We think because it's a pet friendly home some things don't get updated. Overall OK. We are renting again 2026. We have rented last 5 years.

Our family planned this vacation over a year ago and chose this home. It was an excellent choice, with large bedrooms— all had comfy king size beds (except bunkbed room) and private bathrooms. The area was away from the busy main part of the Outer Banks, offering us access to fishing, walking trails, the community pool and pickleball courts. The ocean/beach was just minutes away by the golf cart we rented. Food Lion and Ace hardware stores were even closer. The house backed up to a small lake. The house kitchen and dining room area created a cozy, relaxing environment for all 14 of us. Kitchen was large with an island, eating bar, 2 ovens and 2 dishwashers. Lots of room to prepare meals. We enjoyed watching movies in both the kitchen/living area and the theater room. The private pool and hot tub were particularly popular with the grandkids. We had 2 dogs with us and the local community area provided space for them to be walked. An added feature we appreciated was the elevator, which was used to transport our luggage and food items to various floors. Balconies on each floor gave great viewing for sunrises and sunsets. Our family went away with many lifelong memories!! Vacasa was great at responding to our texts and calls to address a couple of issues that arose during our stay

We loved staying in Avon, being much quieter than Duck and Corolla. We heated the pool and it was a big hit. Eight spacious rooms, all with on-suites, massive kitchen and eating area all on the 4th floor. Elevator was a nice surprise to get heavy things up the stairs. Theater room had easy access to connect for streaming. Would definitely return to this place.

The house is perfect for a family get together. We love that it is pet friendly, has an elevator, double refrigerators, ovens, washer/dryers and dish washers! There are a variety of rooms with decks and individual baths. Appreciated the baths with walk in showers but also tubs in others. We also love the quiet of the neighborhood, Kinnakeet Shores. Great for walking and biking but just behind or down the road from groceries and open off-season restaurants. It is a short walk or drive to the ocean or sound. We stayed for 2 weeks, this was our 2nd year!

This house was perfect for our family getaway! We had 5 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs, there was enough room for everyone to have their own private space. The kids loved the elevator a little too much lol and didn’t close the accordion doors inside which made the elevator stop working. I messaged vacasa and within an hour they had someone come out and fix it. Each time I messaged them they were extremely prompt and helpful. The views from the house go on for Miles!! The beds were comfortable, which is important to us, who doesn’t like their sleep. 😊 the theater room lacked some entertainment, no dvds to play, thank goodness one of the kids took a break from gaming and allowed us to borrow their gaming station to watch movies. This was a beautiful home and we throughly enjoyed our week at the home. So many memories were made. We found a private beach access down the road with amazing sunset views

This house was perfect for large families. Each room had its own private bathroom. Linens and Towels were supplied. The Kitchen was well equipped. The theatre room was huge bonus. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and the view was unbeatable. I would highly recommend this house.

Our 4th stay at this home. Everything wonderful (only problem was a broken mixer, but we grabbed one at ACE Hardware). Couldn’t have been happier.

House was the perfect place for our group. We enjoyed the many decks, large kitchen and movie theater room (bring your own blue ray movies). Everything including the elevator was in good working order. Double dishwashers, ovens and refrigerators came in handier than we would have thought! Was so nice to walk in and have beds made, towels in each room, paper products, starter cleaning supplies and a good assortment of pans and dishes. We laughed about the number of wine, champagne and margarita glasses stocked! Enjoyed our stay and will be back next year!

The 360• views at this home are spectacular. Amenities were cherished as bonus points and used by all. The elevator was a fantastic asset especially moving in and then out. The furnishings were comfortable and king size bedding made each family couple feel exquisite accommodations. A true gem with EVERYTHING you need at your fingertips. Each summer we try to get the family together for a week or two. In past years, we have vacationed at the Jersey Shore. But due to school and work obligations and the fact that our five grandsons are growing, locating a residence that would fit our needs provided difficult. Our youngest grandson is a senior in high school and all five average 6’2” or better. Our Niece has been spending her vacations on the Outer Banks and suggested we give it a try. This is our second year at the Sun Princess in Avon, NC and again all I can say is that everything went well. In fact we have scheduled the same house and same weeks for next year. The Sun Princes is a very well equipped home with an excellent location in the heart of Avon, NC. Dealing with Vacasa, located right there in Avon, has always be a pleasure. They are attentive to the needs of the summer visitor. Great house, well equipped, and an excellent location, could not be better for a two week family vaction.

