NEW for the 2025 season, all carpeting has been replaced with new LVP throughout, and the second-level deck boards and railings have all been renewed. Offering 3,400 square feet and an oceanfront location, Off Duty is a place to relax and unwind. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, Off Duty is just a few steps from the water's edge. The ground level has good parking, a carport, covered entry, and access to the oceanfront pool with decking and furniture. The first-level game room has a pool table, a leather-furnished media corner with a TV, stereo, wet bar, full fridge, laundry nook, half bath, and deck access to the private hot tub and pool. On the second level, out of two oceanfront bedrooms, one is a main bedroom with a TV, deck access, and bath with tub/shower. The furnished den has oceanfront deck access, TV, and WiFi. Bedroom two has two singles, a TV, and is close to a full hall bath with a tub/shower combo. Bedroom three is an oceanfront main bed with deck access, a TV, and a bathroom with a shower. Bedroom four has a double, bunk beds, and a TV. The huge upstairs great room is a classic with tall ceilings, a gas fireplace, an extra-large TV, a stereo, and a half bath. Resort furnishings make for comfy living. The spacious deck includes deck furniture, a picnic table, and beautiful ocean views. The large kitchen has an island, stainless appliances, and ample dining with views of the ocean and Avon pier. The main bedroom five has deck access, a TV, and a full bath with a tub/shower combo. Right on the beach with beautiful views from almost every room. Furniture and mattresses could be updated but not a deal breaker. Awesome house overall.

We really loved having a house with such proximity to the beach as well as a pool and a hot tub. The house is well equipped with most of the needs for a family on vacation. We really enjoyed, in our downtime, to have TVs in the living areas and in the bedrooms so that everyone could enjoy their own programs. We hope to visit this house again soon.

The view of the ocean was the best I have ever seen . Will you eat see the ocean . When a storm came in great view. I know when I come back I'm going to request this place . Loved how there was plenty of space. My thinking is if you go away feeling unsatisfied it's not from the view of this place. Best place i have ever stayed at. And I have been going down with my family for 6 years And never had views like this place.

Had a great week the house was amazing in all aspects. The trail to the beach over the dune is ok, would be great if steps could be built like the public access. Definitely recommend this house for your OBX visit.

Off Duty is a great home for our fishing group. We bring 6-8 guys every year, and it is perfect location for everything. Improvements were made since our last stay in 2023, thanks for listening! Can’t wait to stay again in 2025!

Our first visit to Avon,NC and Off-Duty did not disappoint. Our only wish would have been to have the ability to heat the private pool. Couldn’t have asked for a better week.

Everyone loved the hot tub, pool, and easy, quick access to the beach for fishing and castle building! The kitchen was fully equipped but a Keurig coffee maker would have been an extra bonus :-). We appreciated having the linens provided. We will certainly put this house at the top of our list when we consider next year's vacation to the Outer Banks!

This was our first trip to OBX and we will definitely return! Off Duty was more than enough house for the three of us. It is very close to the pier and several restaurants are within walking distance. We so enjoyed walking to Roots & Leaves food truck by the pier for Cortados and donuts almost every morning. This beach front home features a pool and hot tub, smart tvs in every room, a pool table and several board games. The kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking and the living spaces open and comfortable. The first level also has a small kitchen with full size fridge and microwave for poolside lunches. We enjoyed sunrises and morning sun from the top deck and lounged the afternoons away by the pool. The house was very clean and beds comfy. Vacasa kept in constant communication with us, as we arrived in rain and high winds. They did a QA check upon our arrival and left clear departure instructions. We enjoyed Pangea for dinner a couple of times and highly recommend a trip to Buxton for apple uglies from Orange Blossom bakery! We were very happy with our stay and experience with Vacasa.

I loved the spaciousness of the top floor, the second floor's bedrooms with its own den, and the bottom floor for private entertainment as well as the easy access to the pool/hot tub.... Loved the fireplace best of all.

