AVLE59 Four Winds 59

The original house we were booked was unavailable due to delayed construction. Unfortunately we were only made aware 2 days before check-in. We were able to transfer the reservation to a different house in the same area and were satisfied with the new house. The only negatives were the hot tub was not available and we didn't have hot water for one night due to a frozen water line. Maintenance was able to unfreeze the line early the next morning, so no big deal. We were satisfied overall with Hatteras Realty and would not hesitate to use in the future.

Shower in the bedroom across from the bunk beds only gets lukewarm.
Our stay was pleasant. We'll come back.

Nice ocean front home. Upon arrival at 5pm, door code was wrong but support managed the send me the wright code after their hours of operations. Appreciated the welcome kit. The spa was non functional. Hatteras Realty managed the quick fix next day. Only 2 glasses of wine and had one sink towel. Left side sliding screen porch door needs to be replaced. I would definitely be back!

Home was spacious, air vents looked like there was mold in them, distance to the beach was much further than what the photos showed. Quiet location.

The homes location was great, I'm 70 years young and had no problem walking through the dunes to the beach. Beds and pillows were comfortable, really nice that each bedroom had it's own bathroom. Furniture was dated but not bad. Great views from upper level and super view in the upper viewing level. This house was one of the cleanest homes I've rented at OBX in the last 15 years. Pool was nice but when I reserved the house it said it was solar heated, that changed at some point, i would have never rented this home had I known they had disconnected the solar heat to the pool.i wish I had been notified when that changed. So that was disappointing. If you are a family that likes to cook while at the beach, like mine is, this may not be the house for you. The oven does not preheat as it should and the oven loses heat while baking. Also bring your own knives as the ones there are not sharp. Was the first time I rented through Vacasa, but I was happy with them. We didn't have a usable frying pan and they got us one and brought it to us! Thank you Vacasa.. I've tried to be fair and give a truthful review. Everything was not perfect but we rented at a fair price, and overall we had a great vacation with the family.

We loved this house from when we got there. It was big and roomy. The upstairs tower was the best because you could see both the sound and the ocean views. The living room had a huge sofa and tv and the deck on that floor was awesome for watching the waves. The pool was the best and we went in everyday. It was a tad bit chilly on the windy days but warmed up throughout the week. We liked the showers in the bathroom on the bottom floor main bedroom. It had a lot of room and was clean. We did see palmetto bugs on our porch at night. We had 2 get in the house but other than that we didnt have any issues with bugs inside. The kitchen had a lot of items and was stocked but bring your own steamer if you are making seafood. We had to make do with what was there and it wasn't easy to steam shrimp. Having two fridges was great. Lots of storage spaces. The washer shook on regular do I had to use the express setting. Dryer worked well. It was great having laundry lines to hang stuff up. Overall this was the nicest, biggest house we've stayed in and we would stay again. The dunes to the beach are not easy to walk up and down so if you have limited mobility please be aware.

This house was perfect for a group of eight. It does appear that the old problems of mold/mildew have been taken care of and there have been some apparent upgrades. Overall we really liked this house and would definitely come back.

Great property, we had a party of 8, had plenty of room. Everyone loved having their own bathroom! Great views, walk to the beach a bit of a hike but it's worth it!

This was a wonderful mid-week winter getaway. We enjoyed hearing the waves and bird watching. Great location front row behind dunes. The hot tub was a lovely spot to drink wine after a day of sightseeing. The house was supplied with basic cooking utensils and plenty of crockery. Only one teaspoon, though! The cupboards were bare of any condiments and supplies so bring your own, all the way from foil and plastic wrap to spices and trash bags. Lots of small appliances - 2 blenders, coffee pots, toaster. Lots of baking stuff - muffin pans, cake pans, cookie sheets, mixing bowls, and measuring cups. Lots of utensils, knives and cutting boards. House was spotless. Couldn't figure out the fireplace, which we would have enjoyed on the cool evenings. The listing mentioned beach stuff -- one small bucket and some discarded toys. Again, bring your own. TV in the main bedroom didn't work. Wall paper in the main bathroom is peeling from every seam. Hopefully it will get some love soon! Overall, a good rental in a great location.

We spent a very nice Thanksgiving week at Four Winds. The house is well furnished with comfortable furniture and everything you need in the kitchen. I liked the en suite bathrooms in every bedroom. (Loved the shower!) Easy, private path to the beach. Gorgeous views from the deck, whether it's sunrises over the ocean or sunsets over the Sound. (Rose before dawn to catch the sunrise over the Atlantic. Worth it.) All in all, a relaxing week in the Outer Banks. A nice change of pace and a welcome change of scenery.

We loved the location of the home and the view from the great room. Deck was awesome and well furnished and maintained. Hot tub was great! Home was clean and updated. We enjoyed having the amount of bathrooms. Master shower was awesome! Great water pressure and two shower heads were great!

The house was very nice with lots of space. There were seven of us and it never felt crowded. The location was great and not crowded as well. The walk to the beach is about an eighth of a mile but it was worth it. The pool could use some TLC and the WiFi was slow but we would definitely come back

What a wonderful week we just spent at Four Winds! Having a pool was important to us this year so this house delivered. Three generations fit quite nicely in the layout of the rooms! The half-bath on main level was a big bonus!! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our fish dinner from the day’s catch! Watching the waves from the hot tub was where we enjoyed our afternoons! Our family rated this house a 9.8 outta 10 and we plan on booking for next year!

The house was very clean and many features were recently replaced (stairs to front door, appliances, drywall). Nicely furnished and lots of space. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and had nice showers. Hot tub and pool both working and well maintained. There were a few reviews from 2023 that said the house smelled of mold and needed many repairs, but everything was fixed/replaced and there was no smell or any problems with infrastructure. Please give this house a chance; you won’t regret it. We would rent again. Please note: the dunes crossover is pretty steep, so consider this if you are bringing any infirm or disabled guests. It was fine for us and the beach is gorgeous!

House was nice with every bedroom having their own bathroom. Had a few minor issues but Vacasa was very quick to respond! The walk to the beach was a little difficult due to steep dunes and length of trail. If not for that I would've given 5 stars. : )

Great access to the beach, nice rooms and cleaner than last year. Kitchen utensils are a tad beat so don't expect too much there.

We really enjoyed staying here. Ample space in living room and dining area for 5 adults and a teenager. Bedrooms were neat and king sized beds were great. Good water pressure in showers. We loved the hot tub on the upper deck. Sliding doors to upper deck did not lock but there was no access except from house. We made Vacasa aware and work order put in Day 2. Only glitch seemed to be working tv- you need to keep the lightswitch next to the tv in the on position in order for tv/direct tv box to work. It took us awhile to figure it out but in the meantime someone came out promptly to check on it. Any issue we had Vacasa quickly returned texts and followed through with making sure issue resolved.

We loved Four Winds 59 - the house had everything we needed for out first vacation in Outer Banks. It is right on the beach with ocean view from the second floor deck and ocean and sound views from the observation tower. The house is very spacious, each bedroom has its own bathroom, kitchen is large and has updated stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The pool is large with heated water - well maintained and clean. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of supplies provided by Vacasa: liquid and bar soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, paper towel and plenty of toilet paper. Some minor issues that we reported to Vacasa on arrival were also addressed promptly to our satisfaction. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this house and Vacasa management company!

The pool was great for the kids. Everything was in disrepair: tiles missing from the pool; refrigerator door handle missing entirely; new stove range couldn't be regulated low enough; sofa in living room had padding coming out the back. Seems that no one loves this home!
