It was interesting at best. This was the area where houses were falling into the ocean due to Erin and a nor'easter. Definitely an different vacation than planned, but still good. The people in Buxton were friendly and helpful.

Nice house and neighborhood. We love the area but the hurricane did cause alot of damage in the area and its sad. We had two feet of water on our street. The beach was unusable. We went to the point for all of our swimming and fishing and its only a 7 minute drive. All of the local businesses and restaurants and nice and friendly. Even with the issues we plan to return next year and hope they get the area cleaned up.

We got there a few weeks after hurricane Erin. The area is being damaged from storms and the local beach is unusable. The roof leaked downstairs during a bad storm. The main street flooded with 2 feet of water. It's a shame because you can tell it used to be a paradise. We made the short trip to the point for all of our beach and fishing needs and enjoyed all the local dining. Even with all the troubles we plan to return next year and hope they get the area cleaned up.

Great location, house was clean and well-appointed, beds were comfortable and it was an easy walk to the beach. We stayed Friday-Monday so it was hard finding a place during peak season that did not require seven day minimum stay. We will be back.

This house really does have the perfect layout for our family! There are so many different areas to hang out in that you can choose to be with others or by yourself, and it is lovely to have the ability to view the beach from the house!

I loved the location!! The covered car parks allowed me to take the doors and roof off my Jeep and leave them off the whole time. Stores and restaurants are super close so you can walk to.

This house is great! There is something for everyone. It is a minute walk to the beach, or you can go on the top deck and see the waves OR you can sit in the hammock on the side porch OR cook a lovely meal in the kitchen OR even watch the TV. It allows us to have really nice family time but not be on top of each other like a hotel typically is. Truly enjoyed the location and the stay!

TV in every bedroom is nice, washer/dryer and dishwasher is nice. Short walk to the beach and even Dillion’s Corner. We love Buxton and all the Outer Banks has to offer! Thanks 😊

There were some issues when we first arrived at the house but after talking with management, all of our problems were addressed and fixed. This house was the base camp for our outer banks surf fishing trip, It held all 6 of us perfectly. Large parking area under the house for 4 cars. The location is awesome, only a 30 second walk to the beach and is in close proximity to a convenience store as well as a few restaurants. I would not hesitate to book this place again. Thanks again to IG and his team!

The location was great and the cottage was very comfortable and pretty well furnished. The kitchen could use more/better cooking utensils. We would definitely stay again.

Wow. The location of this place alone is a major selling point! It is about five houses away from the beach so we could walk down and play whenever we wanted. You had a great view of the beach from multiple places in the house and could see sunrise, sunset, and even Hatteras Light at night if you stood at the right place on the upper deck. The setup was perfect for my family - big enough that we could technically all do something in a separate space (if we wanted) and small enough that it was still cozy. Our kids (7 and 3) loved sharing the bunk bed room and we stayed in the room right next to them while my parents had the lower level. Would highly recommend!!

The booking process was seamless. The Property Management company called the day after check–in to confirm that we found everything in good working order. The property is a few houses down from the beach with water views from the porch and the expansive raised patio. Perfect for our family getaway!

We really liked the amount of living space. especially out on the top deck. the walk to the beach is short. The screens on the lower deck porch need to be repaired as of this post (11-1-19).

This was our favorite vacation yet! The property manager made the check-in/out process not only painless but enjoyable, and responses to questions or issues was prompt and friendly. What a wonderful and relaxing place to bring your family. There is something here for everyone, except the hustle and bustle of commercial vacationing - which is what we loved the most.
