Description

Reach for Beach Stars for your next family vacation. This is an oceanfront home in Avon with four bedrooms on its lower level. The first two bedrooms each have queen beds, deck access, TVs, and share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. The third and fourth bedrooms each have twin beds, TVs, and they share a hall bathroom. Upstairs, the great room has a TV, deck access, a full kitchen, and a dining area for the whole family, plus a half bath. Don't forget to bring your four-legged family member to enjoy the vacation. You'll have easy access to the beach via a sand path and an outside shower to rinse off under after a busy beach day. Take advantage of the fish cleaning station to prepare today's fresh catch. Turn off the deck lights at the end of your day and catch up with old friends while looking up into the night sky while enjoying this great family vacation home. Things to know: You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement. Please note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on the weather.

First and foremost the view is awesome. It is oceanfront but if you have any elderly family members, it should be noted there are two kinda steep hills over the dunes to get to the ocean. I didn’t mind but my dad did. The home is impossible to keep sand out of but I felt like it should be sand-free when we arrive at least - the couch in there was laden with sand and dog hair. The carpet in the living room also had sand. I spent a portion of every single day sweeping and/or vacuuming. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable. There are no fans in the bedrooms (except for one). Some of the light switches don’t work. It’s just like very obviously old and while I appreciate we found somewhere to stay I was very frustrated by the company’s standard for cleanliness and I probably won’t stay in a Vacasa property again. It’s central to everything in Avon so that made things easy. The outdoor shower was nice and the hot tub was a great amenity.

Location is great. Last house on a dead end low traffic street. Walking distance to just about anything you need including Avon Pier. My group surf fished every day and caught fish every day. From croaker,mullet, to Spanish and blues. We saw dolphins several days from the beach. Good ocean view from the top deck, a few feet higher and we could’ve saw the waves crashing. Dune path is narrow for a cart if you use one. All in all it was a great trip!

The Avon Vacasa crew blew me away with their outstanding service! The ac was not working properly when we arrived and i reached out to them and Jenny went above and beyond to ensure that we got proper ac in record time! Everyone I spoke with at Vacasa was amazing. I will also say that the house and location were amazing! This was honestly the best vacation that we have ever had.

Even though the weather stunk we still had a wonderful time. Time away with my favorite people is always a great time. The view was spectacular and the beach is peaceful (even on a stormy day).

We had 6 adults and 2 children and 2 dogs and had a great stay. The upstairs living area/ kitchen was awesome for everyone to gather. The balcony was nice for looking at the ocean. The A/C worked great. It was a decent hike over the dune to get to the beach, which wasn’t too bad. The problem was that the mosquitoes were horrible on the walk over the dune. Definitely bring bug spray. This could also just have been because of the rain prior to our visit. Not the houses fault. The house is in a less touristy area, which I loved, but there were still plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops within walking distance. Our older dog didn’t love all the stairs, but loved the sights and sounds of the beach. Everyone loved the refreshingly cool ocean waves and great sandy beach. The hot tub was nice as well. I would definitely recommend this property because of its location and cleanliness even though a few updates could definitely be done. Don’t be afraid to book this house. Perfect for a beach vacation.

The views were absolutely breathtaking. I enjoyed my coffee every morning on the deck. The walk over the dunes were completely normal for the outer banks. The main issue with this home is related to vacasa. They do not hold their cleaning staff accountable. When we arrived the home was incredibly dirty! They were very responsive to my complaint and willing to send people out but nobody wants strangers in their house cleaning after you arrive. I would rather arrive to a clean home. Be prepared for lots of pet hair!!

My family and I reserved this beach house to reconnect over the New Year holiday. We loved how comfortable it was! The two decks offer stunning views of the ocean. We loved watching the dolphins (or porpoises?) play every morning. Great space for our family to unwind (without stepping on each other.) highly recommend!

