BXDPE101 The Jetty Cottage

This was our family’s first stay in the area. The place allowed for our family to get together for an extended holiday weekend and enjoy the sights, smells, and sounds of the beach. The Airbnb was easy to find and the place was well kept. Information regarding the stay and accommodations was provided well before checking in. I highly recommend staying here for a visit to what Buxton, NC has to offer.

Clean pool, hot tub, and jacuzzi! Loved having King size beds in all but one bedroom. Plenty of bathrooms too. Kitchen was well stocked. Great pool area very nice layout! Overall great place to stay for a large family who wants to have a vacation together. Highly recommended!

We had the most memorable family vacation this week probably one of my most favorites! We loved being on this sweet little Island surrounded by some beautiful animals. We got to see horses, frogs, lizards, armadillos, turtles, deers, and lots of dogs. We loved the beach, the ocean, the hot tub and cornhole. We had delicious food at Angelo’s and Orange Blossom for breakfast. My family enjoyed a day out in the bay kayaking, and most importantly we all enjoyed relaxing together. We will definitely be back.

We were having a family reunion at a neighbors house. This house was used for bedrooms and two breakfast’s. There was only one couple the first and last nights. The rest of the nights there was nine adults. When we made breakfast, we used the grilled and toaster. When they were connected on the wall behind the sink they tripped the breaker. The guest book told us were to find the breaker box. The house was very clean. It was cold so we played pool inside. The pool table was was in a tight space. But it was fun anyway. We didn’t use either the pool or hot tub because of the cold weather.h

We loved the setting but who would not - goodness IT IS THE BEACH!!! The “Jetty Cottage” was beautifully decorated with a full bathroom for each of the five large bedrooms. The top floor was like a “world unto itself” with a balcony that overlooked the ocean from many angles, a sunken tub plus a shower - all very spacious. In this space was a rocking chair and a toddler bed as well. A perfect floor for an entire young family. In the basement, there are three bedrooms beautifully furnished with full baths plus a pool table and frig that supplied hours of fun for the younger crew!!!! The kitchen was completely stocked with a dining room that supplied countless hours of board game fun! Lastly, the POOL —- how breath taking is that backyard with the pool, the grill, a space for a game of corn hole and chairs galore. The “Jetty Cottage” was a dream come true for our family. We waited for years to rent such a beautiful home like this in the Outer Banks —- it did not disappoint even for this time of year. A bonus - the friendly neighbors from Maryland who live close to the lake. The lake by the way is stocked with turtles and fish. This supplied many moments of Fun for grand babies as they fed them. Our experience was another one for the “books”! Such fabulous memories made with our little family to last us through the year until the next time we are making our way back to the Outer Banks - next SUMMER!

Kitchen was nice, well appointed. Every room has a bathroom. TVs weren’t great. Pool is awesome. No complaints from anyone about the bed mattresses. Great location/quiet street.

We loved the location and the over all house. However there were some things that could be changed to make the stay better as much as it costs. Tv in the living room glitched the whole time. Kitchen table leg was about to fall off. So you have to be careful not to move the table. When it rains there is no where to sit outside without getting wet. No gutters to prevent you from getting drenched trying to get in the home. Pool table area is way to small. No way to play without hitting the wall. Which sucked. Couldn’t enjoy the pool because it was ice cold after the pool guy came and added water. So couldn’t get in it. Such nice warm weather but couldn’t get in the pool. Thy also made me a little upset. Bother than those few things. House was great.

Great location for walking or driving. Quiet neighborhood. Although we had wonderful weather the house would have kept us busy if we had to stay indoors as the pool table and some games kids could play. Plenty of space to spread out if traveling with different families. We did have trouble with some pool heat we requested but was able to get a refund when they found out it wasn’t working properly as we were the first ones to request heat in a while. We went into the Vacasa building near by and the lady we spoke with was kind and understanding of our issue. Would book again.

Everything went well overall. The house needs some TLC as far as these items go: Must add more blankets. Blender didn’t work. Fridge drawer. Tiki torches didn’t work.No biggie. Front porch needs more deck furniture. Pool, hot tub, basketball, we’re great! Beds were comfortable enough. Overall great trip, great house, a bit too pricey however. The pool, Fridge drawer broken.

