Tressa Terrace is a beautiful ocean front condo and it feels like our home away from home as we again enjoyed our stay there for the third year in a row. Condo is very clean and tastefully decorated and the view from the deck is spectacular! Love the OBX and hope to return soon!💕☀️🌊

Condo was very nice. Directly ocean views is what you want and get with this property. Plenty of kitchen pots/pans, etc. Great hairdryer in the master. Good Lion about 1/2 mile south. Lots of nice restaurants nearby(Cockeyed Clam, Oceana, Cafe Pamlico).

This place was amazing! Perfectly decorated, fantastically supplied kitchen and an amazing view and access to the beach! It doesn't get any better than this. The sunrise every morning was amazing with our coffee.. We saw dolphins on morning. Watching the surfers and fisherman on the beach and pier was very entertaining. We will be back😁❣️

Pool was wonderful for a morning swim and/or after a day at the beach. Vacasa, the management company, was quick to answer any questions. Check out Sunrise Seafood Market for amazing fresh seafood!

Chose this property for its oceanfront location and also loved the proximity to stores, restaurants, etc. My daughter and I visited for a long weekend. There was a little confusion with getting to the unit with the directions provided but we figured it out. Disappointed that the weather was cool and overcast/rainy but tried to spend as much time as we could on the oceanfront balcony immersed in the relaxing sensory experience. There were two black and yellow totes that sat outside the front door for the entirety of our stay. We weren’t sure why they were there or if there was anything we were supposed to do with them but they didn’t inconvenience us in any way. The condo was well-appointed and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had lots of cookware, dishes, tableware, glasses, etc. There were no Coffee filters, salt/pepper/seasoning or cooking oil so bring those or a Food Lion is less than a mile away. Didn’t see any countertop cleaner under the kitchen sink for clean up after meal prep but did discover a few things in the cabinet over the washing machine. We hope to return again and hope for better weather the next time.

My daughter and I had a last-minute opportunity to get away during her spring break and booked this condo due to its location near Frisco horseback riding and it’s high guest ratings. It was just as pictured and reviewed, a beach-themed, cozy and comfortable condo with private deck and a wonderful view of the beach, ocean, and Avon Pier. Exceptionally clean annd cute decor. Our first couple of days were cold and rainy, and two cozy chairs by the sliders still let us enjoy the view and ocean sounds. We loved the deck for meals and the short walk to the beach on our sunny days. The condo is five medium flights up, so a nice ocean view of the many surfers by the pier. The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is less than 7 miles south, and Equine Adventure is 12 miles south in Frisco. Highly recommend that ride for a trip through the Maritime forest and out into the beach. We also trekked to the mansion in Corolla and took the car ferry south to spend time on a great shelling beach on Ocracoke Island. We had heavy wind and rains, which made for tricky driving in many high water flood areas, but the OBX pros had the heavy movers out clearing sand and getting the roads and ferry re-opened within a day. We didn’t stay long enough to visit many places on our list, so look forward to our next visit. We enjoyed meals where recommended at Diamond Shoal, Black Pelican, and Ketch 22. The condo was well-stocked with the basics and we appreciated the extra blankets during the cold nights we had. BYO beach towels and toiletries like lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. We highly recommend this gem for a stay, especially for quieter beaches and to explore the southern destinations in OBX.

Just after hurricane so ocean was spectacular. Nothing better than sleeping with the windows open and hearing the crashing waves. Avon had a lot more going for it than expected. The view from deck was also way better than snyicipated

First time staying at OBX as an adult and first time for my husband ever and couldn’t ask for a better stay. The condo was beautiful and quiet and the view was pure perfection. Steps away from the beach for fun and loved watching the tide change from the privacy of our own balcony after a day outside. Easy access food and fun and the condo was filled with games and tv streaming if you wanted a quiet night in. Will absolutely be back and grateful for all the accommodations and hospitality from the property owners.

The only negative was that the pool code was updated from the flyer we received prior to arrival. We could not ask for a more awesome place to stay for our OBX vacation. This is the 3rd time we have stayed in the Islander complex and this is the best condo by far. All the amenities were there, there was nothing missing! We had to switch our week and Jenny was extremely accommodating in helping us make that happen. The home is decorated lovely and it was warm and inviting. A lot of love was put into this condo to help guests feel at home.

Tressa Terrace is an excellent place to relax and enjoy the Outer Banks. The kitchen is well stocked with every utensil, bowl, pan and storage container needed. Often times when staying at a rental it doesn’t feel like home because so much is lacking. Not so with Tressa Terrace! We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the surfers and dolphins. It is a short walk to the beach and there is a storage closet on the lower level with beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and even a cooler- no need to lug these items from home or spend extra money purchasing them. We were fortunate to be able to keep the windows open the entire week listening to the ocean and feeling a cool breeze. It was convenient to have three TVs with options like Hulu, Netflix, and other streaming services so the kids could unwind after a long day of play. Definitely recommend staying at Tressa Terrace.

