Description

Sunshine is a 4,600-square-foot home, custom-designed for the ultimate sound front vacation experience. Drive through the tall pines and live oaks of Indiantown Shores into the secluded cul-de-sac at the end of Live Oak Lane to arrive at Sunshine. The Pamlico Sound is just feet away, offering great wind sports, kayaking, fishing, clamming, and crabbing. This home caters to folks who are looking to hang out together while exploring the beach, the sound, the neighborhood, and all the adventure this special island has to offer.
The first floor of this two-level home showcases an expansive game room where the whole crew can play pool, Ping-Pong, foosball, or shuffleboard, or step onto the deck and jump into the seven-person hydrotherapy hot tub. The bonus den has a home theater, surround sound, games, and puzzles. On top of that, there is also a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, a washer/dryer, and a full bath.
The first-floor bedroom wing has 3 bedrooms (king; queen with set of bunk beds; two twin beds) with 9-foot ceilings. Two of them have private baths and the primary bedroom has direct access to the deck.
On the second level, you will be awestruck by the view of Pamlico Sound through the 22-foot floor-to-ceiling windows. The expansive great room boasts plenty of space for the whole family to hang out while admiring the gorgeous sound view, playing games, or watching something on the large TV. The group chef will love the well-equipped kitchen which is adorned with a six-burner Viking gas stove, a double oven, two dishwashers, and a large pantry. Sit at the center island with a breakfast bar to socialize, eat, prep, or simply keep the cook company. The dining area can comfortably seat your whole crew.
The bedroom wing on this floor also has 3 bedrooms, each with a private bath. One has a king bed with direct access to the deck and another has a queen bed plus a set of bunk beds. The fun kids' room features two sets of bunk beds and a loft area with bean bags and a TV for watching their favorite movies.
Outside Sunshine, you'll find a large under-house carport, two outdoor showers, a fish-cleaning table, 4 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, lifejackets, and a half-bath.

THINGS TO KNOW
Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details about this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open from mid-May to mid-October, depending on the weather.
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

We loved our stay at Sunshine!
Pros:
- Huge kitchen, double ovens, dishwashers, the gas range/hood was commercial quality. Mini kitchen downstairs w/ a full fridge & extra microwave. Wine cooler, classic coffee makers & Keurig coffee makers.
-2 dining areas upstairs, additional big dining table on top deck.
- Plenty for kids of all ages. High chair, packnplay, baby gates, a room full of board games, puzzles, ping pong, pool table, foosball, & shuffleboard.
- 2 WASHER & DRYERS, amazing.
- Kayaks, life vests of all sizes & boogie boards

Cons:
- WiFi was spotty/slow but there were also some windy days that prob didn’t help, cell reception was awful so we needed that WiFi
-the Airbnb listing mentioned a pool but there were no clear instructions on how to access/where. We never cared to go, so I didn’t ask agency
-confusing emails stating I had keyless entry & next said I needed to pickup a key in Avon. Electronic keypad would’ve been much more convenient.

We have been coming to OBX for years, usually 2-3x/year, have stayed in the Corolla, Kill Devil Hills, and Kitty Hawk area but decided to go a bit further south this year to Frisco and our vaca home this year (Sunshine) did not disappoint! The kitchen (and downstairs mini kitchen) were amazing, the bedroom/bathroom set-up was perfect for our large group, the home was very well kept and had plenty to keep the kids/adults occupied. I’d say the only complaint anyone had all week was the WiFi speeds but there were also some major winds for 2 days that I’m sure had a hand in the signal going in and out and a bunch of us connecting devices because the cellular signal is so spotty in that area. My 5 year old cried that he didn’t want to leave, the entire group suggested we stay there again next year, it was definitely our favorite house yet!

Even though the weather wasn’t the best the weekend we were there, we had an absolute blast at Sunshine! Plenty to do in the house - we thoroughly enjoyed dueling in pool, shuffleboard, and ping pong. We also loved that there were so many different hangout spots. The hot tub was a go-to! Everything was clean and the beds were super comfortable. So nice that every room had its own bathroom. Would definitely visit again!!

The view is just so beautiful especially the sunsets. The week we went was very windy and a little cool, but we made the best of it. Great for large families plenty of room, endless activities such as pool, shuffle board, ping pong, movies, games, books, kayaks, paddle boards something for everyone. The hot tub was very relaxing and swing on the porch was so comfortable. Loved watching the sunsets on the upper balcony. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook for a large group of people and large dining room table to sit and enjoy each other. This is the best beach house I have stayed in in the last eight years and will definitely be back.