We have stayed at the Jetty Cottage twice and location, space and experience has never disappointed. Very close to the beach, awesome neighbors and spacious rooms. We loved our vacation in the Outer Banks including the Jetty Cottage. The size was great for our family, including extended family that came along with us. Loved the pool and hot tub and the proximity to the beach/ocean. The house is on the lower part of the Outer Banks so it is much more quiet and relaxed. We will definitely be returning to this spot!

This house was amazing. We had problems with the code first night but staff was right there to help. So close to the beach. The kids loved being able walk to town for a pizza. We loved being able to walk the dog on the beach. It was great. Thank you for a great vacation!!!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Jetty Cottage. The house has everything you could need for an extended stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, rooms cozy and the pool area is spectacular. Our only issues came with check in and check out, due to conflicting information provided, but our questions were promptly answered. I would highly recommend staying at Jetty Cottage!!

The property was immaculate upon entering the home. The layout was perfect with different age groups involved. Our 11 month old granddaughter went down for naps without being disrupted by the rest of the family. More than enough living space for our family without being on top of one another. The high ceilings made the feel of the home more spacious. The pool was a welcoming surprise for everyone. Our 8 year old granddaughter alsolutely loved the pool. Two days were total pool days and being from New Jersey that says a lot because we are "ocean people." Everything you needed was provided by this owner, everything. A well stocked kitchen with any device you could think of. Extra blankets, top of the line washer and dryer that most households don't even have at home. The walk to the beach is a breeze with a wagon to help with the load. If we return to the Outer Banks, we will definitely stay here again.

By far the best place to go if you're traveling with multiple families / couples. The 5 master bedrooms were absolutely amazing - everyone had their own space with bathrooms etc (even though I'm pretty sure we all used the outdoor shower more times than not! The pool and hot tub were key especially on the cloudy / rainy days when we didn't want to drive out onto the beach. Ramps 43 and 44 are super close by. The pool table kept the kids entertained. The kitchen - good lord the kitchen! You literally need to pack NOTHING! It is fully stocked with any and all gadgets and gizmos you could imagine! Super short walk to beach access if you are not getting an ORV permit. The stocked pond is right around the corner for some fresh water fishing. All in all the house was clean, welcoming and AMAZING.

Originally when I booked last summer there was a room in the upper master bedroom with a crib and I was disappointed to find out the door was locked. Luckily I contacted the realty company and they brought a pack a play to the house although this would have been nice if it were communicated. Also the owners changed from the time I had reserved to the time of our stay, which I felt would have been nice if it were communicated. Overall the house was perfect and all of our guests had a fantastic time!

We didn’t purchase the travel insurance so we asked what our options were, we were told that we could move the booking dates to 2021 and everything turned out great! We had an awesome time.

The house was in a great location with a view of the ocean and the Cape Hatteras lighthouse. The beach is only a short walk. Each bedroom has a bathroom, so that is also a plus. The pool area is nice with a lot of seating. Several restaurants are just a short drive. It is a great vacation house.

We had a nice stay at Brock and April’s place. We were two families and there was more than enough room for everyone. The kids had an amazing time in the pool - even on the 45 degree days! The heated pool is well worth it! Note that the check out process is pretty involved and you have be out by 9am on the dot.

House was well equipped for our early spring vacation, and the heated pool being available early was a great touch. Brock and April`s house was awesome. There were so many bedrooms, each spacious and with their own bathroom and TV. The outdoor space was beautiful, hot tub was perfect for a cold evening and we loved watching the waves from the top deck. Couldn’t be happier! We stayed for Thanksgiving and I was skeptical about the “fully stocked kitchen” because vacation rentals are usually light on cooking supplies and/or what is there is usually poor quality, but this property is the exception. We had everything we needed for a full on Thanksgiving spread.