This is our 2nd trip to Tressa Terrace. The first time we came with friends and had a blast! This trip it was just my husband and me. He is an avid fisherman and I am an avid reader. But he did not even unpack his gear. He simply enjoyed the rest and relaxation, not only on the beach but also from the wonderful deck with that beautiful oceanfront view!!! We did not even mind the rainy day. This condo is well equipped! So very nice to have laundry, dish and hand soaps, paper towels, toilet tissue, sheets and towels provided. And the location is perfect as it is close to Food Lion and other shopping. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us and we look forward to our next trip to OBX!!!

Loved everything about it! It was very clean, bright and cheery. It was exactly like the pictures and videos posted. We loved the view from the porches. Our favorite part was watching the dolphins every day and enjoying the sunrises and sunsets. The location was great for our vacation. We can’t wait to go back!

This was our first stay in Avon and we are already talking about when we will be back! The location was great! We saw dolphins off our patio within the first half hour of being there! We were close enough to other towns for lots of options of food and entertainment! (Capt Johhny’s dolphin cruise was amazing!!) the sunsets on the balcony can’t be beat! This was also the cleanest place we have ever stayed! We made the perfect family memories with our little ones and can’t wait to be back next summer! Thank you!!

we were pleasantly surprised that the property was better in person than in the photos. We loved being right on the beach and spent a great deal of time on the deck. I will definitely want to stay at that property again. Avon was not as crazy crowded ad Nags Head.

This was our second stay at Tressa Terrace. We had a wonderful time again! When we arrived we felt like we were home. We love the unit. The decor is just beautiful and everything was so clean when arrived. The view, location, everything are just perfect. We’re hoping to go back again. On a whim we decided to road trip from Michigan to escape the gloomy, chilly weather. Another several day meeting that turned virtual so I thought, why be online from our living room? Best decision. This property is exactly as described and pictured. Immaculately clean. Well appointed kitchen. Very nicely laid out with BR & bath at either end, with small extra sitting area adjacent to living room where you can enjoy the view if not on the balcony. Location is perfect; plenty of little restaurants nearby and grocery 1 mile away. Second floor (three flights up) so there are other balconies nearby and above, but we were not bothered by that; ?an issue during busy season. Interesting book collection that we enjoyed perusing! The view simply cannot be beat - I could stare at the ocean all day, every day. Gorgeous sunrises, and the skies are as stunning after sunset. You are steps from the ocean, it doesn't get better. I can't lie, it felt pretty good sitting out on the balcony, staring at the ocean while listening in on my conference. 'Twas good for the soul. Highly recommend this location, and if we ever return, would book again in a minute. Thank you to the owners for sharing your space!

This was the perfect peaceful place to stay for our first visit to the Outer Banks. My parents wanted to relish in the history and see the wild horses of the area. Wish we could have stayed longer! Can’t think of anything that would have made it better - either with the accommodations or the location! Watching the dolphins from the private deck, having the sunrise wake you from the bedroom windows, listening to the ocean waves at night and being within feet of the beach were all the best! We were pleasantly surprised by the condo and the location. This condo has the most beautiful views of the sunrises, sunsets, and dolphins sightings. We truly enjoyed our walks on the beach, the tranquility of the town, and the amenities Teressa Terrance provides. The condo is well equipped with supplies, from dishwashing soap to dryer sheets, to aluminum foil, etc. We felt right home. I love that the owners thought of everything to make our stay more enjoyable. We will for sure recommend this condo. It's simply beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The only con that I would share has nothing to do with the condo but maybe the direction was a little confusing. The zip code seemed to be wrong and the condo says to the left of the Pier, where it should be right of the Pier. The condo pictures were very helpful. Overall, it was excellent.

Couldn’t have asked for better weather nor a more perfect place. The condo was perfect for our family of four and you can’t beat the view of the ocean from the deck. The condo was nicely decorated and clean. I wish there were curtains for the windows in the second bedroom as my young kids work up everyday the second light hit the room from outside. Zzzzz. The kitchen had everything needed and the condo was perfectly located to anything we needed. We brought our bikes and went for a bike ride a couple of times. We even drove to the aquarium only an hour away which was super cute for the kids. Highly recommend this place!

We watched sunrises and sunsets. Took the ferry to Okracoke. Went to Corolla and saw many of the wild horses there. Checked out lighthouses and ate out at a couple places with outdoor seating. Most of our meals we made in the condo in a nice kitchen. Had to bring our own sheets, towels, and washing detergent, but other than that, (possibly due to COVID?) it was a very nice place with a beautiful view.

