AVHC83 Waking Dream #83-HC

Waking Dream was a fantastic house to stay in. Everything worked and was clean. One improvement I would recommend, would be to refresh or refinish the varnish on the dining table. It is in process of disintegrating and makes for a sticky surface.

The location was perfect, the dogs enjoyed it, and access to the beach was just a few steps out the door .

The kitchen was well appointed and included an airfryer; regular coffee pot plus a keurig; old style toaster, plenty of utensils, pots and pans. A working ice maker in the side by side refrigerator was working well. The decks were furnished with comfortable and ample furniture. The tv nook was convenient. The close location to the beach access boardwalk was appreciated! The outdoor shower was large and equipped with many hooks. Parking was tight but includes space for 4 vehicles.

The house is beautiful and very well set up for a group. I loved being able to see the water from the porch, but it is quite a distance away. We walked to dinner, so that is convenient.

We loved our vacation.The view was really beautiful. Loved the outside decks. Beach was very accessible but quite a workout. Enjoyed having the beach to ourselves and found many nice shells.

The close beach access is nice. Remember though, this is Avon and you still have to contend with a dune to get out to the beach. But, 4x4 access is close by, which was is nice. The house has some updates, the new deck and counter tops are nice. There is some water damage in parts of the ceiling, but hey, it's a beach house. It could use a deep clean under the beds, furniture, etc. But it was clean enough when we arrived. Having the TV up in the loft instead of the main living area is a great idea. It keeps the sound at bay when the kids are in bed. Bring a gate if you have Littles and the loft can be a great play area, as well. Could use some better pans and cooking utensils. The neighborhood was quiet. We had a great time and would stay again.

We enjoyed staying here! The location right next to the beach access was wonderful! The view from the deck is outstanding. Loved the separate TV area! Great dining table and well stocked kitchen! Can’t wait to come back!

Waking Dream has a lot of space and is perfect for a family or several couples. We loved the open floor plan on the second floor and numerous porch views. Plenty of room to spread out. The ocean is close by, parking is perfect with room to clean off gear at the end of the day.

Booked with my family of 6. plenty of room to have a little alone time or all get together to enjoy a meal and each others company. Great location near the beach, almost as close as you can get. Loved the private outdoor shower and water hose access under the covered parking area to get all the beach off of you before going in the house. That really worked well with 4 kids. quiet neighborhood. Fantastic views of the sunrise from the upstairs balcony and kitchen. We would definitely consider booking here again!

Waking Dream was everything I expected and more. Very close to beach walkway. Amazing views of the ocean from the great room and front deck. Also great soundside view of sunset from screened in area. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped with everything you could need. The house was very clean throughout. We will definitely stay here again.

Loved the layout of this place. Nice ocean view from the top deck. Comfortably furnished with tasteful artwork throughout. Conveniently located at the end of a cul-de-sac, at a beach access point. Still a pretty good haul to the beach itself, which may be difficult for younger children or elderly folks. Liked the place though and most likely will return!

Needed this week so much to be nice and quiet. It was, the house was a welcoming attraction all week; after the beach and after meals out. It was so quiet in the deck and the little Tv room offered an nice perk we weren’t looking for… scary movies before Halloween! Hated to leave.

Waking Dream is a wonderful vacation spot! It's right off the beach. You do need to traverse significant dunes, but that's true for all houses in Avon. The view from the great room is beautiful and unencumbered! Avon is away from the main drags, but in these times that's a major plus. The beach is spacious and not crowded. Plus, the night sky is spectacular. You still have DQ, Food Lion, and Duck Donuts. What more could you want? A few critiques: the cleaning prior to our arrival could have been a bit more thorough. Also, the management company could have been a bit more generous with starter amenities. Be prepared to bring or buy soap and shampoo if you stay more than a few days.

Excellent rental property with all the amenities required for a perfect week’s vacation! Beds were comfortable, furnishings were clean and appropriate for a beach house. Beautiful views from the oceanfront deck. Short steps to the beach just over the dune across from the house. I would highly recommend this property! Excellent value for the price!

My husband's parents and our family (2 parents, 3 kids) stayed in Waking Dream the week of August 11-18. The house is beautiful, nicely decorated and roomy, with a great kitchen/living room layout for socializing and enjoying a lovely view of the ocean in air-conditioned comfort :) The beds were quite comfortable and we had plenty of space in the bedrooms. The kids loved the loft bed! The location was perfect. We were about 20 feet from the beach access walkway, so we could go on and off the beach without a second thought. The street itself was pretty and quiet. We were close to plenty of shops, food places and the Food Lion in town, and there was even a gluten-free muffin place a few blocks down the road! We truly enjoyed our stay in Waking Dream!