Crib, pack and play, high chair, rocking chair, kid friendly kitchen items, twin bed for a small child in the same room as mom/dad, etc. I only wish we came in the summer so we were able to enjoy the pool! The beach is a short walk away and there's a great view of the lighthouse right out the window! The owner was very communicative, friendly, accommodating and answered any questions we had promptly during our stay. Our daughter left her stuffed animal behind and the owner mailed it back to us, no questions asked. We are so appreciative and will definitely be back in the future for a longer trip! Thank you!

This home is wonderful! All bedrooms have the most comfortable beds! The bathrooms in each bedroom room were great since we had multiple families staying together. The kitchen is well stocked and has a plenty of space. Our children made the most of the pool and hot tub, and the pool table gave us all something fun to do inside when we weren't in the water. This home is wonderful! All bedrooms have the most comfortable beds! The bathrooms in each bedroom room were great since we had multiple families staying together. The kitchen is well stocked and has a plenty of space. Our children made the most of the pool and hot tub, and the pool table gave us all something fun to do inside when we weren`t in the water. Easy, close access to the beach, the lighthouse, & restaurants...even a skate park nearby! The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Everyone enjoyed it so much, we are planning on returning annually!

This house was perfect for our family group, with a wonderful pool and deck, and 5 bedrooms with 5 en suite bathrooms. The house is a short stroll to the beach, has a lovely pool & a great view of the lighthouse. It is in a neighborhood with a stocked pond & the little ones really enjoyed the daily outing to feed the turtles there. The house is well-equipped, but all toiletries, toilet paper, paper towels, condiments, spices etc must be brought with you. The top floor bedroom has the child's bed and a crib, which was perfect for 2 of the grandkids and their parents. All the beds were quite comfortable. We would choose to stay here again.

The property was very well kept. The house was very clean. Bed rooms were very comfortable. Having a bath room in every bedroom was very nice. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, cups, bowls, coffee makers etc. and everything you could possibly need. The pool area was very enjoyable. It was very nice to have a pool table we really enjoyed it. The pool table needed to be leveled off and the room was just a little tight but we enjoyed it all the same. We were very thankful for such a fabulous home and would definitely stay there again.

The house was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could hope for. The beach was an easy walk away...about 3 blocks. It was very nice to be able to walk home from the beach and shower off in the outdoor shower, with warm water. The pool was wonderful and the umbrellas gave us nice shade in the afternoon. We didn't have the pool heaters turned on and the pool water was plenty warm in July. We cooked every meal at home and the kitchen was well stocked with all the pots, pans, measuring cups, etc that we needed. Would highly recommend this rental home.

We live in the Washington DC area and we weren’t sure that we wanted to drive that extra hour past Nags Head but we were really drawn to the photos of the house and how beautiful it looked and after reading all the 5 star reviews we knew had to go. The house was exactly how it looked in the photos. It was beautifully decorated; the color scheme was very pleasing and it was just a short walk to the beach. Jessica was an amazing host. We had a 6 hour drive so we left early to beat traffic. Since we had our 2 dogs with us, Jessica was kind enough to let us stay in the backyard and hang out by the pool until the house was ready. That was a huge favor for us since we weren’t familiar with the area after the long car ride, the dogs really needed a space to run around. During the week, Jessica checked in with us to see if we needed anything. The house had everything we needed so we were fortunate that we didn’t have to ask Jessica for anymore favors. The house was very clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with all the cooking utensils and small appliances that you would ever need. They did not skimp on the large appliances either. The dishwasher cleaned the dishes really well and the washer and dryer made me envious that I didn’t have them for my own home. The backyard and pool was so nicely furnished and pretty that we spent a lot of time out there. We had more than enough space for the 9 of us - mostly grown children and teens. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and it was perfect. The beds were very comfortable and each room was beautifully decorated. This was the first time that we did not go through a rental agency to rent a home in the Outer Banks. I felt that the service was on a much more personal level and that Jessica and her family took a lot of pride in the appearance and care of their home. Because of the house, its proximity to the beach and Jessica’s personal touch, we had the best and most relaxed vacation we’ve had in a long time. Buxton is our new favorite place and we hope to have the opportunity to stay at the Jetty Cottage again.

