Right on the beach with beautiful views from almost every room. Furniture and mattresses could be updated but not a deal breaker. Awesome house overall.

We really loved having a house with such proximity to the beach as well as a pool and a hot tub. The house is well equipped with most of the needs for a family on vacation. We really enjoyed, in our downtime, to have TVs in the living areas and in the bedrooms so that everyone could enjoy their own programs. We hope to visit this house again soon.

The view of the ocean was the best I have ever seen . Will you eat see the ocean . When a storm came in great view. I know when I come back I'm going to request this place . Loved how there was plenty of space. My thinking is if you go away feeling unsatisfied it's not from the view of this place. Best place i have ever stayed at. And I have been going down with my family for 6 years And never had views like this place.

Had a great week the house was amazing in all aspects. The trail to the beach over the dune is ok, would be great if steps could be built like the public access. Definitely recommend this house for your OBX visit.

Off Duty is a great home for our fishing group. We bring 6-8 guys every year, and it is perfect location for everything. Improvements were made since our last stay in 2023, thanks for listening! Can’t wait to stay again in 2025!

Second time staying here and it was better than thef first time. Nice wide open floor plan with excellent views. New washer and dryer( last stay they didn’t work).. didn’t have much as far as pots ( wanted to make chili) stopped in at the office and they reimbursed us for the chili pot we had bought) great customer service.. There was some type or rodent running around in the walls ( could hear scratching ) but think that’s the case with most houses.. hot tub latch cover was broken but not a huge deal… all in all this place is great and will definitely stay here again.

We had everything we needed at this property- you couldn't beat the views and the hot tub and pool made this location top notch. We would recommend this house to anyone! Only things that could use a little improvement were the mattresses and the furniture, but those things were not a big deal with all the other positives this home offers.

Everyone loved the hot tub, pool, and easy, quick access to the beach for fishing and castle building! The kitchen was fully equipped but a Keurig coffee maker would have been an extra bonus :-). We appreciated having the linens provided. We will certainly put this house at the top of our list when we consider next year's vacation to the Outer Banks!

This was our first trip to OBX and we will definitely return! Off Duty was more than enough house for the three of us. It is very close to the pier and several restaurants are within walking distance. We so enjoyed walking to Roots & Leaves food truck by the pier for Cortados and donuts almost every morning. This beach front home features a pool and hot tub, smart tvs in every room, a pool table and several board games. The kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking and the living spaces open and comfortable. The first level also has a small kitchen with full size fridge and microwave for poolside lunches. We enjoyed sunrises and morning sun from the top deck and lounged the afternoons away by the pool. The house was very clean and beds comfy. Vacasa kept in constant communication with us, as we arrived in rain and high winds. They did a QA check upon our arrival and left clear departure instructions. We enjoyed Pangea for dinner a couple of times and highly recommend a trip to Buxton for apple uglies from Orange Blossom bakery! We were very happy with our stay and experience with Vacasa.

I loved the spaciousness of the top floor, the second floor's bedrooms with its own den, and the bottom floor for private entertainment as well as the easy access to the pool/hot tub.... Loved the fireplace best of all.

A really nice home to vacation at. All beds & furniture very comfortable. Only drawback is No info on how to use the various TV’s is the house. After 24 hrs. someone at Vacasa was finally able to help. For future use, I personally left the instructions on how to use main TV. Instructions would have been really helpful, otherwise a great stay. All the cookware & utensils were of good quality. Back next year!

Wonderful vacation home away from home! You can’t beat the view and waking up each morning to a beautiful sunrise on the Oceanfront! It was also close to stores and places to go out to as well. The pool area is superb with considerable privacy. The views from the upper decks are breathtaking. This vacation home is a catalyst for creating wonderful family memories that will last a lifetime!

Kitchen was well equipped. Beautiful ocean views from the living room, dining room and kitchen. Plenty of outdoor furniture plus beach chairs and pool tools. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was the perfect size for 10 of us. It wasn't cramped at all and I liked the layout. Being right on the beach AND having the pool was a plus. It was nice having a second refrigerator on the ground level whereas the kitchen and living area was on the top floor. If you have bad knees or elderly people, probably not the best fit. A dumbwaiter would have been nice with no elevator. There were an exponential amount of trips up and down the stairs. The two things I was not crazy about is the one towel and one wash cloth per person. At least 2-3 would have been nice. It made for a lot of laundry. The other issue I had was the coffee pot. It must be at least 20-30 years old, the base plate is completely rusted, and it took about 20 minutes to brew a pot. That's a long time when you have 8-10 people waiting for coffee in the morning. We really enjoyed the house overall. Next time, we will bring our own linen and our Keurig machine.

The house was super clean (impressive!) The pool and hottub clean and everything worked perfectly. The location is incredible, waking up to the ocean waves with coffee in the morning while setting on the top deck with your favorite people. My husband loves fishing from the pier and it's cool we can see him in the distance from the deck as he's fishing. The kids flew their kites, the surfers and board surfers were a blast to watch. The neighborhood street is small and quiet, the people of Avon welcoming and warm. We hope to be back again someday soon.

There wasn’t much to do on the Island the week we stayed due to the storm, however the pool table and hot tub kept 3 teenage boys and us adults occupied! The winds were so high and severe with the national weather conditions that houses went into the ocean, however we had no issues. Simply just a little shaking that knocked a picture down that ended up breaking. The company immediately got back to us and even offered to come clean up the glass. Everything you need besides food is in the enormous space! You won’t regret renting this home!! It’s absolutely stunning views are worth it even during a nor’easter!!!

We had a wonderful time here!!! The house was well maintained and very clean at arrival!!!! The cleaning ladies were so nice and let us swim about back as we waited for them to finish! Thank had two families and had more than enough room!!! The hot tub and pool were amazing and well maintained !!!!! The view is one in a million.

The pool was a huge hit, especially for the kids! Since the ocean in OBX is pretty rough, the pool was a nice way to stay cool and hang by the house when the kids were too tired to walk to beach. We loved the layout of the house, view was amazing. House is huge and very roomy, never felt crowded even with our large family. Rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. Beach was beautiful and not busy or crowded at all. The pathway to the beach was clear and not far from the house. The house was clean and well kept. Furniture was in good repair and very comfortable. Pool and hot tub were very nice and we loved them. First floor game room and fridge were a great addition. Kitchen was big and had everything we needed, loved the big refrigerator. Check in and check out were easy and we were kept informed on what we needed to do. Put in a request to have the pool light fixed online and someone was sent and fixed with within 12 hours. The house swayed a little at times which is probably Normal for a beach house. The shower water pressure was extremely low at times which was a problem. Top screen door would not close but we left the sliding glass door closed with the ac. I would recommend the app as everything was laid out there and easily accessible. We would 100% stay at this rental again and will refer our friends and family.

Off Duty fit the bill for a week’s vacation with our children and grandchildren. The great location made this a perfect spot for watching fireworks off the pier. The house was comfortable and the pool was a super benefit.

The house was incredible - great location just steps from the beach. Tastefully decorated and the pool and hot tub are great. Multiple levels for spreading out - only critique would be the coffee maker - it could be nicer.

From the deck you can see nothing but the ocean, and the hot tub and pool tucked into the natural sand dune are amazing. Steps from the beach and more bedrooms and bathrooms than you know what to do with. Perfect for multiple families or a group of friends.
