Beautiful cottage, quiet neighborhood. My hubby suggests an outside broom to sweep porch and steps. :)

Beanie's Bungalow is such a great beach house and within a short walking distance to a beautiful beach (about 100 feet). Loved the deck and decorations throughout the house, as well as the cleanliness. The house was spotless upon arrival. It feels like a home away from home. Most OBX homes have lots of stairs...this was easy with our little kids and only one set of steps. Close to restaurants and bait shops. Thank you, Beanie for sharing your bungalow! We will be back again next year!

This is our second stay at this property and its a wonderful beach house. Short walk to the beach, close to cups and cones and plenty of indoor activities for a rainy day or at home evening. Cant wait to go back!

Beanie’s Bungalow is not a newly built modern home . . . but rather an older comfortable home full of soothing colors and personality! It has every advantage of a higher priced newer more modern home. It is worth every dollar spent and perfect for the amount saved.! Readily available were a multitude of house entertainment activities: games (adult and family varieties); books, books everywhere (hard-backs, paperbacks, fiction, non-fiction). We were all pleasantly surprised that there was hot water available in all faucets almost instantaneously. No need to wait! This has not been our experience in many places that we have previously stayed. We were extremely pleased with the well-coordinated color schemes in each and every room. And, noted throughout the entire home were charming touches/embellishments. Overall just a wonderful and comfortable beach house!!!

This unique home is a beach lovers dream. If you just want to lay in the sun, the deck is spectacular or the short walk to the beach is very manageable even with tiny humas and beach gear. Highly recommend by a family with two youngsters!

Property just as pictured. Bring a beach cart with wide treaded rubber wheels to transport items to beach.....hard walk thru the dunes (plastic wheeled carts will not work). Quiet area with small selection of stores and restaurants. Ketch 55 is delicious!

The home is close to the beach....but when having chairs, tents, etc. it is a hike up over the dunes. We had a beach cart that we borrowed from a friend and it did not work good in the sand.....if you are looking to take a cart (i suggest that you do if you have a lot to carry), make sure you get one with wide rubber wheels with good traction (ours had plastic wheels 👎). The area is quiet with not much to do other than the beach, but still had great dinning options (check out Ketch 55, you will not be disappointed with the cuisine) and a few shops. About an hour away from "hustle bustle" beach town and and about an hour away from the end of the island with the light house and beach with calmer waves. All in all we liked this property.

This house was so cute and inviting! The t was perfect for our family of 6. It was just a couple minute walk to the beach. The outdoor shower was perfect for our girls. Definitely a 10 out of 10! Thank you Beanie for sharing your home.

Cute comfy home feel. Fun beach decorations throughout. If you're stuck inside because of the rain like we were you will have plenty to keep you occupied with the absolutely comprehensive collection of books, DVDs and streaming availability. Although there is a wonderfully stocked kitchen there was no tea/coffee! Kind of puzzling because there's a kettle and coffee maker. Would love to stay again and hopefully it won't rain!

The house is decorated just right for a beach house and was very clean. The Kitchen is small but serviceable and the location was only a short walk to a great beach

the house was perfect for the two of us. Outside shower was clean (even has a mirror) and underside of house was set up for rainy days and was clean and comfortable (except for mosquitoes which we all must learn to live with). Small but efficient kitchen with all appliances in great working order. Excellent WIFI connection. Only complaint was being too old or dumb to use ROKU/SLING for TV. It took forever to find current evening news. Who watches last nite's evening news anyway?? Not a big problem cause we do not go on vacation to watch TV. Owners left very good detailed instructions for everything in the house. We will come again! Thanks

This little house was in a great location and very cozy! Has everything you need for a nice stay. We would definitely return but we are bringing another couple with us next year and I believe it is a little small for that. Nice outdoor shower and fish cleaning sink/table. We caught over 30 fish in 6 hours. We didn't get to fish the rest of the week due to the storms. Few great local restaurants and tackle shop nearby. We will definitely keep this place in mind if just the two of us return. Would definitely recommend this place for a couple or small family.

An adorable place, clean, well stocked and steps from the beach! My only comment is that we found the beds/pillows to be a little uncomfortable. I think if we had brought our own pillows it would’ve been doable. Just something to keep in mind if that’s important to you.

The location is great, the house is super cute. A lot of the houses around Outer Banks are multi level, with lots of balconies. With a 3 year old and 2 year old I loved that the house only had one entrance/exit and wasn’t multiple stories, made for less stress with the kids. It was a great little house. The only negative things I would say is that there is no full body mirror any where in the home. Which is super petty, but I did wish there was one every time I went to get ready, and although the beach is super close it is a bit of hike to get down to the water but there isn’t anything anyone can do about that. I would stay here again.

Beanie’s Bungalow provides your home base for a great vacation. The house is tucked in on a quiet street a short walk through the dunes to the beach. It has everything you need, including an exceptionally well equipped kitchen. When you are indoors, there is plenty of comfortable seating including 2 couches. The outdoor seating is on a deck outside the front door which unfortunately doesn’t have any shade. The shaded area is under the house, which did not appeal to us.

We enjoyed our time in beanies bungalow! Clean and accommodating, loved the outdoor shower and enjoyed the deck. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Plenty enough dishes and pans for meals in. Short walk to the beach with the perfect dune feel. Very clean and loved the decorations made us feel at home! Thank you would love to come back again.

The bungalow was comfortable for the 5 of us. Good location, close to everything and just a 2min walk to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. Only knock is that it was a little small but it was very clean so not a big deal.

Everything was very clean and as described. The house is tucked back off the road with a very short walk to the beach access over the dunes. It was a lovely stay with restaurants and shops with walking distance. Avon Pier is also a short drive away. We would definitely stay again.

Such a great beach house! We loved being so close to the beach (which was so beautiful..the best in OBX and great for fishing) as well as having a sun deck to hang out on. Everything we needed was provided, even games and movies for the kids. Close to amenities (grocery store, reasturants, fishing gear, pier, etc) right around the corner. Would recommend to anyone wanting and great beach get away. We will be coming back and renting again soon!

The house was very comfortable and close to the beach. The house was fully stocked and the linens were there upon arrival. There were lots of things to do in the surrounding area, but it still felt like a private get away. The rental management company was very accommodating and answered all of our questions. We would definitely rent this house next year and recommend it to anyone looking for a great beach house near the ocean.

If you’ve ever dreamed of staying in a cozy beach cottage a stone’s throw from the beach, this is your destination. It is decorated with with just the right touch of beach chic with amazing colors through out the unique circular house on stilts. It looks small but comfortably sleeps 8/9 people with three bedrooms & a fold- out couch. Two bathrooms, an outdoor shower, and a washer/drying combo right off the kitchen is the icing on the cake. The owners kindly left plenty of books , games and, of course, several TV’s not to mention WiFi. The beach house is nestled in a lovely neighbor- friendly little community. If you love the beach, this place will be heaven to you. One of the widest beaches in the US with white sand hugging the ocean. Plenty of people walking, fishing, parasailing, swimming & just enjoying the outdoors. Plenty of places to eat out & buy that special vacation OBX tee shirt. Honestly, what’s not to like. Oh, Did I mention central air? Sweet!