We loved jetty cottage. Very neat, beautifully decorated with the largest and nicest outdoor furniture of any vacation home we have encountered. The pool was clean and while we elected to heat it I think most people would have been fine at this time of year without the heat. We just like it extra warm! Hot tub was nice too. The rooms were perfect and the steps in the home were minimal compared to most very tall houses in the area! It was very easy to get groceries and souvenirs within less than a mile. We had peek a boo views of the ocean and a great view of the lighthouse. I was surprised by the wonderful breeze and I was able to sit outside on the shaded deck and have coffee and read while others slept in. En-suite bathrooms in 5 bedrooms and each with a TV made it easy to have privacy and time out which is important with multi family sharing a home for a week! I would definitely recommend jetty cottage and the Buxton area which seems more authentic OBX than some of the busier touristy towns to the north. Jessica was absolutely wonderful to meet and answered every text I had prior to our visit. She obviously wants to provide the best experience for her guests. Thank you Jessica!

We loved the Jetty Cottage! The kitchen is BY FAR the most well-stocked vacation house we've ever rented! My husband and I, and our 4 adult children and their spouses enjoyed the house and the pool very much. Everyone had their own bathroom, which was really really nice. We took turns cooking dinner and everyone really enjoyed all the amenities in the kitchen as well as the grill! The washer and dryer are huge and really nice. That came in very handy for clothes and towels. Our family had two children, a 6 year old and a 5 month old. The high chair and crib was really helpful. And the placement of the crib, quiet upstairs helped when we were up late laughing it up. One bad thing is the upstairs bedroom also had a little daybed which would have been good for our 6 year old grandson, but he was with his parents downstairs. The baby belonged to the couple sleeping upstairs. Anyway, we needed an extension cord for the baby monitor and I texted Jessica and she brought it over before bedtime. Very nice of her. The Pool was awesome and it was a lot of fun. Just the right size and the amount of chairs out by the pool was very much appreciated! The neighbors seem to be locals, and were very nice. Two things to make sure people know about this house. There are a lot of steps! You enter the house on the lower level, three bedrooms on the lowest level. Then a flight up to the kitchen, living room and another bedroom. Then top level is the master suite with daybed and crib. From the kitchen, you walk down steps to the pool. There is a slider into one of the bedrooms on the lowest level, but to get to the other bedrooms on the lower level, you need to walk up the steps to the kitchen, then walk down the steps to the other bedrooms. That was kind of a pain, especially for older folks. It would have been better to have the slider into the billiard room on the lowest level. But that was really the only bad thing about this house!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about our home. Just to confirm for anyone looking to book for 2020, we are adding a door from the game room to the pool deck. Also, most vacation homes have the great room and kitchen on the 3rd top floor which makes for ALOT of stairs, but ours is actually on the mid-level 2nd floor making it a lot more manageable actually :) We put the day bed in the top floor master because it has the room for it. We do have a queen sized sofa sleeper in the first floor game room, right outside one of the bedrooms there for anyone needing extra sleeping capacity near a bedroom. Thank you for choosing Jetty Cottage. We truly care about each guest and have tried very hard to provide the best amenities :)

Jetty Cottage is clean and adorable!! It is a little hike to the beach, but there is a beach cart at the house.

Thank you staying at Jetty Cottage! For potential guests reading this, we do provide a heavy duty beach cart to make carrying items to and from the beach a little easier. In no other review has anyone referred to it as a "hike" though, I'm sorry. I wouldn't want that to deter anyone as you don't have to cross highway 12 like some other oceanside locations and the neighborhood is very quaint. ALSO! The park service is building a parking area at the end of the road with easy beach access and even a wheelchair accessible rubber walkway. For the guests I've been so lucky to meet at our store, they tell me that once they hit our pool area, they never want to leave so the beach is an after-thought :)

