Reel Living #3-AV is a beautiful, waterfront cottage located in historic Avon Village. A dock in the back provides easy access to the shallow waters, as well as direct sound access for windsurfing, kiteboarding, kayaking, boating, SUP, crabbing, and fishing. Rinse off afterwards in the outdoor shower. The traditional Hatteras wraparound porch invites you to catch fresh breezes and enjoy the peaceful scenery. The back porch is definitely the place to be for sensational sunsets. The front door opens to a well-equipped, full kitchen with breakfast island seating and a large dining table. In the adjacent living area, you'll find soundfront seating, hardwood floors, an entertainment center with a large flatscreen TV, deck access, and fabulous water views. You'll also find a soothing hot tub with the best seat in the house for sunsets and stargazing. Bedroom one is off the kitchen, with a washer/dryer nook. Bedroom two offers a stunning, panoramic soundfront view. It has beautiful pine tongue-and-groove walls and is just steps from a full hall bath with a combination tub/shower; an adjacent door allows this bath to become part of a main suite. The second story continues easy vacation living with wood floors in three bedrooms. Bedroom three has a spacious bath with a whirlpool tub/shower. This bedroom also offers access to a third-floor tower room with a wet bar, futon, and extreme water views on three sides. Bedroom four has sound views and a full bath with a tub/shower. And bedroom five boasts sunrise views and a full bath with a large tiled shower. Out front, there is ample parking on the concrete driveway. Bring the walking shoes and bikes for treks around the quiet village roads. The house was very comfortable, it was easy finding a spot away from other guests. Nice chairs on the deck, 2 kayaks and an outdoor shower. Revommend bringing a bycycle or renting it if you are a beach person. Kind of long walk to the beach side. Lots of puzzles and games, books. Great location for windsurfers. Highly recommend.

We booked a partial week at this lovely home, and we were so happy that we did. The house was very clean, and very well appointed with all the things that make for a comfortable stay; well-stocked kitchen, wine chiller, board games, cozy blankets, toys for kids, 2 kayaks, space to spread out inside and outside on the covered porch. Our dog was very happy to play in the water near the dock, while we enjoyed sunsets in the hot tub. Don't miss a chance to enjoy a little of the classic Outer Banks vibe this home, and quiet neighborhood, has to offer.

Location was excellent. House is awesome. If you're a dog owner, be aware of potential visitors when letting your pup out the front, as neighborhood dogs often are roaming outside this property. Ours had a blast with them - the social committee is friendly. Just FYI.

We loved this house! The beds and pillows were comfy, plus the sheets were already on the beds. The hot tub had great sunset views. It was nice to access fishing/swimming in the sound off the backyard. There was ample parking for multiple vehicles. The kitchen had every utensil and item you could ever desire. I would highly recommend this house and plan to stay here again soon.

Perfect Soundfront location with pier and kayaks. Huge master upstairs with access to lot. Plentiful porch furniture for relaxing and watching the fish swarm and other wildlife. Even a cornhole game. Great time here.

The house was beautifully furnished. It felt very comfortable. Plenty of games for the children indoors and cornhole on the side porch. Two kayaks and beach toys for playing in the sand. Any item you could possibly want in the kitchen. Friendly "village" as my cousin referred to it who lives in Hatteras. The small children loved swimming in the sound. My Son enjoyed fishing. The older kids liked the hot tub. Food Lion was close and convenient. Beautiful sunsets from the back porch. I did not want to leave. Thanks

This property is positioned to give view to the most beautiful sunsets we have ever experienced in all of our travels! I'm so happy we found Reel Living #3 and had the opportunity to stay last week. The property was clean upon arrival, kitchen was well appointed, and the hot tub was a great perk -- especially while taking in the sunsets each evening. The house is in a quiet area - 1 neighboring home was occupied by vacationers as well, but otherwise appeared to be vacant rentals and local residents who were quiet and kept to themselves (which we appreciate). While the dock is narrow and not terribly comfortable for fishing or lounging, it was a nice way to access the water without having to leave the house. Local area has grocery store, restaurants, seafood market, etc. close by and within minutes of multiple beach access points. Washer/dryer was a nice bonus for someone who doesn't want to take home bags of laundry. Highly recommend this property for a larger group, though we enjoyed it as a couple traveling alone - did I mention the amazing sunsets?!?

We had a delightful time at Reel Living! There was a neat “wow” factor as we walked in—so clean and nicely decorated! We were pleasantly surprised at how deceptively large the house was…and yet it was not overwhelming…just right for the eight of us (easily accommodates ten). Our favorite feature was the amazing (and peaceful!) view of the sound. We planned this as a celebration for my wife’s 60th, and it was a perfect choice!

My friends and I really like cooking and house had all the cooking equipment that we needed. We enjoyed a lot of time in the hot tub and the views of the sunset from the back porch (where the hot tub sits) were immaculate.

This home was spacial and beautifully decorated. Very clean inside and out. Hot tub on outer deck was perfect, which Easily seats 4-6 people. Large fully stocked kitchen was a central gathering place as was the wrap around porch with nice comfy chairs. Would definitely stay again. Thank you

Our family LOVED this home. The photos online do not do justice to the roominess and comfort. Furniture and beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Location was excellent and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. Beautifully decorated, Reel Living is an updated older home in the older part of Avon with a comfortable layout and some really cool surprises like a tower with a futon and a work station! Accessibility was great for people with achy knees, with a reasonable number of steps to the first floor, where the kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms are located. Three roomy bedrooms upstairs had very comfy furnishings, en suites, and great views. The kitchen was well-stocked. The shaded deck offers fantastic soundfrount views. The grassy yard was perfect for rigging sailboarding equipment, and the little dock was great for launching kayaks and paddle boards. The owners thoughtfully include two kayaks, some bikes, and beach chairs for their renters. Our family has stayed in several houses in Avon, and Reel Living is by far our favorite.

It’s a great smaller house, right on the Sound. The new owners have updated many things in this house. My Wife and I were here for 2 weeks. A very nice, relaxing vacation. They changed TV service providers from Directv to ROKU/Spectrum streaming services. We were not familiar with these and didn’t even find Spectrum live TV until the 2nd week. This was the only major problem for 2 Disabled Retired people. A Television Guide would be VERY helpful! We will probably book this house again.

I absolutely loved this home and the location. We had 5 adults, 2 children, and 2 dogs. It was absolutely perfect! Great yard for the pups and kids to run around in. The home was extremely comfortable and very clean. The water access was wonderful and we had a lot of fun watching the kite-surfers fly by. I would highly recommend this home - one of the best OBX I have stayed in. Thank you so much for sharing!

I came up to Reel Living with two friends to work remotely for the month of February. The house was PHENOMENAL. We enjoyed the sunsets each night and had plenty of space to work and live. The WiFi was very fast and was able to accommodate three people working remotely for the entire month. Vacasa was also incredibly responsive and when we called with a need, they fulfilled it same day! 100% would recommend this home to anyone who wants to enjoy peace and quiet on beautiful Hatteras Island!
