Description

Build a beautiful resort village on a favorite Hatteras Island location, and they will come! The Cottages at the Cape are the closest rental units to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in Buxton. They share a long border with the national park and are literally steps from the beachfront. Bring the bikes, because Buxton's unique shops, restaurants, and lighthouse are all very close. Forget the 4WD vehicle - those in the know have discovered that the three jetties east of the cottages produce some of the best fishing, surfing, and swimming on this island. Walking to the south will take you to open beaches, the famed Cape Point, and if luck is on your side during the summer, a few sea turtle nests (be careful to stay outside the barriers). The interior has been professionally decorated with comfortable and fun beach décor. You'll have access to an outside shower and a patio. An escape to the cape never looked so good as at Cottages at the Cape. Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool located in Avon at the Hatteras realty office

Had a great week at this house. The beach to right of the house was open this year. It was closed when we were at the house last year. The point was closed due to bird nesting which was disappointing but only the National park service can make decisions on that. We would definitely stay in this house again or another in the same community. We loved being able to see and hear the waves from the house.

We have stayed in this area two years in a row and love it. This house was nice because of the location to the beach. It had everything we needed for our week there. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!!

Amazing home and location. Very clean and comfortable. I loved everything about this house from the amenities, comfortable bedrooms and living areas and the view of the ocean from almost every room. Also appreciated all the games, books, puzzles and cornhole boards. Made our stay extra fun.

Waited too long to book an oceanfront cottage but this place was just across the street…could see the ocean and hear the waves no problem….not bad at all for waiting to the last minute to book for the Thanksgiving holiday!

Loved the view of the beach from the screened in porch. House was beautiful and very comfortable. Definitely will be back for a visit.

The house is in a great location just a few yards from the beach. the screened in porch is nice. We didn't get to use it much because of the hot weather. Plenty of storage on the bottom floor for all the beach and fishing stuff which we bring alot of. We have been coming to OBX for over 30 years and this is the first time we rented a townhouse with one other unit attached and everything went really well. We definitely would rent again.

We loved the location and it was perfect size for us. We cooked because we don’t eat out the whole time. The amenities for that were good.

We enjoyed our stay and the short walk to the beach. The house was clean and rooms set up well. The kitchen was lacking a few key items for cooking, but we made due with what was there. The non-stick pans were actually not wrecked by previous guests which is a rarity in rental homes. I wished there was a fish cleaning station outside which is pretty much standard issue at every house in OBX. All the homes around were clean and well kept, neighbors were quiet and friendly. We would certainly keep this house in as a potential to stay at again in the future.

This was our second time staying in the cottages at the Cape, first time in Conch. The home was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed the ocean views and sounds from the screened in porch during meals and in the mornings with coffee. The only complaint is the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Looking forward to trying another townhouse in the future!

This is our second time staying at one of the homes in this development. They offer a great view of the lighthouse and a relatively easy commute to the beach. It’s a nice quiet neighborhood that is well kept. This house was clean and obviously had some major updates recently (floors, lighting, counter tops). I lit appeared a previous guest removed numerous lightbulbs throughout the house. The dryer also appeared to have been tampered with and wasn’t functioning right. Maintenance responded quickly and addressed these concerns when we reported them. We will be staying again

We had a wonderfull time at the Conch. Location is just perfect, a nice view at the ocean and just steps away from a wonderfull beach. The place is clean, fill with sunlight, recently decorated (Beach style), 2 patios (one with the ocean view). The outdoor shower was a big plus. The service with Vacasa is also very good. The only criticism: two of the three mattresses are not very comfortable. But beside that we loved our stay! you will not be disappointed with this property.
