BX460 Hatteras Station

Positives: Large spacious home with multiple on-suite bathrooms. Conveniently located to local grocery store and only 5 miles from a Food Lion. Conveniently located to Hatteras Lighthouse (currently under renovation.) Negative: Significant renovations on the surrounding houses make the area a construction zone. More basic attention to things like burned out lights. My daughter is low vision so this was particularly a problem for us. HVAC is apparently an issue as there are multiple window units and a technician had to visit during our stay. The pool light doesn’t work. The refrigerator looks bad and the ice maker doesn’t dispense ice. I’m not up on the rental market in Cape Hatteras so I can’t say that I could have got a better house for less money and I may be shocked to learn what a fully renovated house would cost so I’ll just assume I got good value for my money.

Actions we’re taking: - Construction: while we can’t control neighboring renovations, we will contact nearby contractors to remind them of quiet-hour expectations and will update the listing to note ongoing nearby projects so future guests aren’t surprised. - Lighting: our maintenance team will perform a full lighting check and replace burned-out bulbs and install brighter/accessible options in key areas to help guests with low vision. - HVAC: we had a technician attend during your stay and will schedule a follow-up inspection to service or replace any window units as needed and evaluate longer-term solutions. - Pool light: we’ve scheduled pool electrical service to repair/replace the pool light. - Refrigerator/ice maker: maintenance will clean, test, and repair the refrigerator and ice maker; if it can’t be reliably repaired, we will replace it. The location and home itself was terrific. Very spacious. Quick walk out to the beach. We had an issue with the hot tub not working forctge firstv4 days however, it was fixed and we were compensated. Pool sticks were broken and was quickly fixed for us. We definitely will be renting the home again!

Our stay started off a little rocky hot tub was not working and no tips on pools sticks so for about 4 days no hot tub. It rook a few calls to get it right. Gentlemen, that came out and fixed hot tub was great. Tips were fixed. After everything was done, we had great time here and we were compensated, for the 4 days, with no hot tub, so excellent service thereafter. Excellent location. We enjoyed our time. We will be rebooking for next year.

Spacious enough for 12 people with plenty of room ! House and amenities were clean and everything worked perfectly during our stay. Super short walk to the beach and great views . Would book again .

We were at the house for 4 nights and it was just amazing! Great house, little outdated, but clean and neat! The pool was great, the jacuzzi was great as well! We have no complaints at all, but couple of little stuff. The balconies are very old with a lot of rusted nails all around, so make sure to wear shoes. There are no beach towels and no umbrellas or beach chairs, so make sure to bring your own. The beach is like a minute walk and it’s like a private one. The only people there and the ones from the houses around! We will definitely go back there next year!

It was great. The problems we had were taken care of. It took some time but they compensated us . The house had plenty of dishes , glasses silverware. I did bring more pots but I cook big meals . It does take 24 hrs for the fridge to cool. But there is a foodlion 10 mins away. And the beach is less than a 3 min walk from the house. I will definitely be back !

We loved the little touches games,movies, and ton of dishes. It was clean and less than 3 mins from the beach as described. The pool and hot tub were excellent. The only issue we had was smoke alarm needed to be replaced and it setting off all of them luckily this did not happen a night . Also the dishwasher broke. The major issue with both of these things was the multiple days and calls it took to get someone to come out . The service people were kind and apologetic. But warning if anything goes wrong after 5 pm it will not be taken care of. So lucky for us we could disconnect the smoke alarm as it kept going off loudly. Than after they replaced it for the next 3 hours it the whole house would go off. VACASA DID MAKE IT RIGHT by us .