The house exceeded expectations. We loved the view of the beach from the upper deck and the hot tub was very nice. Easy access to the beach but you will need to expect a climb over the dunes. The only complaint we had was out of VACASA's control and that was tropical storm Ophelia. Our last night there the wind blew so hard the house was swaying back and forth to the point the water in the toilet was sloshing back and forth and the rain came down so hard that it leaked through the top of the glass pane doors on the top deck and leaked down into the downstairs bedrooms. We notified VACASA and I assume they made repairs after we left; but I can't hold them responsible for that. It was definitely an experience and we can say we rode out a tropical storm on the Outer Banks. I would definitely stay there again.

Location and beach access was awesome. Trail needs to be manicured. Perfect size. Didn’t like that Primary room shared a jack n jill bath. View was fabulous. Loved the outdoor Shower but there were vines starting to creep into shower area that need trimmed. Two dining chairs had broke legs and wine fridge didn’t work. Kitchen well stocked with basics.

Everything was exactly as described! The view was outstanding from the top floor and deck. The hot tub and rooms on the lower floor were perfect. We absolutely loved the short walk over the dunes to the beach. Beautiful shells, few people (we were early in the season) and great fun for our dog. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need -- very thoughtful. We enjoyed the boardgames as well. We really loved this home and felt so rested and refreshed after our stay. You walk in...take in the view...and your stress just melts away. 100% would book again in a heartbeat. We did have some issues which might have been the downside of not having local personalized instructions in the home. The dishwasher left us with dirtier dishes than when we loaded it (detergent did not dissolve and coated the dishes like sand) so we did all the dishes by hand (including the full load of "clean" dishes that was in the dishwasher when we arrived). We couldn't get the cable to work -- we could see the menu but could not select any channels etc. The wifi went out for our last day (resetting the router did not help). We couldn't figure out what to do with the top bar that holds the cover down on the hot tub so we just propped it up -- but there must be a better way? These are all just minor things and not worth having someone come out to the house to fix...particularly when compared to the view, the beach, and the easy access to stores and restaurants. It is a perfect home!

Can’t beat the location- oceanfront, quiet dead end street, 1 mile to food lion, walking distance to a few restaurants. Drove to The Inn at Pamlico Sound for an excellent dinner. Housekeeping with regards to floors, beds, bathrooms was good . House does need some general upkeep - outside shower heads need to be replaced , one downstairs toilet runs unless you set the stopper after each flush, dryer takes a long time , broken curtain rod in one bedroom. Remember your beach chairs . Location makes up for a lot! Loved being oceanfront.

Beach design with upstairs open floorplan on the top and four bedrooms below. Old unit that is well kept with modern upgrades where necessary. Easy- clean engineered flooring throughout both levels. Two zone heating/cooling. All of the kitchen utensils you could ever need. Coffee machine is a hybrid Keurig/large pot variety. A private narrow trail over two sets of dunes is a pretty walk to the beach with beautiful scenery. For someone with mobility issues the trek can be quite a challenge. Luckily less than two doors down there is a public beach access with steps and a handrail. The ocean waves are visible from the upstairs deck which is a perfect place to relax and watch the surf while sitting on new Adirondack style chairs. The downstairs deck, with the hot tub, is blocked by the massive dune.

The views from the balcony were awesome! Easy access to the pristine private beach! Close proximity to restaurants and stores. Would have rated it 5 stars if the house was cleaner and we were supplied with adequate towels and wash cloths for our party of 8. The beach gear was old, rusted and broken.

The view of the ocean and proximity to the beach made Beach Stars one of our favorite houses to ever have rented in OBX. I deducted one star because the pathway over the dunes needs to be pruned pretty badly. Other than that, this house was perfect for our family of 4 and our Labrador.

Truly enjoyed this place. Had everything you needed in the kitchen. Only had 2 rolls of toilet paper for 5 people, called and they brought more right away. Very quiet and private beach. My only complaint is upon arrival you could visibly see how dirty the floors were and dog hair visible under the furniture.
