Exciting upgrade for the 2025 Seaseon New HOT TUB installed. Love the water? Then make the beautiful Island Creek Resort your home for a week or a lifetime. This semi-private waterfront resort has 16 island-style homes designed for the active beach life. Set on Avon's pristine north end and accessible only by bridge, Island Creek Resort offers over 1,000 feet of shallow sound-front access. Windsurfers, kite surfers, kayakers, and kids will love this ultra-friendly location, where miles of open Pamlico Sound facilitate launching, fishing, exploring, relaxing, or just horsing around in the water. Please note that the fireplace is not available for guest use. The boat ramp and docks handle small boats and personal watercraft. Acres of manicured sod keep Island Creek Resort looking good and feeling good underfoot. Relax in ICR's community pool or put on some sunscreen and head across the street to Avon's super beachfront. Spring and fall guests sing ICR's praises for board sports, while many families regale in this secret spot for summer getaways. Seasoned travelers even head to ICR for their winter holidays. We had a wonderful stay. The house is perfectly located right by the bay, offering beautiful views and easy access to the water. It was very clean, functional, and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable vacation. The property provides a relaxing atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy your time away. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

We have stayed at Island Creek many years and it met our expectations. I like the new communication . Miss the kayak being provided and no code given for pool but I didn’t call because we just hung at the sound and ocean . We did try our house code and others had trouble as well. The microwave has a loose handle and I did stop the toilet from running - bathroom closest to front door. Nice to not have to bring sheets and bath towels and to have the starter kits from baths and kitchen . Downstairs storage area has some stuff like a water ski , fin, and cage that probably should be cleaned out. The decor is the same from 12 years ago :) we are there for the water and windsurfing so not an issue for us.

We really enjoyed staying at the Island Star for our windsurfing vacation. Great place to launch from, store gear, meet other windsurfers. The outdoor showers were perfect after a day on the water! The house was clean and practical, the kitchen has all the utensils, pots, pans etc. BYO spices, trash bags, kitchen towels, dishwasher and laundry detergent etc. Especially if you are a larger group. We definitely will stay here again.

Great location for windsurfing and 2-block walk to the beach. House was tidy and has enough furnishings. Great outdoor locker for gear & two outdoor showers (didn’t use so don’t know if they work). Quiet location. Beautiful sunsets!

Island Star was comfortable and great location. Well equipped with no major problems. Would love to return but Vacasa has raised the price by 50% next year!

We decided to take a quick trip to the Outer Banks and the house was great and VACASA was able to accommodate us with a days notice. House has a great view of the sound and the sunset/evenings were wonderful.

Second time renting!

This is a great home - we have rented it twice. Perfect access to the Sound for Windsurfing, kiting, etc. Great backyard. Comfortable beds, good home layout and overall a great experience.

Overall very good. Kitchen was well stocked. No extra paper towels and only one extra trash bag. Of course the cheapest TP was provided (but plenty) so byotp if you are picky. Towels were very thin but nice to be able to wash them during our stay. Furniture was comfortable, beds were good but pillows were hit or miss. Plenty of blankets however which was appreciated. We were happy and might stay again if price was right.

A great house with the easiest access to Pamlico Sound! Well set up for windsurfers & kite surfers with outdoor showers, large gear storage area, hot tub, plenty of parking & comfy furniture. The home itself is getting a little bit worn, but it had plenty of everything we needed. Well equipped kitchen. Easy walking distance to the beach & Avon has a good sidewalk for walking & biking in the village. Would rent again.

This house was amazing! Great views of the sound, private community pool. The house is very spacious and well stocked. We did our own cleaning due to the late check in because of short staffed. Let me tell you Rita from Vacasa worked a miracle for our family. Very kind and understanding.

Great house! Large grassy rigging area for kites and windsurfing gear. The grass did not get flooded during a storm while our neighbors got their fair share of water. Large area to lock your gear. Right behind Ocean Air Sports. Good restaurant within walking distance. Pots and pans were a bit old side but ok. Not a cheap rental but all worth it.