Me and my family spent a week at the house. We loved that the kitchen was filled with everything you could possibly need while on vacation, pots, pans, all kinds of utensil etc.. We loved using the kayaks and paddle boards nightly to watch the beautiful sunset. And if you don’t like to kayak or paddle board the views from both decks are amazing. We love that there was plenty of seating for the whole family at the dinner table so we could have family dinner together. The game room was awesome the kids spent most night down there playing pool, ping pong and doing puzzles. We loved that there were plenty of dvds, games and puzzles provided to keep the kids busy. I could go on and on with all the things we loved about the home. It’s one of the best homes my sister (who vacations to OBX every year) said she has been to ever in OBX. If/when we visit OBX again, we would definitely rent this home again. Trust me the house does not disappoint.

This house was a great place to stay for the week, and after years of traveling to the Frisco / Hatteras area it may have been the best we've had. The bedroom / bathroom set up was amazing. The house was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed as a group. The view of the sound was fantastic, and the access to the water was a great thing to have! Having access to use the house kayaks / paddleboards was a real benefit and we had a blast using them all week. We loved the house so much that we already booked for next year! Highly recommended as a place to stay!

Awesome Home with great views!

Great big waterfront property with lots of amenities. The main highlight is the Family room with high ceiling and lots of windows that offer a breathtaking view of the bay. Great view from the deck both at the upper and lower level. Kids loved the game room and movie/reading room. Very close to Frisco beach.

The house was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. The views of the sound from the top floor are amazing. It looks like you are on top of the water. The kids loved all ping pong and pool tables. They also have a ton of board games, puzzles, and movies. If you have a large group and want a place where you can all be together or have lots of room to spread out, definitely book the Sunshine!

Beautiful home and nice quiet location

We had a fabulous time. The house had everything you could need. Just a few things missing like drying towels-with two dishwashers I guess you wouldn't expect someone to wash dishes by hand. and extra white garbage bags-the kitchen is so well stocked with anything you could need to cook with-maybe on one normally has extra garbage.

This house was beyond perfect for us! It had everything we needed and more! Lots to do at the house and the beds were so so comfortable. A perfect place for a reunion of old friends. I hope to be able to return someday!

Best vacation home we've ever stayed in!!!

Where to start? We had a group of 13 people and there was not a moment that we felt even slightly crowded. The house is so spacious with huge rooms and wide hallways and super tall ceilings. The view of the sound out of the back of the house is breathtaking! We loved having a table that was able to seat all of us to eat and the kitchen is amazing! Better stocked than most regular homes with pans, bowls dishes, glasses, silverware, baking dishes, cutting boards enough to host very large crowds. We loved that on both floors the bedroom wings are separated by french doors so that people can be up and about in the kitchen/great room or in the game room on the first floor while others are sleeping with no problem. The game room on the first floor was a blast! We used it constantly and we also loved the family room down there which gave a second tv watching/hangout area. The hot tub on the deck is amazing! Overlooking the sound and it fits 7 people. Very clean and in great shape! We used it several times per day! We also used the kayaks that were there in the sound and that was so much fun. The neighborhood is great - so quiet and such friendly and helpful neighbors. Very close to anything we needed as far as stores, beaches, etc. Beds are very comfortable. Also loved that there are washer/dryers on both floors. Just a fantastic vacation home overall. Highly recommend!!

Sunshine, good for the soul

We fell in love with Sunshine the moment we arrived. It is such a huge house with all the amenities. Loved the shower room, shuffle board table, movie room, kitchen, kayaks, and hot tub. The sunsets over the sound were the best. Kayaking was beautiful. Every morning I would go out on the deck and swing on the porch swing and watch the birds and boats on the sound. I would recommend this house for sure, one of the best.

This home offers some of the best sounds front views around! Plenty of space for the whole family and the game room is a huge hit with the kids! The kitchen was awesome to cook in and the two dishwasher definitely came in handy. Definitely will be coming back again!

My extended family and I spent a wonderful week here after being switched into this house last minute due to a bed bug infestation at the home we had originally rented. This place is HUGE! With 2 TV rooms, 2 big decks, too many beds to count, and a large game room, everyone had room to do their thing, together or apart. The game room was a big hit, with ping pong, pool, pool table, and shuffleboard. The hot tub was nice. The view from the deck overlooking the sound was great, especially for sunsets. Kids will love the little loft area with TV in the bunk room upstairs. This is a great place to relax and spend time together with family and friends. One small disappointment which was no one's fault is the access to kite and windsurfing. We usually rent a house with easy access to those things. Even though you are right there on the sound, you are in a bay that interrupts all but westerly winds. The backyard area is small for setting up kites and getting one last the wooden structures in the water (erosion barriers?) would be tough. You would need to go out a couple hundred yards at least before getting uninterrupted wind. We brought all of our kite and windsurfing gear but had to drive about 15 minutes north to a public beach to do our surfing (which we never did because we're getting old and lazy). However, there were 2 paddle boards and 2 or 3 sea kayaks available for our use, which was a really nice touch. Overall, this is a really beautiful house in a beautiful location and is perfect for spending time with large families or groups of friends. I would highly recommend this place.

