On the first level, bedroom one is a master suite with a king-size bed, a private bathroom, and access to a screened porch with a hot tub and a hammock. Bedroom two has a king-size bed as well, while bedroom three has twin beds. Retreat to the sound-front den with a TV/DVD player, an Xbox, a Wii system, and a queen-size sofabed. Endless glass ensures stardom for the second-level great room, offering tall ceilings, an entertainment center, a computer, and an expansive, furnished sound-front sundeck. Demanding chefs and hungry guests will thrive in the all-equipped granite kitchen with a breakfast bar and a custom dining table. Fall in love with the stylishly furnished living area with a gas fireplace, an entertainment system, as well as a fax machine, a computer, and a printer. Worth the cost and all services were great. The property itself needs help. Stained carpet, kitchen wall tile needs to be cleaned, WiFi was not great, very outdated appearance and appliances/tv’s.

The location of this house on the sound is amazing. Great seating on the deck over looking the Pamlico Sound with great views of sunsets every night. The house provided a paddle board and 4 kayaks. We swam, kayaked, and paddled boarded every day. Sheets and bath towels were provided; bring beach towels. Everyone said their beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. The big kitchen table was nice for eating together and playing games at night. This house is very roomy. This was our second time staying at Devon's Landing; we would love to go back!

Clean spacious and all around nicely set up to welcome guest. we defiantly look forward to booking Devens Landing again. We have stayed in several homes from the sound front to ocean front, Devens offers the most relaxing stay.

Very confortable home, fees are very much expensive for what we get. Been there for a long time. Fees where 35.00 at that time (2013) and now will be 861.27 (2026). Ouch ! but that house is very confortable. If you plane a trip for windsurfing It's good to know that the dock for entering the water has changed. It's no longer wide steps. But a small pool ladder. Not as easy, let's say. Have a nice stay

We really appreciated the cleanliness and good maintenance of the house. The kitchen was also well equipped. The location was perfect for windsurfing. The only downside and exception to what was previously mentioned is that one of the bedrooms smelled strongly of mildew. Since it was just my partner and me, we did not use that room and kept it closed.

Close to Beach Access Ramps 38 and 43, it's perfect for enjoying the Atlantic Ocean beach. The supermarket is also nearby, and dinners while watching the sunset over the sea were exceptional, even on the East Coast.

We love being on the Sound because you can be so close to the water and do fishing and catching of critters. This is the best place for interesting crabs and other water animals that we have ever stayed. The house was nice; the whirlpool tub in the master bath was awesome. But there is something wrong with the back yard, like a lot of the sand has washed away and it is not safe to walk on. My daughter just stepped in the yard and a little sink hole opened up and her foot dropped down a couple feet. If that had been me with my osteoporosis it would have broken my ankle. There is a mound of sand in the driveway, so I assume they are planning to fix it, but we never saw any workers. Also, the refrigerator wouldn't cool right; the temperature control knob was missing. We had to throw out a lot of the groceries we bought the first day. They did send somebody to fix it when we called, but nobody got back with us to tell us that it was fixed or ask if everything was OK. I guess that is what happens when you rent from a corporation, maybe they are less likely to worry about communicating with you. We stay in a lot of Airbnb's at places other than the beach, and the host is usually more communicative.

We've been coming to the OBX for almost thirty years and it's been on our bucket list for many years to take a winter vacation at the beach. Devon's Landing was the perfect house and location for our winter escape. The views and sunsets from the great room deck were amazing! In fact, they were so nice that we decided to get takeout instead of going out to dinner! Why mess with perfection! We had 8 people in our party: 5 adults and 3 children under 10 and we were all comfortable and never felt too crowded. On cold mornings and evenings, the gas fireplace was a wonderful touch and made the spacious great room feel toasty and cozy. The house has a great location and is close to the shopping plaza with Food Lion. Though many restaurants and stores are closed in the winter, we found enough that were open for what we needed. Oceana's Bistro is an excellent restaurant, Island Bakery had tempting and delicious treats, and Island Spice and Wine was a great place to get something special to take home as well as to buy our favorite Hatteras Blend coffee. The house is just a short drive from Avon Pier. There are many parking spaces, but we were usually the only car in their lot. Having beach access so nearby to where we were staying, made it easy for us to go for walks along the ocean. We were able to visit Hatteras Lighthouse and walk on the beach there too while our granddaughters and their parents enjoyed the museum and pretty much had the place to themselves, We saw lots of wildlife both on the ocean side and the sound and very few people. Pelicans were frequently perched a few houses away and we often saw them fly over our deck. We had different weather every day during our vacation and the hot tub was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. If it had been warmer, or if we had wet suits, it would have been fun to use the kayaks that are available with this house... but, during our February stay, it was much too chilly for trying those. The house is well stocked with games and puzzles and things to do on rainy days. It was clean and well suited for our needs. We needed help with the fireplace when we first arrived (since the gas had been turned off) and the rental and maintenance staff were very fast in responding. We were a little concerned by the lack of a powder room, but we just made sure our master bath was available for our family to use when everyone was on the upper level and it was never an issue. Our only suggestions would be for the owner to get some dinnerware (and especially coffee mugs) that don't get too hot to touch when microwaved, some dish towels for guests to use, and a new oven mitt. All these are very minor things and ones we were able to work around while we were there. If anyone in your group needs to get some work done while you're away, the upper level master bedroom has the most incredible office space! It would be the perfect spot to get some writing done or for make some calls. And, you certainly won't be missing out on any views while you're doing so! We definitely recommend this house to others and would stay here again ourselves.
