Great location! Nice house! It does have some "use", so don't expect perfection everywhere. But it was clean, everything worked, and it's ocean front!

We loved the location of this house ! We opened the sliding doors to the master bedroom every morning to the sound of waves and the view of the sunrise. The house has multiple levels so be ready to climb and find your perfect spot ! The walk to over the dunes is a quick one and there is a public access with stairs nearby. The house has multiple deck areas that face the ocean. Coffee up there in the morning is perfect ! The Pier is right down the beach and the bike trail/side walk easily accessible. There is a spacious dining area and living room for family games. We had a great time !

The location feels quite private but is also a very short walk to the Avon Pier. Great ocean views from the decks. Furnishings were quite nice, including a foosball table. All beds were made except for top bunks; we didn't use those and they did leave a set of clean sheets if we had. Two sets of towels in each bedroom. I'm accustomed to renting beach houses that are not provided with linens so that was a nice service. My only complaints are that the kitchen was not well stocked with cooking pots and utensils, and the outdoor shower did not have adequate hot water supply (restriction in the line?).

We had a wonderful week (Sat-Sat) at Poetry in Motion. Let me tell you why. After a long day of driving, we arrived near dark and what a pleasure it was to walk into a spotlessly clean house. Walking up the stairs to the top floor we were stunned by the beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean which was roaring loudly at that time. You are literally right on the ocean, maybe 50 yards away. The views from the front deck are amazing. Make sure to bring your camera to catch a photo of the morning sunrise. The beach is very accessible via a public walkway deck which is just south of the house. The public walkway also has a large stairway to help you get over the dunes without creating any damage to them. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of warm comforters and the lines and towels supplied by Vacasa were plentiful. When you first enter the house, you should find all your linens and towels in large laundry bags either in the entry foyer or right near the garage door in a large rectangular black box. The bathrooms all had a starter set of toilet paper and soap but you will need to bring your own personal favorite toiletries. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you may need. The house is in the middle of Avon Village, and you are just minutes away from the Food Lion grocery store, post office, restaurants and just about every place else via Hwy 12. Also, the Vacasa staff were very helpful and responsive. There was an issue with a damaged electric socket which was replaced the day after the concern was reported. I would not hesitate to book this delightful house by the ocean again! Hope you have a great time at the Outer Banks on your visit.

We had the best time at this house! It was very clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. Some of the furniture is “out of date” but it was all still fully functional and comfortable. The best part of the house is the location and the view. We’re already discussing renting again!

overall the property is nice but oceanfront air is brutal to housing. so it has the normal oceanfront wear no screens in the windows. very well stocked with pots and pans beds are nice the location makes up for all short falls

We love to stay here off season because the view is so beautiful (the pictures in the listing do not even do it justice at all). We are a family of 8 so this house is nice and big! Since our last stay, they have updated the living room furniture and it's so much more comfy now!

We stayed at Poetry in Motion for an annual fishing weekend. Amazing location and the home was in fine shape for late in the season. We had a bit of a hiccup with the cable service, but Vacasa was super helpful getting that issue straight in a timely and professional manner.

This house has the most beautiful view of the beach. The weather didn’t cooperate during our visit, but we could still enjoy the ocean view. The layout of the house is great. Nice furniture and the kitchen was stocked with nice cookware. They also have games and books for you to enjoy. My only complaint was that the cable didn’t work in three of the bedrooms. It took me several calls to get someone out to look at it. Even though it was an issue with the cable company it would have been nice if they had made the necessary calls sooner than they did. We finally got the cable in those rooms with about 3 days left in our stay. Other than that, everything was perfect.

We woke up each morning laying in bed watching the sun rise over the ocean. The three larger rooms all have great views. There were a few signs of wear on the house but nothing major. The furniture was nice. Beds were comfy. Stove and dishwasher worked well so overall this house was a great place to stay.

This house was absolutely gorgeous - we felt we had the best view on the Outer Banks! It's a huge house with lots of room for everyone. The furniture isn't the most comfortable and the floors are incredibly slick (way slicker than any hardwood I've ever been on). We all slipped numerous times...ha! So, bring some socks with rubber bottoms! ;) We will definitely be back! It's perfect for our family!