Had a great week at OBX, the house was a great find. The pool/hot tub - both were very clean, the pool area was a nice sized area, lots of seating. Media room seating does need some attention, couple of the chairs need replaced, but overall, a good room, media worked easily. Bedrooms-very nice oversized king beds. Bathrooms were clean & decent supply of towels. Kitchen was well supplied with dishes/glasses, pots/pans...we had everything we needed/wanted. Nice views from the balconies with seating on all. The elevator worked !!! - which was a very big asset. Only a couple minute drive to the beach, we used ramp #38 where you can drive on the beach (to the right). Definitely need to air down, and AWD/4X4.

This beautiful home well surpassed our expectations resulting in the most relaxing vacation we've had to date! We simply loved our stay & made us want to come back. From the creatively, themed bedrooms to the comfortable beds/linens, kitchen hand towels, sample bar soap, shampoo & dishwashing soap to the fully stocked kitchen, every detail was well thought out. The outdoor shower, pool and hot tub was the best way to end a long day at the beach, sound or after a bike ride. We enjoyed the pool table, movie theater, played puzzles and even painted with the arts and crafts supplies available for use. Beyond terrific! The only downside was the pokie cling-ons in the grass & mosquitoes. If you wear flip clips, you're fine, but dogs got covered which was humbug requiring us to walk a distance to find grass then pick the pokies off after every walk. Not much you can do about either of these "downsides", but pack bug spray & itchy cream. Lastly, Vacasa made checkin/out very easy. House was clean, we received prompt responses and they were a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend this home to another renter. This home looks like it's for sale so hoping the new owners will continue to rent in the future!

Our Dad rents a house for us yearly (been doing this for over 20yrs when my Mom started the tradition). My Sister and her family, Brother and his family and Me and my family all enjoyed spending a lot of quality time with each other in this spacious house. Large kitchen and dining area allowed for eating together every night and playing games there as well. The pool was an added bonus for many. Overall, we really enjoyed this house. Great 4th level main living space allowed for ~300 degree water views of beach, lighthouse, and sound with awesome sunrises and sunsets.

Plenty of space for 8 adults and 5 kids. Unobstructed views of the sunset over the sound. Short drive to the beach and the grocery store. Pool and movie theater were huge hits with the kids. Avon is a nice town a little further down the island for a quieter, less busy week.

This is the best handicap accessible home we’ve ever stayed in! The elevator goes all the way to the ground & the accessible bedroom has bars in the shower & by the toilet as well as a sink you can roll under. The house is beautiful with wonderful views and all of the bedrooms were very nice. I am the primary renters daughter T *******.

We LOVE this house! We have stayed here 2 years in a row and we were looking to book a 3rd year but the weeks are already taken. I miss the days when you had priority to book before the house was available to the public. Those days seem to be long gone. The house has everything you need and more. Wonderful house and owner.

Every vacation home has some nits, but this place exceeded our expectations overall with great home flow, supplies, amenities and overall quality. Home is large and private. The large pond - views were beautiful from upper decks and great for paddle boarding. Struck out fishing the pond on paddleboard but was fun trying. Community sound access close by. Nice loop hike using sound beach, access points and boardwalk over marsh on this end of neighborhood. Theatre room was incredible. Pool table, pool and hot tub great too. Elevator worked well and really was a must for some in our family. For some, the distance to ocean will be an issue, but I was surprised how well you can hear the ocean so far over...amplified by winds and large pond. And sunsets right from top floor of home. Huge window looking out on sound in kitchen with large granite ledge above sink....among best kitchens ever on vacation.

Loved the elevator, handicap shower on 3rd floor and easy access to pool. I use a cane & could not do all those stairs. It is a beautiful place with good water views morning noon and night!