The kitchen is incredibly well stocked - we made a complete Thanksgiving dinner with ease! The bedrooms are comfy, each with their own bath and TV with excellent channel selection and DVD player. Master suite upstairs is perfect for anyone traveling with kiddos 2 and under. Pack&play, high chair and crib make for easy accommodations for your little one. The decks and balconies are perfect for fresh air and decent beach views from afar. The pool area was wonderfully stocked with chairs and loungers, though it was too cool for us to enjoy in late November. Only used the hot tub once but it was wonderful. The pool table and rec room downstairs were very entertaining for all of us! We are excited to come back in the summer months when we can enjoy the beach, the pool and the grill! The owner has seen to every detail and the care given to the home is evident. I would recommend to anyone staying with large groups or longer than 2-3 days to pick up extra TP, paper towels, garbage bags, hand soap and detergent. We did fine with the number of towels we had for winter - but summer guests will want to bring beach towels and extra bath towels. Excellent stay!

The owners were very helpful when we had some technical issues at the house, and Jessica was always ready to answer text messages and phone calls. We would highly recommend this house!

The Jetty Cottage set up was absolutely perfect for our four families. It had everything one could possibly need-including a pack and play, crib and high chair. Every room has its own bathroom which really maximized the privacy for each family. The pool was amazing and there was plenty of seating and lounge chairs for our group to relax. The beach is just a few short minute walk. Despite record breaking rainfall in 30 years, we managed to still have the best time because there was so much to do in the house itself. One unexpected surprise was the snapping turtles in the little catch and release pond around the corner from the house. It was truly an amazing experience. Jessica the owner was always accessible and quickly responded to any questions we had. She has an adorable store nearby at Coastal Cottage Outfitters which has the best gifts, souvenirs and home decor. I’ve stayed in several houses through VRBO, and this definitely ranks among the best!

We had a wonderful time staying at The Jetty Cottage. It was beautiful and clean inside and located just a short walking distance from the beach. The new pool that was put in, along with the outdoor furniture is perfect! (Wish it had been warmer so we could take advantage of the pool! ) But we were able to sit outside and relax by the pool often. Appreciate that you allow pets to come along on vacation. Would definitely like to come back and stay again!

This house was fantastic! There were so many rooms that we never felt crowded at all. Plus the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. And the fact that every bedroom had its own bathroom was phenomenal. The location was great, about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Will definitely be returning and excited for the pool in 2018!

This home was perfect for our last minute stay. The rooms are very comfortable and amazing. Three separate floors of living space. We were able to separate our families enough so the kids didn't wake others up. Kitchen was very well stocked with pots/pans/itensils/glassware etc. Bring your own knives if you want something sharp, maybe? :) There are multiple coffee makers - Kuerig, press and regular. Also, multiple blenders, mixers, choppers and crockpots! A previous review mentioned the neoghbor's yard. Yes, the home could be considered a little un-sightly compared to the many beautiful rentals surrounding it. However, the owners and their kids are extremely nice and personable! We actually enjoyed our convos with the locals very much. In fact, not being immersed in the tourist scene was very refreshing. Besides, major touristy stuff is not far at all. There are plenty of amenities nearby. Beach access was very cozy and private compared to most. On checkout day, we decided to extend our 'stay' in the area longer. Jesssica recommended we use our access to the Koru Beach Club for amenities after checkout, and that's just what we did! Perfect for showers, a bite to eat, pool access, etc. It was a very nice bonus! We had a fantastic time and we'll definitely try to come back.

The Perry family are consciencous owners and were just a phone call away and responded quickly to our inquiries. Location is about a block from the ocean beach and a bonus turtle pond a short distance away. Buxton is five miles from Avon that has a modern grocery store. Frisco and Hatteras close to Buxton offer more lovely beaches and shopping. Cape Hatteras Light House, a few miles from the house, was fun to visit. I highly recommend a visit to Cape Point and the recently formed Shell Island. Drive into Hatteras and take the free ferry to Ocracoke Island and enjoy a special day. Another beautiful beach, lovely town with lots of great food and clubs. Take time to go through the neighborhoods and chat with the locals. We rented a golf cart but bikes and scooters are available also. Viewed a beautiful sunset on the return ferry ride. The home base of Jetty Cottage made daily outings enjoyable and returning to it to relax in the hot tub pure joy.

