was a very comfortable clean cottage and we loved our stay!

No convenience is overlooked in this great house with an incredible view of Pamlico Sound & Askins Creek. Our family of 4 adults & 1 child had plenty of room to spread out. We especially enjoyed the dock, hot tub, decks and location! The kitchen is well equipped and the beds slept great. What more could you ask for? ☀️

Spacious home with large best equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, balcony with beautiful views, and fantastic hot tub perfect for relaxing after active exciting day. Kayaks available too for easy kayaking from channel to bay for long kayaks or kiting or just relaxing on the beach.

We loved this home and would definitely go back! The hot tub was immaculate and so was the house! Comfy beds, and sofas. The only improvement would be to make sure the store staples are in the cupboard such as salt and pepper. Previous rentals we have had also had milk and bread on arrival. It’s those touches that make a difference when you have driven all day. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We loved spending the week as a family of 5 paddling in the sound and then walking over to the beach. We brought bikes and rode to Duck Donuts a few times as well!

The kids used the private dock daily to catch bait fish from the creek, then used them for surf fishing. The hot tub, kayaks and tiki toss were fun additions that we used frequently. The living room furniture was very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the outdoor shower and fish cleaning table were very convenient. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

Hot tub was excellent! Didn't get to use the kayaks due to weather, but were a nice option. The large couch was a particularly appreciated feature - lots of comfortable seating. Perhaps worth noting that the cushions had been cleaned prior to arrival and were still drying (they were completely dry about 24 hours after the house was ready for check in). The lowest level of the house (only laundry machines down there) does smell strongly of dog, but there is not even the slightest hint of this anywhere else in the house. Would not hesitate to book again! : )

Spent 3 nights and had a great time. Location was perfect. In a neighborhood away from the highway, but super close to ORV ramp and gas station to air up tires. Grocery store 5 min away. Fully stocked kitchen, they thought of everything. Very clean and easy check in. Dock in the back was perfect for a little fishing. Hubby caught a red drum off it on our first day. Hot tub sunsets were fantastic. We will visit again.

Location. Southern most edge of Avon. Still close to the point to fish. But still close to food lion and other restaurants. Nice gas station close by to air back up at. Great stay!

Easy access to a wide variety of amenities including the beach, a private dock on Askins Creek, restaurants, sites of interest, fishing pier, and gorgeous sunsets on Pamlico Sound.

Everything was great. Property was clean although it didn't come with things like condiments or extra trash bags. The house was beautiful though. Our family enjoyed the hot tub and kayaks. One thing to note is that if you click on the map to get directions on the Vrbo app, it takes you to the wrong address. However if you type it in yourself to Google maps, it is easy to find.

Loved the location on the sound and quick walk to beach! The kitchen was so well stocked with nice pans to cook on. Couch was so comfy to chill on too! Just a very comfortable home! My only complaint was the first floor bed was not comfortable. But still a great house!