Large home, room layout is great for multiple families. The best sound view I've had in many years of coming to OBX. Well stocked with things to do and use of the water toys is something not all rentals have. We had a great week even though it rained quite a bit.

We loved being right on the Sound..so quiet, beautiful sunsets and plenty of marine life to see from our balcony. Great neighborhood, easy access to other beaches, fresh seafood. Great place for a family gathering.

Short driving distance to the Frisco beach access with regular bathroom facilities which was great. Found plenty of wonderful shells for our collection.

The house was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. The views of the sound from the top floor are amazing. It looks like you are on top of the water. The kids loved all ping pong and pool tables. They also have a ton of board games, puzzles, and movies. If you have a large group and want a place where you can all be together or have lots of room to spread out, definitely book the Sunshine!

Great big waterfront property with lots of amenities. The main highlight is the Family room with high ceiling and lots of windows that offer a breathtaking view of the bay. Great view from the deck both at the upper and lower level. Kids loved the game room and movie/reading room. Very close to Frisco beach.

We had a fabulous time. The house had everything you could need. Just a few things missing like drying towels-with two dishwashers I guess you wouldn't expect someone to wash dishes by hand. and extra white garbage bags-the kitchen is so well stocked with anything you could need to cook with-maybe on one normally has extra garbage.

This house was beyond perfect for us! It had everything we needed and more! Lots to do at the house and the beds were so so comfortable. A perfect place for a reunion of old friends. I hope to be able to return someday!

Where to start? We had a group of 13 people and there was not a moment that we felt even slightly crowded. The house is so spacious with huge rooms and wide hallways and super tall ceilings. The view of the sound out of the back of the house is breathtaking! We loved having a table that was able to seat all of us to eat and the kitchen is amazing! Better stocked than most regular homes with pans, bowls dishes, glasses, silverware, baking dishes, cutting boards enough to host very large crowds. We loved that on both floors the bedroom wings are separated by french doors so that people can be up and about in the kitchen/great room or in the game room on the first floor while others are sleeping with no problem. The game room on the first floor was a blast! We used it constantly and we also loved the family room down there which gave a second tv watching/hangout area. The hot tub on the deck is amazing! Overlooking the sound and it fits 7 people. Very clean and in great shape! We used it several times per day! We also used the kayaks that were there in the sound and that was so much fun. The neighborhood is great - so quiet and such friendly and helpful neighbors. Very close to anything we needed as far as stores, beaches, etc. Beds are very comfortable. Also loved that there are washer/dryers on both floors. Just a fantastic vacation home overall. Highly recommend!!

We fell in love with Sunshine the moment we arrived. It is such a huge house with all the amenities. Loved the shower room, shuffle board table, movie room, kitchen, kayaks, and hot tub. The sunsets over the sound were the best. Kayaking was beautiful. Every morning I would go out on the deck and swing on the porch swing and watch the birds and boats on the sound. I would recommend this house for sure, one of the best.

This home offers some of the best sounds front views around! Plenty of space for the whole family and the game room is a huge hit with the kids! The kitchen was awesome to cook in and the two dishwasher definitely came in handy. Definitely will be coming back again!

My extended family and I spent a wonderful week here after being switched into this house last minute due to a bed bug infestation at the home we had originally rented. This place is HUGE! With 2 TV rooms, 2 big decks, too many beds to count, and a large game room, everyone had room to do their thing, together or apart. The game room was a big hit, with ping pong, pool, pool table, and shuffleboard. The hot tub was nice. The view from the deck overlooking the sound was great, especially for sunsets. Kids will love the little loft area with TV in the bunk room upstairs. This is a great place to relax and spend time together with family and friends. One small disappointment which was no one's fault is the access to kite and windsurfing. We usually rent a house with easy access to those things. Even though you are right there on the sound, you are in a bay that interrupts all but westerly winds. The backyard area is small for setting up kites and getting one last the wooden structures in the water (erosion barriers?) would be tough. You would need to go out a couple hundred yards at least before getting uninterrupted wind. We brought all of our kite and windsurfing gear but had to drive about 15 minutes north to a public beach to do our surfing (which we never did because we're getting old and lazy). However, there were 2 paddle boards and 2 or 3 sea kayaks available for our use, which was a really nice touch. Overall, this is a really beautiful house in a beautiful location and is perfect for spending time with large families or groups of friends. I would highly recommend this place.

Large home, room layout is great for multiple families. The best sound view I've had in many years of coming to OBX. Well stocked with things to do and use of the water toys is something not all rentals have. We had a great week even though it rained quite a bit.

We loved being right on the Sound..so quiet, beautiful sunsets and plenty of marine life to see from our balcony. Great neighborhood, easy access to other beaches, fresh seafood. Great place for a family gathering.
