In a small town, situated between Buxton and Hatteras, is the village of Frisco. This area is rich in history and Hatteras Island lore. The Hatterasman, the subdivision where this home is located, is famously named after one of the most classic books ever published about the Island. This Island-famous work of literature was also awarded the 1958 Mayflower Award. Only 700ft away from the ocean, experience a beach opportunity like no other in this Island getaway home! At night, when the stars come out, take in the midnight views, map the skies full of constellations, make a wish on a shooting star, or spot the Milky Way on the top-level deck. Just inside is a cozy living room that is ideally laid out for having evening game, or movie, nights with the whole crew. Hang out and relax under the natural light that shines through the multiple ceiling skylights and massive sliding door windows. Step inside the kitchen area and there is the dining room with even more seating space that sits up to eight hungry vacationers! Even more fun is gathering around for family-style dining! The newly renovated large kitchen also has a small breakfast bar and four additional bar stools for maximized seating space. With the open space kitchen layout, plenty of counter space, you can cook up any feast you fancy without feeling cramped. Directly below is the 'dreamiest' floor in this Fantasy. With four individual rooms and six different beds to choose from, you'll have plenty of options for relaxation and comfort. The king and queen bedrooms share a bath while the other two rooms, each with two single-sized beds, have access to the hall bathroom. For additional bathroom space, the upper level also includes a half bath. With the tackle shops, museums, Diamond Shoals Point, Hatteras Lighthouse, art galleries, and restaurants you'll be living the truest Island experience at this Frisco Fantasy.

My family had an amazing time at Frisco Fantasy. It was perfectly located, perfectly appointed and well equipped with everything we could have wanted. I actually overpacked (not realizing that VACASA had already taken care of most details). The neighbors were lovely and the home is perfect for any family trip. We will be booking again and hope to make many years worth of memories at Frisco Fantasy!

We loved staying in this home and it had all of the amenities you can think of for a week of staying in to cook, relaxing on the beautiful porch (listening to the sound of the ocean) and much more. A short 3 min walk to the beach access was really nice as well. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future!

Great house!

We had an amazing time at this house. It’s spacious, the kitchen is stocked with cooking supplies/utensils (& even spices), & has lots of different books, puzzles, and games for entertainment for the kids (& adults!). We especially appreciated the extra beach chairs and tent as we accidentally forgot our beach shade at home. The walk to the beach was short & easy (pretty steep up the dune which might be difficult for those with mobility issues) but even our 4 year old walked back & forth without asking to be carried. Definitely recommend this home!

Memorial Day Long weekend

Enough room for everyone to spread out . Great stocked kitchen. Really enjoyed it. Be mindful of the dune heading to beach . Only 5 min walk and your in waves . But anyone with mobility issues would have a hard time with dune

I have rented lots of homes over the years, and so far this one has been one of the best. Easy walk and accessible to the beach. Just a three minute walk. This home has everything you can possibly need from a blender to a crockpot, just like being at your own home. There was also beach supplies like a cart and boogie boards the kids loved using. We also enjoyed sitting up on the top deck to watch sunrise and sunset. It rained a couple of days but the kids were entertained with the games that are in the house. My kids also enjoyed riding to the store that was just down the road. We will be staying again.

Frisco Fantasy was a wonderful place to stay for the weekend. The house is well kept and maintained, the kitchen was extremely well stocked, and the open layout living space was a wonderful place to spend time with family. The beach is a short 3 minute walk from the house. The sleeping spaces were no-frills but comfortable. Its not the most luxurious beach house in the world, but it was an incredible value and i`d happily recommend it again. Great house in close beach proximity

This was a great house for our party of 7. You can tell the owners have utilized space in the house to the fullest potential, but it didn't ever feel cramped. It was great to be able to easily walk to the beach. The main living area is open and spacious. The generously-sized second-level deck was a great place to relax morning and evening with some views of the ocean. The kitchen is well-stocked and we appreciated that there were three bathrooms.

Short walk to the beach.

The house was a short walk to the beach but there is a dune to cross and the sand gets super hot. Other than that, house was wonderful and cozy. It was exactly as the pictures show. I could’ve stayed there forever. The communal pool is about a 20 minute drive away. I wish it had been closer as I think that was the only downfall.
