AVKS313 Carolina Beach Retreat #13-3

My family and friends had a great stay. The house is well equipped for when you want/need to hang out inside (wow lots of big TVs) and the decks, hot tub, and close beach access made enjoying the outdoors easy. We also got to go play pickle ball at the community courts. the owners have made upgrades to the furniture and WiFi coverage since our last stay, and we will definitely be back.

I was a little nervous about this house as I read the reviews after booking. I was pleasantly surprised, the house was perfect for our needs. The carpets are a little dirty, but that is to be expected and did not affect our stay. Great proximity to the beach. Pool table could use new pool cues and some chalk (If you advertise a pool table - it should be playable)

The rooms were spacious. We had a total of 14 people, and we all felt that there was plenty of space. We will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Carolina Beach Retreat! The beach house has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing beach getaway. Location is perfect - just a short stroll to the beach and close to great local spots for groceries and dining. The cottage is equipped with large TVs throughout, which was great for the rainy day and movie nights. Having a pool, hot tub and tons of outdoor seating with great views allowed for multiple families to be very satisfied. We can’t wait to come back next year! Highly recommended for a beach vacation.

My wife and I hosted our adult children for a long weekend in this beautiful beach house. We had such a great time. The house was perfect for our stay. It was large enough to accommodate essentially 3 families (my wife and I, our daughter and her family, and our son and his wife). The house was clean and well appointed with everything we needed in the kitchen for our meals. I loved the 2 dishwashers, I need that at home. The pool looked nice but it was too cold for us to use it. The hot tub got plenty of use though. All in all it’s a great house in a great location. Close to the grocery store and a few restaurants. If we return to Avon next year I will try and book the same place again! Thanks so much for a wonderful mini vacation.

This place was such a lovely beach house! The common spaces on the top and bottom floors are cozy, and all of the bedrooms are nice and comfortable. One of my favorite parts about this place was how close it was to a public beach access, so close you could actually see the ocean from the top deck! Overall, it was a very clean and well maintained place.

The upper floor has a large comfortable living space with a HUGE TV, seating for everyone and a fully functional kitchen with two dish washers! (Goals) The decks on every level have great views and the Wi-Fi in the house reaches everywhere from the upper deck to the pool area. (Looks like they have a newer mesh system installed) The bedrooms on the middle floor were all spacious and comfortable. The bottom floor is a great hangout area. The hot tub was so comfortable and relaxing! The house was clean and tidy. It’s right across from the beach access which was awesome. There’s a staple of the outer banks Duck Donuts practically across the street. There’s a great place called Outer Banks Boil Company, where you can get to-go seafood boils. It was perfect for us to have a seafood boil at the house and eat it at the picnic table on the third deck. There’s also a great local coffee shop/bagel place up the street, but the house has Keurig and coffee maker that work great. There’s games, books and puzzles and movies if you’re not at the beach the whole time as well. 10/10 will be bringing the whole family back here!

This home is amazing! There is plenty of room for people to come together AND separate. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. There are plenty of bathrooms. We loved the hot tub. The beach is just across the street. We didn't get to use the pool but I can see how that would enhance a summer stay. The kids loved the first floor, which was great for the adults who hung out on the top floor. The decks are great. I have no complaints about this place and will happily come back.

Just a couple bullet points; Great seating space living Rm/Rec Rm Nice size pool and hot tub Huge dining Rm table (10-12) Well stocked kitchen, 2 dwashers Largest lving rm TV ever Huge outdoor shower Had baby gates, pack and play, high chair +++ Great poolside and upper deck seating Excellent view of the ocean, with beach access one house away. Thank you so much for a fantastic vacation, we would love to go back to this house again next year.

TV is wonderful. Lots of seatting and space. Kitchen worked well, good layout of house and decks have stairs from ground up outside. Pool is bigger than most, 5 ft deep on one end. Luggage lift outside was a nice surprise. Overall clean, short walk to multiple beach entrances.