Our family had such a lovely week staying at Jetty Cottage! We wanted a house for our entire immediate family to comfortably vacation together in... enough common areas for group socializing, cooking/eating, playing games, etc... while still having reasonable personal relaxation space. This fit the bill perfectly and was incredibly homey. Each bedroom has a comfy king with private bathroom, the shared spaces are inviting (including ample decks and seating outside), and the kitchen is fully stocked with cooking implements. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk away. It would have been nice to have a private pool in the backyard... but I know that's being installed for next season! Access passes to a lovely beach club 5 minutes drive north were included with our stay; we all enjoyed ourselves at the pool, tiki bar, and fitness center there. We also very much appreciated the owner's quick responsiveness when a couple of minor things popped up during the week. They really care about the house and their guests' needs and comforts, and it shows. We highly recommend Jetty Cottage! Thank you again, Perry family! <3 <3 <3

This vacation rental was a breath of fresh air. Beautifully decorated bedrooms and baths with a coastal beachy feel. My family was truly able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The beds were wonderful, best sleep we've had in awhile and the kitchen had everything that we needed, including a Keurig coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes and more. Jacuzzi was wonderful after a long day of fishing in Hatteras, which was only 15-20 min drive away. A view of the ocean can be seen while standing at the kitchen sink or from any of attached decks and the beaches are beautiful. TV's are in every bedroom and are all large in size with many channels. Pool table & games are an added bonus for those rainy days or if you just want something extra to do inside. This rental really had it all. Took our fish we caught to a little restaurant just around the corner from the house. The grocery store was just 2-3 minutes from the house along with a dollar general and several gas stations and many little shops. Great location and very quiet. Will stay here again when we come back. Thanks Jessica, you were very accommodating and responded very quickly to emails and phone calls when booking this house. We were in a pinch with time, trying to find somewhere to stay and Jessica made the process very simple and stress free. The getaway that we needed!!!!

The Jetty Cottage was a wonderful choice for our family vacation. The home was extremely clean, cozy and comfortable. The location is just wonderful which made it easy for the whole family to do what they wished. The beach is just a few minute walk from the home and they have a huge pull cart to fill with all your beach goodies! They also have a huge variety of board games to occupy the rainy days, and every single cooking appliance and utensil you will ever need! All you'll need is the food and seasonings! I strongly recommend the Jetty Cottage for your vacation spot, it truly is a relaxing peaceful place.

As the time for our stay at the Jetty Cottage approached, so was Hurricane Hermine! Hermine was was scheduled to arrive the same day we were to drive (from Washington, D.C..) down to Buxton. Jessica suggested we come a day eariler since she did not have renters the week before (no charge, thank you again, Jessica). Luckily we did because they had to close the roads the next day! Hermine came and went and the week was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay at the Jetty Cottage. The house is perfect. Clean, well stocked kitchen. We loved the Keurig coffee machine. And that blender is awesome! We cooked steaks on the grill one evening, easy! I enjoyed taking the very short walked to the beach every morning. We stopped by the store and met Jessica. She is delightful! Thank you for a wonderful week. We highly recommend the Jetty Cottage.

The house is tastefully decorated and has plenty of room for everyone. The kids especially loved the pool table and walking to the shops and ice cream parlor. The kitches had pretty much ecerything you needed to cook with. The beach was a 10 minute walk. Also enjoyed the hot tub. The owner Jessica was very friendly and quick to respond.

This vacation was a Christmas gift from my daughter and son-in law for the whole family. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and we did not and could not afford a vacation. My husband and I have never been to states below Delaware so this was an exciting wish come true. My daughter showed us pictures in December and it was exactly how it appeared. The house was beautiful inside and out. It was nice addition having the linen and towels provided by the owners. We could not ask for a more memorable vacation. We were grateful we were allowed to bring our dog. The location is quiet, beach, shopping is near. Many places of interests to visit. My daughter rented a charter boat to take the family fishing. We each brought home 11 pounds of fish. We will cherish this once in a life time get way, thank you.

