First off, we had an amazing week at this property. There are so many good features about it. The pool was an awesome way to break up the day. Beach access was so simple. The outdoor shower, amazing! The living space and decks were great as well with some nice views. This is a pet friendly property! Which is great, but you know it between smell and carpet stains. The home is a bit tired at this point and needs a lot of improvements, but none of that took away from the experience. The only things I would have wanted different was more comfortable beds (possibly kinds instead of queens!!) and a new couch or seating upstairs. We didn't have to deal with Hatteras Realty while on our trip. There site made it easy to search for homes and book. They were always very responsive with questions. We got lucky with an early check-in at 2pm rather than 5pm, which is awesome after a day of travel. All in all we had a nice trip and the house didn't take away from it, but I don't think I would book this house again. It could be an absolutely amazing home with some reinvestment.

Pictures are very deceiving - looks like they were taken when the house was newly sided, decks just built and furniture was new. Needs alot of updating and TLC. Unfortunately felt like we were staying in a run down frat house. Hope they take the time and care to fix it up, great location.

This was our third year at OurTanFannies. There are more things we love about the property than we dislike, but the things we dislike really need to be addressed. The furniture in the main living room area is horrendous. I understand the owners not wanting to invest in nice furniture because of pets, but the furniture there is destroyed and uncomfortable. My wife actually pulled her back out of whack sitting on it! Invest in a sofa and/or love seats of college dorm quality; I work at a college and know there is comfortable indestructible furniture that they can buy. We were very disappointed that the furniture from two years ago was still in the house. I would also recommend that a pet limitation be put on the house; only smaller dogs under 20 pounds; only dogs; and no more than 1 or 2 dogs. The upper side deck of the house (south end of the kitchen) had been blocked off by the previous renters by a lounge chair and was used as a doggie bathroom…there was a large pile of dog crap left on the deck after we arrived…disgusting! We let HR know and they offered to come clean it up, but I declined; I don’t like strangers in the house once my family moves in. We simply did without using the deck, but we appreciated HR’s willingness to help. On a positive note, we love the location, the pool, and especially the outdoor shower!!! Absolutely love the outdoor shower! Please do address the furniture situation. For the amount of money we spend, that needs to be better. Thank you.

This was our second year staying here. The house was as advertised and perfectly priced. The pool is a must and the house is close enough to see the ocean from the balcony or living area windows. We will be staying again next season.

We had a great stay at this beach spot. It was fantastic to be steps from the beach. Even closer than I anticipated. We also took full advantage of having the pool as well!

The house is outdated and need some work but overall a very decent house. We would definitely rent this house again! The view is amazing and we have nothing bad to say!

House was clean, a little dated but we weren't in it to much so that didn't really matter. Pool and hot tub were nice. Location was great! Within walking distance to the beach, a few restaurants and shops.

This home had everything we needed. The beds need an update but they were still comfortable enough to get a nights sleep & had fresh linens. The living room & kitchen room were great gathering spots for the family. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed. The hot tub holds a nice hot temp but the jets need some TLC. The location is on a cul de sac & very close to the beach.

Was as expected. The pool area was great hangout when beach weather was less desirable. Although not beach front, ocean views were delightful. Centurally located in Avon a plus. House is a little worn but comfortable. For the price and location any minor negatives were easily over looked. After all, we’re primarily there for the beach and water activities. Would def rent again.

We loved the pool, hot tub, and short walk to the beach. It's also very close to all the shopping you need and the pier. We were very happy with the place and will come back!