A really nice home to vacation at. All beds & furniture very comfortable. Only drawback is No info on how to use the various TV’s is the house. After 24 hrs. someone at Vacasa was finally able to help. For future use, I personally left the instructions on how to use main TV. Instructions would have been really helpful, otherwise a great stay. All the cookware & utensils were of good quality. Back next year!

Wonderful vacation home away from home! You can’t beat the view and waking up each morning to a beautiful sunrise on the Oceanfront! It was also close to stores and places to go out to as well. Great layout in this home. Loved the access to a bathroom and refrigerator for cold drinks on the first floor just off the pool deck! Nice new smarts tvs and comfortable furniture in this house. Kitchen was well equipped. Beautiful ocean views from the living room, dining room and kitchen. Plenty of outdoor furniture plus beach chairs and pool tools. Would definitely stay here again!

We totally enjoyed our stay at “Off Duty”. This property provided everything a large family could hope for on vacation. It also has a hint of rustic charm but superior accommodations. The pool area is superb with considerable privacy. The views from the upper decks are breathtaking. This vacation home is a catalyst for creating wonderful family memories that will last a lifetime!

This is our 2nd time at Off-Duty #10. We loved it so much we knew we wanted to stay again someday. The place has been upgraded a little, new flooring upstairs in the main gathering space. The house was super clean (impressive!) The pool and hottub clean and everything worked perfectly. The location is incredible, waking up to the ocean waves with coffee in the morning while setting on the top deck with your favorite people. My husband loves fishing from the pier and it's cool we can see him in the distance from the deck as he's fishing. The kids flew their kites, the surfers and board surfers were a blast to watch. The neighborhood street is small and quiet, the people of Avon welcoming and warm. We hope to be back again someday soon.

We happened to come into town the night before a nor’easter storm hit. There wasn’t much to do on the Island the week we stayed due to the storm, however the pool table and hot tub kept 3 teenage boys and us adults occupied! The winds were so high and severe with the national weather conditions that houses went into the ocean, however we had no issues. Simply just a little shaking that knocked a picture down that ended up breaking. The company immediately got back to us and even offered to come clean up the glass. Everything you need besides food is in the enormous space! You won’t regret renting this home!! It’s absolutely stunning views are worth it even during a nor’easter!!!

We had a wonderful time here!!! The house was well maintained and very clean at arrival!!!! The cleaning ladies were so nice and let us swim about back as we waited for them to finish! Thank had two families and had more than enough room!!! The hot tub and pool were amazing and well maintained !!!!! The view is one in a million.

We loved our stay at Off Duty! Beautiful views from every window, and the upper deck was where we spent every morning to watch the sun come up over the ocean. The pool was a huge hit, especially for the kids! Since the ocean in OBX is pretty rough, the pool was a nice way to stay cool and hang by the house when the kids were too tired to walk to beach. The house was very clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again!

We had an awesome vacation recently staying at Off Duty. We absolutely loved the location, the ocean view from the back deck, the pool, and the large kitchen and dining area. The house configuration was perfect for us and the house was in good condition. Plan to return next year, too.

Off Duty fit the bill for a week’s vacation with our children and grandchildren. The great location made this a perfect spot for watching fireworks off the pier. The house was comfortable and the pool was a super benefit.

This house had everything we needed to stay happy and relaxed for the whole week. The proximity to the beach was superb! The view of the ocean was unbeatable! Also the beach here was nice and wide! The pool and hot tub were huge attractions, even though the pool was unheated. The pool was a tad cool in May, but on the 75 degree days, it was just right. Having the hot tub to escape to was perfect. The house itself had lots of room. We didn’t even use some rooms. It was all very clean and comfortable. The finishes aren’t new by any means, but they were all functional. The dishwasher, for example, was a little beat up inside, but it worked like a charm. Shower heads and handles were a bit dated, but all working well. We’d definitely stay here again, as it suited our family of 5 well. Our kids were 6, 9, and 13. They all loved it here and want to come back.

From the deck you can see nothing but the ocean, and the hot tub and pool tucked into the natural sand dune are amazing. Steps from the beach and more bedrooms and bathrooms than you know what to do with. Perfect for multiple families or a group of friends.