Great place. Perfect for four couples (w/ four kids total as well). Kitchen had everything we needed and the Koru passes were great. Beach was nice but water was choppy; great for surfing but cumbersome for kids looking to have fun in the water. Would be nice if a pool was added, but didn't detract from our overall experience. The neighborhood next door needs to lose the chain-link fence. Bit of an eyesore that seems to serve no purpose. Loved the short walk to the lighthouse and views of the lighthouse from Jetty Cottage. Recommending to friends and hope to visit again.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay at our home. We are in the process of obtaining the appropriate permits to add a private pool. We are very excited and will be updating our listing if and when the pool can be installed. Also, I am sorry about the chain link fence surrounding the community behind our home. If we add a pool, we will have a nice fence around it which will help hide that fence from sight. We have also contacted the realty company managing that complex to ask that they make it look a little nicer -but that is out of our control. The good thing is that you can still see the ocean from our decks and we have put a lot of care into making our property top of the line inside and out. In response to the beach by our home, depending on the wind and weather, it can be very flat and calm as well. We enjoy taking our kids to the Pamlico Sound side when the ocean side is rougher as it is always flat with no rolling waves. We are blessed to have the best of both worlds on our island! :) Thank you for choosing our home for your stay and we hope to have you as guests in our home again.

Home is tastefully decorated my Coastal Cottage designs . It has all the amenities you need for meals and entertaining. Family members enjoyed their private baths and tv's. Master en suite on the upper level is very spacious. We used the master closet for a pack n play to allow the baby to have a quite and dark room for sleeping. Host provides linens and sheets as well as dish and laundry detergents. We traveled via plane so we needed this convenience. Besides 4 kings and queen beds there is a daybed located in the upper level master and a sleeper sofa on the lower floor right outside a bedroom. The decks are great and we really liked the patio furniture. The beach cart was a lifesaver as well as the outdoor shower:) Sand toys available too! The pool table was a family favorite . There are shops very close by for souvenirs and eating out as well as a yummy ice cream shop! (Pops Fish House is delicious!) We took a day off from the beach and enjoyed the pool in Avon ( a quick drive up the road) at the Koru beach club. The beach acces is right by the pool ( beaches are cared for by Koru) Tiki bar and restaurant menu available :) We drove up north to Frisco for mini golf, go carts and bumper cars one evening... Lots of fun but remember to apply mosquito repellant:( This home accommodated my family, spouses and 3 grandchildren so well I would recommend for anyone wanting a classy beach home feel, ample space and a home that is equipped with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Jetty Cottage is the perfect choice!

This property is very well maintained and has the best kitchen of any rental our family has ever used. Jessica has thought of almost every item you could need and then she had provided it. The house is up to date and the 5 Master Suite rooms is perfect for a family with children even my grown children. It would also be perfect for a couples outing. This was my 2nd time in OBX but 1st in Buxton. This house is as much a part of the vacation as the area itself. Every household gadget is already there from scissors to a waffle iron and everything in between. The house is clean as a whistle and who doesn't love 5 master suites! Each room is unique and well laid out. House is decorated with beautiful colors. Had the simplest issue with one of the chairs and the owners had it replaced within 24 hours. The response and house exceeded our expectations. Honestly have all positive feedback about both. No hassles, no worries. EVERYTHING is exactly as it appears in the photos. Nice neighbors. Excellent location. Lots to do and see nearby. My only regret is that we didn't stop by the store and tell her in person. You will not be disappointed!

While we are familiar with the Buxton area, this was our first stay at this property. The 5 bedrooms, each with their own bath, was perfect and comfortable. In fact, my father-in-law wants to know what brand of mattress, said he slept great! We found the home clean and very comfortable, and our dog loved it too. I was quite surprised at how nice the neighborhood was (got to know it well walking the dog!) Just two houses down was a catch and release pond that the kids enjoyed fishing and watching the turtles. Neighbors were very friendly, a few rentals, lots of were locals. We found the location perfect, and would definitely stay here again!

