Perched atop a high dune overlooking Avon's south beach is beautiful oceanfront Mare Vista. With five floors, it is the tallest house in Avon! The ground level has a single carport, storage room, outdoor shower, and fish cleaning area. Move to the oceanfront backyard with a furnished pool deck, covered outdoor bar, hot tub, and a beautifully custom-made, half-moon infinity concrete pool). From the pool deck, there is a path for easy access to the beach, just over the dune. Full-view glass doors lead to the spacious game room with a pool table, game table, TV, and wet bar with a fridge and dishwasher and access to the deck with a hot tub. Across the hall is the theater room with a 65-inch TV, surround sound, and seating. Move up the stairs with handcrafted stained-glass window accents to the second level. The third main living area is fully furnished and has a 45-inch TV. The kitchen offers granite countertops and a nearby dining area. Head up to the fourth level with a separate seating area with grand sound views. Level five houses an office area with two desks and a workstation, along with a bedroom with the highest skylight in Avon. Three of the four main suites are oceanfront, two have deck access, and three have a sofa/seating area and a private bath. One of the guest bedrooms is also oceanfront. A private washer/dryer is provided for your convenience. With outstanding accommodations and one-of-a-kind views, Mare Vista should be your next vacation destination.

Our family vacation in this home was very enjoyable. It is beautifully decorated and with 5 levels it is quite spacious. Since it is a multi-level house, it is not suited for anyone with mobility issues. Climbing up and down the stairs is a good cardio workout! This also applies to going to and from the beach. Traversing over the sand dunes while carrying a load of beach gear can be a challenge. We enjoyed flying kites, fishing and walking along the shoreline. The beach wasn't crowded at all. This house is very close to Food Lion, restaurants, gas stations, mini-golf and gift shops. This rental is well equipped with everything you would need. We do suggest bringing extra kitchen towels. There was only one towel which definitely isn't enough for a week's stay. Overall, our family had a wonderful time and made some very special memories!

This house was just the right size for 9 adults and two children. We stayed in the first week of October, most business and restaurants were still open at enough capacity to support us. The house was very clean. The bare essential items were provided - towels, bedding, dish soap, a few trash bags, cookware, etc. Ocean-side beach access was phenomenal, the pool and hot tub were well maintained and clean. Some beach chairs and boogie boards were a great to have as provided amenities. Pictures and 3D tour of the home on the Vacasa App were very accurate and the app was seamless. Would highly recommend this house, and the Vacasa management company for Avon area vacations.

We had a great time at Mare Vista! The house was very clean when we arrived. It was the perfect size for our family but there are lots of steps. The pool was the best part for our kids bc it was a hard walk to the beach. Even though it was ocean front, it was a trek to get to the ocean through the dunes. We ended up driving to the sound about 2 miles away 3 days of our vacation so we wouldn’t have to lug all the chairs over the dunes. We had a small incident with the hot tub but it was fixed within 48 hours and the person with Vacasa was great at keeping us updated at what was going on. I would recommend this property to any large family!

We looked at many properties for our family group of 12. This was ideal for us considering location, pool, pool table, bedrooms, and cost. OBX never disappoints !

We really enjoyed our week here, and highly recommend it. Based on some previous reviews, we were a little concerned about the cleanliness, but it was not an issue at all for us. We found the house to be very clean and well kept. (maybe they changed something this season?) The location is awesome, right off the beach. You do have to go over two dunes to get there, so don’t bring a wagon and expect to use it. Do bring shoes, because the second dune doesn’t have a staircase and the sand gets hot! Everyone loved the pool and the hot tub. The pool was in the shade from about 2:30PM on, so when the kids were tired/hot at the beach, we just migrated to the pool. All in all, we had an excellent stay here - Avon was a great little town. The house was perfect for us.

The house is as described-5 floors. Very nice bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Well supplied kitchen for dishes and cooking. The game room and pool/hot tub area were wonderful. Very close to grocery shopping and dining out. Wonderful views from several balconies. We had a great time!

Awesome house, location, amenities. Pool and hot tub were great. Only complaint (very minor) the mattresses are hard. We had a Great time here!

The house fit our family of 13 perfectly. Plenty of room for the adults and kids to have separate areas. The pool and hot tub was a great bonus for the kids.

This was our third time at Mare Vista. This house is like home to us! The few issues we had were minor and were taken care of quickly. We're sad that it's already booked for next year!
