Sound-front Wind Therapy is a hit. There is something special about the winding road through the oak and bay trees of the Indian Town Shores subdivision. 1,710-square-foot Wind Therapy shares a bit of a natural shoreline at the beginning of the expansive Pamlico Sound. The sound-front views of water, wetlands, wildlife, and the stars are extraordinary. Wind Therapy is a watersports mecca. Whether you want to surf, paddle, or fish, there is always something to get excited about. Wind Therapy has a park grill and a large outdoor shower for gear and guests. Wind Therapy has some of our favorite fully-furnished sundecks that wrap around the waterfront side of the house and include a split level down to the sound. The hot tub on the upper deck offers excellent views and easy access to the interior. The entry at the first level places guests in the heart of the action. Clean tile floors span the kitchen, dining, bath, and living surfaces. Water views cover every inch of exciting Wind Therapy. A comfy sectional sofa completes the living area, including an extra-large LED Roku-enabled TV and DVD player. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a custom wood breakfast bar with good seating, and ample countertop space. The dining area is close by for easy access. Your dinner guests will love dining against a marvelous sunset. A washer/dryer adds convenience. All bedrooms have new luxury vinyl plank flooring and Roku TVs. The upstairs bonus room has vinyl plank flooring, tall ceilings, a Roku TV, and a full bathroom. The waterfront game room has comfortable seating, vinyl plank flooring, foosball, and postcard-worthy views. Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. Streaming services are available with guests' own accounts. All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details about this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during check-in. The club is typically open from mid-May to mid-October, depending on the weather. You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we receive your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

The location on the sounds was great. The porch and hot tub were wonderful. It was not the cleanest home. The couch downstairs and futon upstairs were covered in dog hair. I called upon arrival on Saturday, someone showed up at the door Tuesday without notice to look at it. At that point we’d cleaned the downstairs ourselves and just avoided the futon. The dishwasher messed up and after the 2nd text I got a response and someone showed up the next morning to fix it quickly. Beds were comfortable. Showers/bathrooms were clean, good water pressure. Should probably be more info on the site about the pool, pool was 20 minutes from the house. The description read like it was in the same community as the home. Overall the house was comfortable for our family of 8.

The house was absolutely gorgeous and we loved the view!! The sunsets were incredible over the sound. We got married on the deck and it was perfect! I couldn’t have asked for a better week! Furniture and beds were not very comfortable but we made it work! I’d absolutely stay here again. Showers were amazing, water pressure perfect, and the hot tub is great! 100/10 would recommend staying here

Had a wonderful stay at Wind Therapy! We stayed here as a group of friends and family over the July 4th holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our time hanging out, cooking meals, doing puzzles, paddleboarding and relaxing. There was plenty of space for the adults and teenagers, and the view of the sound is incredible. We'll be back!

This house was perfect for for our family. We brought our three kids and our dog. The views were out of this world with a beautiful sunset every night. The neighborhood has pleasant neighbors and a quiet no outlet street. The location is convenient, close to Buxton and Hatteras villages, and right down the road from Alien Java (also an amazing must have). The Internet was an issue but it was no fault of the home, it seemed as if the cable company was working on it all week. I would definitely recommend this home.. but just not the weeks I want to be there haha 💙

My family found this home very clean and extremely comfortable! The view off of the decks and water access was a delight! We enjoyed watching the sunset everyday as well! All appliances (dishwasher, washer/dryer, stove/microwave, refrigerator, and A/C unit functioned exactly how they should. We loved our stay here and would definitely visit again!

This home had everything you would need- so many kitchen supplies, tvs in every room, and extra blankets in all of the bedrooms. The mattresses were really comfortable too! The location was just perfect. The 3 level deck made sitting out on the water a dream. I will definitely be renting this place again!

We loved this home. Views for days! We enjoyed some gorgeous sunsets and plenty to watch out on the sound. Well equipped kitchen. Awesome fenced deck area for dog to roam freely but safe. Sound access for play, wading, or fishing. Loved the split bathroom option on first floor- shower separate from toilet/sink. There is under House parking but a full truck won’t fit under all the way due to angle, but that’s minor unless it’s pouring rain and you’re loading up. We would rent this place again for our spring week.

This is our second year in a row at Wind Therapy! We love the home and the views over the sound at sunset are spectacular! The home is well kept after and feels like home. We noticed a few upgrades this year that we liked.

Fantastic pet-friendly vacation home!

This was our first stay at Wind Therapy and we absolutely loved it! The sound views, especially the sunsets, were wonderful. Water access for launching kayaks was easy. Our yellow lab, Ranger, had fun in the water there and at the beach. His first visit to OBX. The house was comfortable and clean. A few minor maintenance issues were taken care of quickly the the Vacasa staff. The kitchen has everything you need for preparing the fresh local seafood. The handheld shower head in the upstairs bathroom was much appreciated as rentals usually don't have them, in my experience. The neighborhood was quiet and people were friendly. Ranger enjoyed his walks and made new friends. Hopefully, we'll be back.

My family and I loved this house. Great views, great location, lots of seating, and a pretty quiet road (to walk the dogs on). The only thing it lacked was some shade on the back deck. It was a very, very hot week and the sun was brutal back there. For the first few days we did not really use the deck. Then one of us bought one of those pop open canopy things from Wings and set it up. Then we were able to enjoy the deck in the afternoons. The hot tub was fairly new and all the buttons and jets still worked (which is rare in our over 10 year OBX renting experience). Loved our visit to this house and might rent it again if it is available (and still dog-friendly).

Wind therapy provided everything we were looking for in a beach rental. The location in Frisco was perfect as it was close to all the popular things we enjoy. The house was perfect and provided us with a great home feeling. The sound views and access for kayaking was unbelievable.

This cottage is one of the best kept secrets on the island. From the location to the amenities to the little touches from the owners themselves, you will truly love every moment spent at Wind Therapy. Located on a quiet residential street, the sound is quite literally your backyard. The multi-leveled deck offers amazing views and beautiful sunsets. The cottage itself is well appointed and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. This is our favorite place to stay on Hatteras Island. You won’t be disappointed.

The location on the sounds was great. The porch and hot tub were wonderful. It was not the cleanest home. The couch downstairs and futon upstairs were covered in dog hair.
