Beanie's Bungalow has the beach and plenty of it! Located just two lots back from the ocean, Beanie's Bungalow is a quick walk to one of the Outer Banks' top beaches on Hatteras Island. The boardwalk to the most pristine, uncrowded stretch of beach on Avon's north end is just steps away. World class fishing, surfing, kite boarding, sunbathing, beach-combing, and swimming are located right past the beach walkway. Beanie's Bungalow guests receive complimentary seasonal access to Club Hatteras — the island's top spot for family fun, featuring the largest heated pool, cabanas, showers, a kiddie pool, playground, and picnic area. The under-house at Beanie's Bungalow provides shade and has full decking with seating, fish cleaning station, fabulous hot/cold shower, and convenient clotheslines. Fire up the charcoal park grill and enjoy laid-back cookouts after a day at the beach. The large furnished sundeck above the garage catches every ray of sunshine and allows for listening to the waves and surf in the nearby ocean by day and star gazing by night. Bring the bikes because Avon is two-wheeler friendly.

Did we mention there are two ice cream shops and restaurants within walking distance? Beanie's Bungalow is situated in a quiet location in Avon on Hatteras Island with nearby local shops, a grocery store, and charter services. Beanie's Bungalow is easy on the vacationer with only one set of stairs and all rooms located on a single level. The living room in this unique octagon-shaped home has a cathedral ceiling, seaside chestnut flooring, colorful comfortable furniture, a huge library of books, LED TV/DVD (streaming live TV), games, movies and free FAST internet/WiFi. The kitchen is fully equipped and has all the necessary appliances, a breakfast counter overlooking a large picture window, and a full-size stacked washer/dryer. The dining area is an addition that opens up the space and produces an abundance of light. The centrally located full bath contains a tub and shower. There are 3 bedrooms: bedroom one contains a queen bed, LED TV (streaming live TV), and a half bath; bedroom two has a queen bed and DVD player; and bedroom three has a twin-over-full pyramid bunk bed. Beanie's Bungalow has great beach décor in every room.

This is our second stay at this property and its a wonderful beach house. Short walk to the beach, close to cups and cones and plenty of indoor activities for a rainy day or at home evening. Cant wait to go back!

Beanie’s Bungalow is not a newly built modern home . . . but rather an older comfortable home full of soothing colors and personality! It has every advantage of a higher priced newer more modern home. It is worth every dollar spent and perfect for the amount saved.! Readily available were a multitude of house entertainment activities: games (adult and family varieties); books, books everywhere (hard-backs, paperbacks, fiction, non-fiction). We were all pleasantly surprised that there was hot water available in all faucets almost instantaneously. No need to wait! This has not been our experience in many places that we have previously stayed. We were extremely pleased with the well-coordinated color schemes in each and every room. And, noted throughout the entire home were charming touches/embellishments. Overall just a wonderful and comfortable beach house!!!

5 star review across the board. The communication from Vacasa was timely & spot on for the beginning to the end. Everyone I dealt with was customer service driven & went above & beyond a few special requests I had. The property is in a perfect location & well kept. I will be back to Beanie's Bungalo

With the short walk to the nice wide beach along with the small number of steps to enter and exit the cottage, we very much enjoyed our second visit to Beanie's. Outside shower was set up nicely but could use a little more water pressure.

This unique home is a beach lovers dream. If you just want to lay in the sun, the deck is spectacular or the short walk to the beach is very manageable even with tiny humas and beach gear. Highly recommend by a family with two youngsters!

The home is close to the beach....but when having chairs, tents, etc. it is a hike up over the dunes. We had a beach cart that we borrowed from a friend and it did not work good in the sand.....if you are looking to take a cart (i suggest that you do if you have a lot to carry), make sure you get one with wide rubber wheels with good traction (ours had plastic wheels 👎). The area is quiet with not much to do other than the beach, but still had great dinning options (check out Ketch 55, you will not be disappointed with the cuisine) and a few shops. About an hour away from "hustle bustle" beach town and and about an hour away from the end of the island with the light house and beach with calmer waves. All in all we liked this property.

This house was so cute and inviting! The t was perfect for our family of 6. It was just a couple minute walk to the beach. The outdoor shower was perfect for our girls. Definitely a 10 out of 10! Thank you Beanie for sharing your home.

This little house was in a great location and very cozy! Has everything you need for a nice stay. We would definitely return but we are bringing another couple with us next year and I believe it is a little small for that. Nice outdoor shower and fish cleaning sink/table. We caught over 30 fish in 6 hours. We didn't get to fish the rest of the week due to the storms. Few great local restaurants and tackle shop nearby. We will definitely keep this place in mind if just the two of us return. Would definitely recommend this place for a couple or small family.

The location is great, the house is super cute. A lot of the houses around Outer Banks are multi level, with lots of balconies. With a 3 year old and 2 year old I loved that the house only had one entrance/exit and wasn’t multiple stories, made for less stress with the kids. It was a great little house. The only negative things I would say is that there is no full body mirror any where in the home. Which is super petty, but I did wish there was one every time I went to get ready, and although the beach is super close it is a bit of hike to get down to the water but there isn’t anything anyone can do about that. I would stay here again.