Best placed we ever rented in the OBX. Well appointed vacation home beautiful kitchen. We loved the all suite 5 bedroom layout of the Jetty Cottage. The configuration of the bedrooms was perfect for privacy when needed and the common areas, and living rooms, decks we're inviting gathering spots for family interaction. The location of the property was excellent , close to the beach, shopping, and the Buxton lighthouse. The owners were readily available to answer questions and willing to accommodate requests. I look forward to returning to the Jetty Cottage next year.

What a wonderful house to celebrate both the first year wedding anniversary of our niece Allison and husband Greg, and also have our family reunion. My husband Joe's sisters Joanne and Celeste, brother Mike and wife Alice, niece Megan and fiancé Evan along with daughter Olivia and of course me, Joe's wife Joanne stayed in the Perry's house. Joe passed away before the trip but in his memory we celebrated his life while there. Jessica made us feel so at home and welcome in her house; everything was spotless and high end. We didn't want for anything. Everyone commented on the layout of the house, number of bedrooms (TVs in every room), bathrooms for everyone and the fully stocked kitchen. Dining room accommodated us all and the porches were so much fun to watch all the wildlife roaming the grounds. You can hear the ocean from the back porch and see the top of the Lighthouse. Luckily we were there during a full moon and did the night tour of the lighthouse and captured some wonderful pictures. Ensure you visit Jessica at her gift shop (that too is great) and say hello. The Kuru Beach Klub is very nice too, so take advantage of the pool. Have dinner at the Sandbar and Grill (our favorite and be there for sunset). Jetty Cottage was beyond amazing! Don't let the size foul you. This house has plently of room. Every room in the house was comfortable, inviting and decorated with impeccable taste. Large comfortable beds with comfy pillows and linens. Plenty of space for a large family. Decks on the front, back and directly off the mast bedroom. Hot tub was just what we needed. Pet friendly and extremely clean. This house was stocked with every amenity imaginable. Friendly neighbors and just a short distance from Hatteras lighthouse. Quiet neighborhood, only the the wonderful sounds of the surf. We were here for a wedding and will surely come back for a little R&R. Jessica was a doll. Anything you need she was happy to accommodate.

This is a newer home with comfortable and attractive cottage-style furnishings, updated appliances, and lots of living space. It was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the deck off the kitchen especially, as you can relax on the deck chairs or enjoy dinner at the picnic table, and catch a glimpse of the ocean. Neighbors block the view of the Hatteras lighthouse, but you can still see the light sweep across the neighborhood after dark. We flew a kite, hunted for seashells, and visited the nearby Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. Overall, a perfectly relaxing holiday weekend.

We rented Jetty Cottage for a week over spring break and had a wonderful time. The home is well-appointed with 5 master bedrooms and bathrooms. The living room is comfy and was a welcome place to lounge and enjoy some relaxation time. The decks were an added bonus to sit out on during nicer weather and enjoy the sounds of the ocean. The owners were responsive both prior to our trip as well as during our trip when we had questions. I'd recommend Jetty Cottage without hesitation!

We have been vacationing in Outer Banks for 10 plus years. Everything about renting this house was 5 stars. Jessicia the owner was wonderful to work with. She never minded my emails or questions. Once we were in the house everything was more then we had every had in a rental house from the kitchen being fully equiped to the bedroom being comfortable. We couldn't have been happier to have chosen Jetty Cottage for our recent 3 family (6 adult - 5 children) week at the Outer Banks. The owners proved to be gracious and helpful before we even arrived. When we did arrive the house was immaculate - and unlike almost every beach house I have ever stayed in - no one got "stuck" with a room, nor did we have to make the rooms "work" - everyone was happy. The house and the 5 master bedrooms were beautifully appointed and very comfortable - and with the first two days of our trip hampered by rain - the multiple tvs and games helped keep sanity until the sun finally appeared. The owners have done a wonderful job with the house making sure everything we needed was at our disposal, and allowing us to simply enjoy our trip. Even when we had a slight mechanical issue with a sliding door (more nuisance than anything else) - the owners wasted no time fixing the issue. Overall, the house (and its owners) far exceeded our expectations - I truly hope that our next trip to the beach allows us a stay at Jetty Cottage.