This was our second visit. All went smoothly. We forgot to bring linens and property mgr answered phone and brought them to us shortly after arrival. Hatteras Island is so nice this time of year (early Oct) and the beachfront location is perfect.

We had a lovely stay at Tressa Terrace. The place lived up to the reviews - it was clean, comfortable for family and had a surprisingly well appointed kitchen. We came 2 weeks before Memorial Day so the pool was not open, but the beach was not crowded and the weather was perfect. There was a little hiccup at check in due to an unusual booking prior to our stay, but the communication was prompt with the owners and management and was quickly resolved. We loved our stay and hope to be back again.

Wonderful two bedroom condo. Beautiful views, well equipped kitchen, nicely decorated very clean. Loved the three page communication from the owner about the area and things to do. We enjoyed our quick visit to see our son who lives close by. Our porch overlooking the Avon pier and 180 view of the beach was our favorite spot. The beds and furniture were much nicer than other beach trips.

We stayed at this property from 2/19-2/23. The video from the VRBO site was dead accurate! We couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable, well stocked, nicely decorated condo. Each morning we sat in the two chairs “the perch” and watched the sun rise. It was amazing! We brought google chromecast and we were able to watch shows that we had on our list to view. Oceanas Restaurant was very good. They know how to cook seafood and not overcook it. They also have good mixed drinks. I love good wines but left that off for this trip...our dining options were limited during this time of year. We cooked in and the kitchen had everything we needed. This property is excellent for anyone looking for a getaway. The owners are responsive, the location ideal and views are amazing! We are grateful for the experience.

My wife had and I really enjoyed our time here. Lovely, well-maintained condo. We enjoyed watching the surfers from the balcony and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Went to some nice restaurants with outside seating and also had everything we needed to cook. Great home base to explore the Outer Banks. My husband and I had a great stay. The location and view of the condo were pretty unbeatable. The unit was clean and well appointed. The surf was a little rough for swimming during our stay but good for surfing. As noted in a prior review, blankets and pillows are provided, so all you need to bring are sheets and pillowcases. The condo was ideal for us -- an empty-nest couple joined by grown son and girlfriend. Sparkling clean. The layout was just as described (helpful to have that accurate video tour). The kitchen was extremely well-equipped for cooking in: nice details such as a Bodum and electric kettle as well as drip coffee maker. The balcony and Adirondack chairs were idyllic. Lots of books and board games. Total comfort. You do have to bring your own linen, towels, beach chairs, umbrella (or rent from caretaking company). The beach is fabulous, with pounding surf, not many people, surfing, fish pier nearby, good restaurants at hand. Well worth the hour's drive south of crowded, kitschy Kitty Hawk. Everything we hoped for.

We spent a week at this beautiful property soaking up some sun and yet still staying socially distanced. The kitchen was perfect for cooking in (remember to bring extra paper towels and tp), the balcony was perfect for watching the ocean and the sunrise and the beach wasn't too crowded that we felt unsafe. We went deep sea fishing one day, rode our bikes (note there is not storage space for them so bring a lock) two mornings and spent some time jumping in the waves. It was our first time staying in Avon and I hope it won't be our last.

Property was better than expected. Clean accommodations, ample space, lots of seating choices both inside and out, great appliances, A/C worked well, both property owner and managers were responsive to our questions/needs. Must be able to climb lots of stairs to get to unit and when it rains, they will be wet and slick. Suggestions for owner: a better mattress in master bedroom; let renters know that the bed does come with a bedspread and they only need to rent sheets; somehow block rain from dripping though slats above front door.

We rented this property for a few days to celebrate our 30th anniversary and to have a view to look at besides our four walls we've been staring at since March. This condo provided just what we needed. We were able to sit on the deck overlooking the ocean and just enjoy watching the kite surfers and even saw some dolphins. It was also a perfect viewpoint for the sunrise. The condo was very clean and we loved the layout. One thing to note is that the stairs to the beach were blocked off since a storm took out the stairs, so you have to walk down the street and around to the pier to get to the beach. It might be good to just make a note of that since the pictures made it look, to us, like we had direct access. That, however, was not a big deal in the scheme of things. Thanks for the great place! We hope to be back in the future.

Our stay in Avon was one of the most relaxing weeks we've had in a long time and that was in large part due to the beautiful place we rented from Jenny and Richard. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, fully stocked, and had a stunning view of the ocean. We spent a good majority of our time on the spacious deck, lounging in two high adirondack chairs, enjoying the ocean breeze and the antics of the seagulls. We even watched two stunning moonrises from the deck. We'd like to thank Jenny and Richard for letting us rent their pride and joy and for accomodating a special request.