We always stay in Avon when visiting OBX. We would definitely stay here again. This house was a very short walk from the beach (about 2 minutes) and the beach access was very close. The pool, hot tub, and pool table were hits with all of our older kids. We had 3 families staying together and "kids" ranged in age from 15-23. There was plenty of room for all of us. The television in the living room was amazing - I'm not sure how big it was, but we all loved it! We appreciated the large dining table that could accommodate 10 people at a time. There was plenty of furniture in the living room and basement/game room areas for several people to congregate at one time. There are a few things the owner should consider that would be beneficial for future guests: - The pool area needs maintained. The plastic furniture is broken and not usable. It should be removed or replaced. There are weeds growing through the sidewalks/concrete around the pool. Old pool toys can be replaced or disposed of. - There were very few garbage cans in the house, including none downstairs in the game room area, which also has an extra fridge, sink, laundry area, etc. - There was only one dish towel at the house. We purchased additional ones at a local store to leave for the next guests. - The owner should discuss cleanliness issues with the property management company. The house was not cleaned well prior to our arrival, but this an issue for Vacasa. The owner should ensure a deep clean is done at least once per year - carpet and floor scrubbing, scouring walls, cabinets, fixtures, ceiling fans, etc. It didn't appear a good deep cleaning had been done in quite some time. Overall, this was a great place to stay and we took care of the cleanliness issues and other "inconveniences" on our own while we were there. If we book this property again, we will bring items that the house didn't provide (dust pan, small trash cans, larger mixing bowls and food storage containers, dish towels, etc.) These are minor inconveniences, which did not impact our overall experience at the property.

Big house for our large group of 3 families. Easy access to beach for back and forth through the day. Big pool, hottub, outdoor shower. Could use some upgrades to make a 5 star review: cleanliness of bathrooms, stained shower curtains, broken dishwasher, full outdoor trash bins. They were quick to have maintenance fix dishwasher but there was no communication back that they were coming.

My family enjoyed staying in Carolina Beach Retreat #13-3. The walk to the beach was much closer and easier than I expected.

Location location location!!! Its one of the best and near to everything - Food Lion, Restaurants, Avon Fishing Pier, Ferry etc. rooms are pretty decent as well. And view from top facing the ocean is too good. We had a great time during memorial day weekend stay. Only issue we faced was water logging in 2 of the 6 bathrooms and hopefully they going to look into it. I will rebook this again without a doubt.

We rented this home for a quick getaway for spring break. There were 9 of us, and the house was incredibly spacious. The kitchen was stocked very well, although it could use a new coffee pot. The outlet in the main floor bathroom didn't work, but other than that we enjoyed everything about this home.

The house is fantastic. Dated, but great for kids when you don't have to worry about messing anything up. It’s also very spacious and accommodated our 4 families comfortably. It’s directly across the street from the ocean, and very close to a grocery store, coffee shop and some restaurants. However, Vacasa is really hard to get in contact with if you are having issues. The air conditioning didn’t work the entire time we were there (it was blowing heat instead of cold air). We reached out the first day we were there, but no one ever came to fix it. The outdoor temperature was comfortable the first few days we were there, but on our last day we came back to the inside temperature being 92°. We were miserable and had to stay outdoors the whole day. I would definitely stay here again if Vacasa would do a better job at managing their properties, but all they give you is an 800 number to call and it’s usually someone foreign promising you you get with the correct person to solve the issue, but they don’t.

We rented this location for an elopement weekend, housing all our guests and cooking all our meals on site. Very well-stocked kitchen: cooking utensils, large pots/pans, crock pot, plenty of silverware. The two dishwashers were used FREQUENTLY. Only downside is the beds in the bunk bed room - really for kids only, not adult bodies. So take that into consideration.

This was not our first time in the house we love this house very disappointed that the luggage lift wasn’t working at all called for maintenance but wasn’t fixed before leaving it’s one of the reasons I booked this house However the house has all you need really and the views are great the house has a lot of space love two dishwashers for our large group sad the owners are selling hopefully the new owners keep it as a rental

We typically stay oceanfront, but pickins were slim this year. We found Carolina Beach Retreat and it checked off ALL of our boxes, except for being oceanfront. Has 2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators, pool and many other options. Even though it is semi-oceanfront it still has an awesome view of the ocean. Would stay here again for sure!
