It was a wonderful house with great amenities! Enjoyed the pool, theater room, pool table. It was great having almost all king beds. The only feedback I have is that there were some much needed kitchen needs. additional forks, tupperware, bottle opener, kitchen mitts, pot holder, dish towel, etc

The house and location were great. Set back in a quiet neighborhood. We had our dog with us and the neighborhood was great to walk her and I loved that it had spots with poop bag dispensers. There are multiple entertaining spaces which made it great for our different age range of family members to either be together or have space to do their own thing. We did have a plumbing issue with a clog shower drain in two showers (clogged with sand which I get with it being a beach house) but the management was very receptive and had a worker over within a few hours. I would recommend and will definitely be looking to return in the future.

I have been renting at OBX for over 20 years and have probably been in a dozen different houses. Pelican’s Pad is very near the top! The pool and the cabana with a refrigerator were very nice. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. High recommended!

This cottage is AMAZING! Absolutely beautiful, very roomy. We loved how the majority of the rooms had their own bathrooms. The elevator was a plus for us.

The house is big enough for our group, but some areas need maintenance. Kids spent lots of time swimming in the pool. Great location, tons of restaurants and shops nearby.

The home was huge and provided lots of space to move around. The house has some wear from being lived in, cabinets and drawers are a bit rough, dishwashers are pretty old, but work fine, but all in all it’s a completely fine house. The area is beautiful and bike-rides every night were our favorite. The subdivision is very beautiful. The large pond out back didn’t provide great fishing, never got any bites, but it was fun to watch the turtles, frogs, and ducks.

Enjoyed the size, perfect amount for my family of 13. Was able to cook a thanksgiving dinner there without any issues. Plenty of seating. Beds were comfortable. Vacasa was responsive to our needs.

Rating the Pelican’s Pad with 5 stars for meeting all our reasons for booking it: beautiful home, bedrooms/baths, living/kitchen area, elevator from parking level, accessibility, handicap friendly bathroom, seclusion, privacy, views, very nice pool, multiple beautiful decks. Great new floors throughout, dog friendly. We did have some issues but Vacasa was prompt and helpful. Cleanliness was in our opinion not matching the quality of the home. The kitchen could have better ware. But we had a wonderful vacation, spent here 2 weeks. The location is also great, close to the pier, restaurants, shops, sound pathway, you could even walk to the community pool. For a lake location, we were pleased with the absence of bugs. Thank you!

House was very clean and as advertised. Plenty of room to hang with the family and get away if you needed some me time. Close to food lion and restaurants. Just a heads up did have an issue with the elevator but probably our fault with a heavy load. Any issues with elevator just reset the breaker . Box in laundry room.

The house is a perfect dog-friendly family getaway. It is on a cul-de-sac street, so bike riding is safe for kids. The pool, hot tub and two kayaks on the lake entertained all.

We really enjoyed the spacious house and the amenities like the salt water pool and jacuzzi. Having refrigerators on all the floors was great! Loved the views of sunrise and sunset! We had an amazing time!

We had a wonderful relaxing vacation. The house was set up perfectly for the 16 of us. Plenty of room for everyone. The kayaks were great as was the pool. The extra refrigerators were wonderful to have. Easy access to the beach. We would definitely book this house again.

Beautiful home that offered plenty of space and activities. Fire pit was a bonus, kayaks were great to have! Elevator was super convenient and kitchen was stocked with dishes, pots, pans and utensils! Location was good too!!

This home had so many things to do we had trouble doing everything during the week we stayed. The pool was awesome and in great shape. There’s a little cabana beside the pool where we had a Lowcountry seafood boil. Loved watching the wildlife on the lake every day. So much room for everyone in this house and a 15 minute walk to the beach. I’ve never stayed in Avon until this trip and it was so nice and close to the grocery store and cool shopping. We rented surfboards for the week from Hatteras board sports. It’s just a great home and it’s huge and it’s in a beautiful area. A few little things could use some TLC but otherwise it was great.

This house was perfect. It was a great size to hold15 people. It was clean, roomy and had everything you needed. It is a bright house with all the windows and right across the road to the beach. But the location of the house gives you privacy without being in the middle of the Outer banks crowds. We all had a great time celebrating my moms 80th birthday. We brought in a caterer to cook a seafood dinner for us. He also had a big kitchen to work in with everything he needed. and the elevator was a big plus.

The kitchen had enough stuff to cook every night. The elevator was great for groceries and taking stuff to and from the car. The pool was the best! Right across from Avon pier to access the beach. Everyone loved the house!
